Disappointing

I was so excited about this pump, as I had been using a manual pump to express milk and it was getting arduous and time consuming so, after much deliberation I chose the medela swing double pump - given all its claims.

Sadly, this pump just doesn’t work well for me, my hand manual pump allows me to express more than this electric double pump. Now, considering the price of it, I am super disappointed. I’ve tried expressing at different times, in different patterns and with adjusting the flanges into varying positions even during the expressing session and I just get dribbles. I’ve tried leaning forward, back, sideways and just normal relaxed and still the same output.

I can’t return it as once opened it cannot be returned, so now I’m stuck with a very expensive pump that I can’t use. This makes me sad and pisses me off a bit quite frankly - because there should be some kind of contingency in place from the company should it not work for a said woman in her expressing journey. Now, what am I supposed to do with a pump that I can’t use to express with?

Double Charges, no order

Pushes for subscription for code that was sent to email, put it in and when paying was charged twice and the order did not go through because now "code is invalid". No order, no discount, but still charged, twice

Terrible service

Terrible service. I needed something urgently and when it finally arrived I was sent the wrong product. When you pay a lot of money for a product you expect a better service.

Absolute disgrace - pump didn't work and no refund

If you want to waste £250, this is the way to go.
We bought a pump in anticipation of our baby being born.
We opened the box once baby was born as we needed to pump milk.
However, the pump didn't work out of the box. It refused to power on, the light indicator didn't work and the pump is not charging at all. This is absolutely unacceptable - we are now left with no other way to pump milk and need to buy another pump. Needless to say I wanted to send this pump back and receive a refund, but this hasn't happened yet.

The best customer service ever received

I made my first order of breast shells and it’s been promptly shipped with UPS as I chose to collect it from a UPS point to save on delivery charge. The access point apparently moved and UPS held my parcel in their warehouse without getting in touch with me. I sent an email to Medela’s customer service and a couple of hours later they called me saying they got in touch with both UPS and the access point, and if I was happy to redirect my parcel to my home address. Then I received a call from UPS to confirm the address. Appalling service from UPS who delivered over a week later, but fantastic customer service from Medela! They solved my issue in no time (even if it wasn’t their fault) and didn’t have to pay any difference for get it delivered to my home address.
I received my breast shells today and I’m very happy with my purchase! They were well packed and seems a very good quality product. Will order from them again.

Excellent customer service

The pump itself is great. I was nervous about returning to work but pumping milk is one less thing to worry about.

I had mislaid a part of the pump and was devastated as I needed it ASAP, I am so glad I bought directly from them and glad I contacted them as they have helped me get the missing piece and it was so refreshing to receive excellent customer care. Thanks Lisa.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. I bought a pack of milk storage bags from Medela in 2019 and a bag split whilst it was full of milk. I saved the pack thinking it was a one off. I have recently had my second child and used a storage bag to contain my breast milk and it split (from the same pack of bags). I poured water into the rest of the bags and they were all faulty. I sent an email stating this to their customer service and they had no sympathy and weren’t willing to compensate. I would expect Medela, a large company, would be able to sympathise with a mother who has been through enough and has enough stress on her plate as a new mum. Breast milk is like liquid gold. I struggle to pump much milk so to have lost the milk I was trying to store away was extremely upsetting

My pump arrived quickly despite the covid situation and even though I have had a problem since then the customer service has been excellent and Tracy C has dealt with this promptly for me and made me feel like nothing was a hassle. Thank you!
