As someone who is active in the Retro Emulation Handheld hobby I’m constantly looking for reliability and importantly in this hobby good customer service. There are but a few reliable retailers in the emulation handheld space, with MechDIY being at the top of that list. I think it is important to point out when a retailer in this space is a valuable resource for purchasing these devices to help my fellow hobbyists. Sure you can save $5 here and there by ordering from seller Shop96436u6XXX on sites like AliExpress who have no accountability. Nothing is worse than after waiting for 2 weeks receiving a lightbulb instead of the handheld you ordered. Now that random shop no longer exists and likely no refund of your money. This should never happen yet almost all of us have experienced it. Now that all the fixtures are well illuminated in my home from this happening to me, I’ve found reliability and customer service very important in my new gaming investments. With MechDIY you get both and often their sales save me more anyways. MechDIY often has handhelds available before the market, has always been there to answer my questions and I receive orders in a timely matter none of which have ever been an unsolicited toilet brush. Few sellers in this space get my recommendation but I’ll leave it to you to value what’s important.
