I remember the day that I stood on top of the roof of the new extension of the head office building and considered jumping off.

I was suffering major depression following a number of life changing experiences including cancer during the Covid pandemic and then the impact of my wife stabbing me in my back and the thought of jumping off not only offended me the thought of freedom from my pain and suffering but also a message to what people had done to me.

Writing this today, says so far I have managed to fight this thought.

I always buy mccain chips for years but they are always a lot of bad chips recently I have to throw away, and a lot of tiny ones that burn and what we pay for them surely we should get better quality chips and not the same as cheap bags at a £1:50 bag

I think its shameful that the Company with the moto we are Family has staff working boxing day night as they say boxing day ends at 7 pm and not midnight. So no family day as in bed all afternoon ready for a 7pm start. Bet the CEO AND directors will be enjoying the full boxing day experience. All comes diwn to greed and accounting data

I've been buying the mccain naked chips for a while. But over the last few months or so. I've been having the issue where they don't cook evenly. I'm using the same oven or air fryer. My missus and another person is having the same issue. These chips were brought from different retailers. Somethings is definitely up. Even more so now reading all these reviews.

I am utterly dismayed by the deplorable quality of the potato sticks in your product. When we shell out a premium for a supposedly top-notch brand, the least we anticipate is a basic level of quality control in selecting the potatoes used for processing. How can you possibly justify selling such a wretched, substandard batch of potatoes for frying and consumption in our own homes?

I implore the company to thoroughly investigate this grievous matter and take immediate, substantive measures to enhance the overall quality of your product. I have included images for your reference, which serve as undeniable evidence of the inferior quality we've been subjected to. It's high time you addressed this issue to protect the interests of your customers and preserve your reputation.

McCain chemical chip!
Omg the worse chips I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know what nasty chemicals they’re using on the potatoes, but you can taste something really nasty in the potato. Not even 1 star! When will these companies be held accountable?!

Bought frozen chip's they taste like dirt not too happy

Bought the onion chips yesterday this was burnt brown chunks in the bag
Tried to contact customer service everytime I would file a complaint it would come back something went wrong

I called into Iceland to get mccains crinklecut chips they were sold out so I purchased two bags of Iceland own and noticed there was no bad black chips amongst them I have thrown out a lot of black chips in mc cains chips I hope this review will help the factory that makes the chips take action to better the brand thankyou.

The chips are nasty coated in something very greasy!

Somethings wrong with McCains fries.
They taste and smell BAD
They didn’t used to but now they are vile.

I agree with another response. Chips burn one side and even though I keep turning them some still remain soggy. I have always bought McCain chips but unless they do something about the problems we are experiencing I think I will have to try another brand if this continues. Perhaps they should concentrate on quality of chips instead of boasting in the tv advert how they are helping to save the planet.

Been amazing for years but now they burn on one side, are soggy and taste like really old oil.
3 packets I bought through August and all the same.
I'm fairness to McCain they gave me a voucher but purchased again from a different source and they're the same.

Really old tasting, burn and don't cook through.
I wondered if they changed the recipe but they claim not.

Absolutely awful quality chips.
Second time using them, burn very easily on side nearest to electric bars of mini oven... Even on a very low heat... Binning the rest of the packet, never again!

I have noticed recently how many of the chips in the packet I buy have bad bits in and lots of little bits of chips that just burn if you cook them.Its never been this bad.The quality control is obviously not working.

Been buying different McCain oven chips for decades now. Won't be buying again. Since lockdown have noticed more and more black chips in each bag. In this last ever bag I bought at least a third were black.
Premium price for a less than premium product. The quality never used to be like this. Obviously since lockdown all that matters is profit and not quality. Time for me to find a new brand.

The McCain Beer Battered Onion Rings are by far the worst onion rings I've ever eaten. They were extremely bland and it was like eating onion rings covered in tasteless cardboard. I threw the entire bag in the garbage!

I have bought McCain oven chips for a number of years but won’t buy them again. The latest bag was full of black chips and they didn’t cook properly burning on the edges and staying soggy on the rest of the chip. Extremely disappointing

I used to regularly buy the small pack of two cheese and Tomato pizzas and microwave/ oven cookthey were lovely. Have a long running saga w my oven being out of action,, last few times I have bought these pizzas the dough is not cooked almost raw . Last week the dough collapsed and the hot cheesy mess was all over the plate. Bring back the days of the circular foil disc ... Tho, did read when searching for this McCains have sold up
