Really bad first experience with MBP
Really bad first experience with MBP. I sent my drone to sell, they didn't take it because of an issue with the drone. They gave it back to me, with my box completely broken !! Then, I fixed the issue, try to sell it again. They still didn't take it. First and last time I use their service. Loss of time.

They damaged my lens and kept it two months after I sent them a demand letter with intent to sue. I am suing them for damages and replacement as well as for two months rental of the lens. They tried to say it came like that and that the focus ring was "stiff".. then they intentionally not only listed my lens, but made it dirty so they could claim it was not well taken care off.
My lens was CERTIFIED REFURBISHED .. FROM THE FACTORY! I had not used it even once since it came back from Canon.
These people are lying crooks. DO NOT trust them! They messed with the wrong person and now they WILL find out as I will now see them in court.

BS story
BS story, my lens that was few months old and stored in normal climate had: moisture inside the optics, similar BS KEH tried: fungus inside the lens etc. I suggest to all to demand a video and pics with your serial number on it and see any defects. I inspect my gear myself in bright light inside out before I sell.

Their courier service is fast, simple and efficient.
Their after-sales support is superb, whether by email or phone.
By comparison to eBay, mpb are highly predictable, straightforward, and trouble free. With eBay, I get more stress, fickle customers, remote to zero support, eBay charges, plus Royal Mail frustrations.

The website is generally reliable with a good selection of gear. However, when it comes to dealing with issues, my experience was quite frustrating.
Some time ago, I purchased an SLR camera from them. Recently, I encountered exposure problems, only to discover it was a common hardware issue with that model. I reached out to their helpdesk for assistance. They offered to replace my camera with the same model, despite my request for a different one. Initially, I accepted this solution.
However, upon receiving the replacement, I was disappointed to find a generic charger instead of the genuine one, and the same exposure problem persisted. Frustrated, I contacted the helpdesk again. This time, after some back and forth, they agreed to allow me to change to a different model. I returned the faulty camera they sent me.
After over a week, I received an email from the helpdesk requesting that I return also the charger. I was perplex because I returned all items received. Futhermore, considering I was going to changed model, I had no reason to keep the charger. When I raised this issue with the helpdesk, they seemed clueless and suggested checking with the reception if they had misplaced it, which I found ridiculous.
It's been a month since my initial contact with their helpdesk, and I must say, it's the one of the most inefficient one I've ever encountered.

The lens I ordered was in perfect shape and 80% less than retail price.
Superb service all round
Absolutely superb communications (Ollie Phillips) and service. Received a competitive price for my camera kit, sent it in via DPD then received a higher price as MBP said my gear was actually better than at first quoted. I cannot fault MBP’s service from start to finish, thanks.

Lack of Shuttecount on mirrorless
Have stopped giving shuttercounts on all mirrorless cameras despite being easy to obtain. (Check WEX Park cameras etc
Mainly this allows them to sell high use, good cosmetic condition cameras for a inflated price.
I also notice EXCELLENT Condition lens that in description has water/moisture inside.
Hence be careful as you could easily be being ripped off

I have purchased and traded a few items with MBP over the last few years and just have to say how reliable and efficient they are. The equipment is always delivered within 2 or 3 days and as advertised, well packaged and in good working order. My most recent experience was just amazing; I had a Gymbal set up that I was no longer using and asked for a quote from MBP as an outright sale rather than a trade. The response I got was very rewarding and only after sending the equipment in (which was collected by DPD and received by MBP within a day), I was contacted to advise me that my quote had been upgraded by £70.00 as I had put the wrong equipment description down on my quote application. I received my payment from MBP within a day! You can't get more trustworthy than that! Will always recommend MBP to fellow photographers as the place to get excellent quality used equipment at bargain prices with rapid service and delivery. Thank you MBP.

Sent a dslr for trade in, without a scratch on the sensor.
They told me they couldn't buy it, because, you've guessed it, it has a scratch on the sensor. Someone is telling porkies here, and it certainly isn't me..obviously damaged by whoever was testing it.
Unfortunately I can't prove it, so if you are going to send anything to them, back yourself up with pics and serial numbers of everything.
Con Artists
Scam! Avoid at all costs
I sent in a Go Pro with housing and wrist strap and they deducted 80% off the quote saying it was a third party product when it wasn’t so I asked for it to be returned, they only returned the camera and not the housing or wrist strap - absolute con artists!
They work on a 'pawn shop' basis
They work on a 'pawn shop' basis. Quote you low if you're selling, outrageous deductions on from the online quote if there is a flaw, even minor ones. When buying they have made £ from your kit via low quotes, (which they give to everyone) then sell at a price that seems reasonable, only due to said low quote. They make a profit twice off the same gear. They will pick out every flaw possible during the selling process yet will quite happily sell you kit that has not been described accurately. On the good side, I have to say their customer service is mostly good. The best way to contact the customer service staff is usually via online chat. That way you also have a record of any conversation.
Scam please run
Scam please run... I ordered a camera everything costing almost 300 pounds. They cancelled my order and said they'll refund me. It has been almost 2 weeks I have not gotten my money back. No camera no refund. Please I need my money back. Customer service is totally bull shittttt, same response to different question like it was automated
