i had a flood claim in my new home & the max insurance coverage was amazing, and so was the service provided by Kelly B. she was attentive, proactive, checked in regularly & was all around very sweet & easy to deal with. claim is closed & i couldn't be happier! max insurance is the best!

They overcharge people and treat their customers like garbage.
For my policy renewal for home insurance they tried to charge me $28000 and took $2400 for a months fee and then ripped me off again on the return of my money

Its too bad you have to give a full star. First after one year ower payments have jumped over $60 a month. We have never han an insurance claim and are 45 and 46 yrs old. We had a wind storm beginning of December and just got called about ower claim now Feb 19. We had the roof inspected due to the damage from a 5 star roofer of 50 yrs say the garage and house would need to be replaced. Max insurance sent there own guy then nothing then a second which at that time the damaged side was under snow inspect it without touching a single snowflake on the roof and came back the good side needed $1000 in repairs which is our deductible but good news the bad damaged side we had to get our roofer to nail flaps of roof down now under the undisturbed snow is fine. We even took dated pictures of the snow after he left. When I argued it I was basically told ya sorry its what were going to go off of. Not the 5 star roofer who's been doing this for 50 years. Said I guess ill have to come up with the money and redo it my self and switch companies. Response was ya that's too bad sorry.

Responded to correspondence quickly and mostly had all of our answers on the first try. The only issue that we had was pushing us to get our inventory list done too quickly. No issues getting our payout.

Help- I’m currently a Max customer with insurance for 2 houses. ( expires Feb 13)
My broker, Liebel, does not deal with Max anymore.
I’m unable to contact Max to renew my policy’s. I’ve tried calling, they only talk to brokers. I’ve tried a new broker, and broker said they wouldn’t accept the letter of broker transfer.
Max please call me- I just want to renew and pay.

⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience with Max Insurance
I had an extremely frustrating experience with Max Insurance and would not recommend them. I was insured with them for one year after they offered me what seemed like a great deal when I purchased my property. Out of nowhere, my policy renewal came up, and they claimed they had contacted me by email. I never received any email or notification.
One day, I received registered mail stating that I owed $7,430.27 for the full balance. When I called to cancel the policy, I was told I could not cancel and that I had to pay the full amount or it would go on my record. This felt completely unfair and unreasonable, especially since I was never properly informed.
The service was very unprofessional. Communication was poor, there was no clear explanation for why my rate increased so drastically, and there was no meaningful support when I tried to resolve the issue. Their claims process and customer service are disconnected, and calls did not feel valued or taken seriously.
Max Insurance seriously needs to revisit how they communicate with their clients if they want to maintain a customer base. Respect and transparency matter. Jacking up prices without explanation feels like taking advantage of customers.
My home insurance premium with MAX was on automatic renewal, and the premium went up 700% - from $1700 up to $11,000. After the first payment came out, none of the brokers nor MAX could tell me why, offer any information from their underwriters, nor could I speak to a principal broker or an Insurance manager. They kept giving me vague, condescending reasons about the premium increase, even though the dwelling value went up by 20k, and that's the only change from last year's policy. Kept talking about "the rates of the city that I live in", the rating change due to a body of water being more risky than last year, etc. I live in a quiet little neighbourhood and the only body of water close is the city canal lol. If my house backed onto the Pacific Ocean, my premium wouldn't even be 11 grand.
Get quotes from bigger banks or Intaact.
Bought a policy from them since it was the lowest premium. Paid for a year upfront. Had a water tank leak that was unrepairable and had water damage in the basement. They denied the claim stating that based on their "opinion" the water damage was "pre-existing". Typical of insurance companies nowadays to scam people. Whats the point of home insurance when nothing is covered? AVOID MAX INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS! NOT WORTH THE CHEAPER PREMIUM.
I had a major issue with my home and was displaced for over a month.
When the Insurance Adjuster, Naesha at Max called she was very polite and helpful. She advised me and let me know how my policy would work for me. She was professional from beginning to end.
