Mavis Tire - McDonough Reviews 

I had a low tire light come on and discovered a small screw in the tire. Stopped by the new McDonough store near Lake Dow. They appeared to not by that busy. Advised the very nice counter person my issue and in formed her that I was having a furniture delivery soon and that I was in somewhat of a hurry, and requested that the one tire simply be plugged, but asked if they patched, she said they did. She did not tell me that they only patched. Once they actually started on my vehicle, I noticed that all 4 wheels had been removed from my vehicle. When I spoke with, whom I assumed was the shop manager, about this, she simply stated that it was their policy to check everything. My vehicle is still new with less than 12,000 miles, but oh well.
The individual working on my vehicle, as all of the workers, moved at a snail’s pace. I noticed that the worker had broken down the tire with the screw and when I questioned it with the counter person, was when I learned that they only patch and don’t plug tires. It seemed like it took forever to complete. Once the worker completed the patch and moved to remount the tire on the rim, I noticed at that point, all the workers were standing around talking. When the worker moved to start remounting the tire, he stood there for a moment and did several bicep curls with my tire before rising to mount it back onto the rim. The worker moved just as slow rebalancing the tire.
By this point, I had been at the shop for over 2 hours, for a job that normally should take about 20 minutes.
I strongly voiced my frustration with the the counter person and the shop manager, as my delivery time was get very close and I still had a 15-20 minute drive home. My current time at the shop was over 2 1/2 hours.
The only actual shop manager apologized and told me that he would take care of my invoice, which based on the original price quoted was less than 35 dollars before tax. The manager admitted the worker should not have been “working out” with my tire. I got no response as to the slowness of all the workers. The manager did offer a future discount, but I’ll never go back to this Mavis shop. My final comment. I asked that all four tire have the tire pressure to be inflated to 36 psi. After pulling away, I checked the tire pressure via the vehicles display. Drive front was at 34 psi. Both passenger side were at 35 psi. The repaired tire was at 38 psi. I’ll correct the psi myself once home. 👎 for this Mavis Tire store.

I recently visited Mavis Tire & Brake and had the pleasure of working with Jackie Nelson. Jackie was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure I understood everything that was going on with my vehicle. She provided excellent customer service and kept me updated throughout the entire process. The service was quick, professional, and stress-free. It’s always nice to work with someone who truly cares about the customer experience. I highly recommend this location and appreciate Jackie Nelson for her outstanding service.

The service, people and price are always awesome!

I absolutely love the staff at this location. The manager Tyler has outstanding customer service skills and he trains his team to follow his lead. They gave me everything I needed plus more!!! I really felt that my needs mattered and that all was handled in the most professional manner. I will certainly visit this location again for any future needs.

I had to stay longer than what the manager said and also they couldn't straighten out the will. I'm in then I took it to another store and a did something where my car won't start. No, no more. Will I go to these places?

Amazing service, the only place I take my vehicle. Fast service and great customer service.

It took about 30 minutes for them to check everything and add my new tire. Great customer service and kind employees.

The staff and the urgency. I express my concern for time. They made sure I was in and out by time my lunch break was up. I really appreciate the assistant managers Nequavius and Lareeka for being so caring and understanding. Thanks I will definitely be recommending this location to friends and family.

Company is great fast services

I had an early morning appointment, arrived 30 minutes early and waited 3.5 hours to get have my tires changed. Save yourself the stress and go anywhere else for tires or oil changes.

Came in for oil change. After being told an hour and a half for the wait they came back 45 minutes later with suggestions totaling past $600. I agreed to the the terms and was told my vehicle would be ready at 12pm. Its 1:26pm and I was told another 30 minutes. Every encounter with staff I had to personally engage them because they apparently didnt notice someone standing in front of them. Then was told my phone provider was bad because they called my number. which is untrue.

I was greeted pleasantly upon entering the store. The manager Johhny Williams was great. The store was clean it was a nice environment.
