Terrible Service

All,

Stay away from Maver poles

I brought a brand new Elite 10mtr maver pole from Total Fishing Tackle it was delivered on Wednesday I went fishing on the Saturday and after 5 fish the top number one section snapped.
Maver have said it was my fault and put to much pressure on the pole and it was the elastic that made the pole snap. The elastic was not stretched out as the fish was about 4lb. Maver have said that they would t replace the number one section as they said there was nothing wrong the way the pole was made.

See below that I found

Since your brand-new fishing pole broke the first time you used it, you have strong consumer rights to request a full refund. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. A brand-new fishing pole breaking on its first use would not meet this standard.
Your right to a refund depends on how soon after purchase you return the item.
Within 30 days of purchase
If you return the faulty fishing pole to the retailer within 30 days of buying it, you have the "short-term right to reject" the goods and are entitled to a full refund. This is the quickest and easiest path to getting all your money back.
After 30 days, but within six months
If more than 30 days have passed, you must allow the retailer one attempt to repair or replace the item. For faults occurring within six months, the law presumes the product was defective when sold, and the retailer must prove otherwise. If the repair or replacement fails, or isn't possible, you are then entitled to a full refund.

I tried their loaded wagglers which…

I tried their loaded wagglers which were rubbish and then tried their 3AAA unloaded wagglers. Much the same result, float tip barely showing, which is useless as you use it as a distance waggler. I have purchased their tackle in the past and no problems. So up your game Maver.
