Horrible.

Horrible. It absolutely will not let you go past a question when you get it wrong and when you don't understand a concept you get a 20 minute after school detention and I would say that the detention is less time consuming than the homework itself. The homework is very stressful and I just can't do it all in one go. I am just stuck on this question at 23:41 the day before the deadline just wanting to go to bed, but I can't. The numberpad on a touchscreen is really terrible and I constantly press the wrong button and get the question wrong. The games were removed as well which stripped all fun from the platform and the questions aren't even GCSE style. Go back to paper homework.

SPARX MATHS MUST BE TAKEN DOWN

If you get ONE QUESTION wrong and dont complete it by the due date you get a detention until you finish it, no matter if you actually can do it or not. Extremely boring. Sucks the life out of maths if it had any to begin with. They're basically asking to make students use ai. And when we do? Detention, a lecture or worse wether you like it or not. It never gives you a sense that a school is actually trying to help you learn or co-operate with you in the slightest. Im sitting at 2-3am every Wednesday because I cant do the homework. And teachers have the audacity to say "just get more sleep" I cant think of a single positive about sparx

2 hours of tears, blood, sweat and rage.

Honestly, this is one of the apps where just simply taking in detentions like a chad is just more helpful then doing Sparx Maths on its own.

Sparx expects you to do 100% of your homework, no exceptions, no excuses, just do it or detention. Some questions aren't even possible, and some others are extremely difficult, and the support videos are literally unsupportive. The people "helping" you in support videos are really groggy most of the time.

Actually had a passion for maths, and it just single-handedly killed it. Thank you Sparx for that.

As someone who’s been forced to do homework on this utterly sht platform, I can confirm that it is akin to torture. The 100% completion , bookwork checks its something that I think Htler and B*n laden would be forced to do in the depths of h*ll . Before this I wanted to be an engineer, but now I don’t want to go near engineering simply because I’ll be forced to do more sparxs maths.

Misery

It is genuinely painful to do. The bookwork checks are ridiculous why does me writing it down affect what I learn. Not only that but the videos are so patronising and half the time doesn’t even match up with the question. Then ontop that if you don’t get 100% completion then you don’t even get a mark for doing it. It genuinely killed off any joy maths brings. It’s hard, monotonous and soul destroying. If your a teacher please reconsider setting this as homework.

Sparx Maths is honestly one of the most…

Sparx Maths is honestly one of the most frustrating things I’ve ever had to use. It somehow manages to make even simple maths feel confusing and annoying. The questions drag on forever, and if you get one tiny thing wrong, you’re stuck redoing it over and over again.

The layout isn’t great either—it feels clunky and slow, and half the time it’s not even clear what you’re supposed to do. Instead of helping you learn, it just makes everything more stressful.

Homework takes way longer than it should, and it doesn’t feel rewarding at all. It’s like it’s designed to waste your time rather than actually teach you.

Loads of people are getting fed up with it, and honestly I can see why. If you’re thinking of using Sparx Maths… just don’t. There are way better ways to learn maths that won’t make you want to give up halfway through.

this website is getting put on my suicide note.

if i could I WOULD rate it a zero. This website is genuinly the worst thing to ever exist, first of all. You HAVE to get 100% or else you can't complete the homework which is absolutely VILE. The fact this website expects us to get every single question right with no mistake?? And it doesn't even tell you the answer btw. It just forces you to keep on guessing untill it actually drives you insane. Second of all, the book work checks. I have a friend who is dyslexic but a very good student and they always try hard at their home work. But guess what? because of these fuckass bookwork check she can never fully complete them because she struggles with it. So sparx math actually doesn't care about the people that suffer with learning disabilities, they only care about the revwies and money. Sparx MATH has ruined my love for math and honestly? If teenagers are creating chrome extentions to solve the sparx answers and even making full on BUSINESSES just from completing other people's sparx homework, mabye the problem isn't the teenagers- but the website itself.

Fúċķ sparx maths

I’ve done sparx maths for 4 years now and it has been a shit take. The videos don’t help as they sound like they haven’t slept in 50 years and sometimes not relating to the question. The requirement of having 100% of the homework complete and not telling you the answer after having making a mistake on the question leads to staying stuck on a question for hours on end or not completing the homework in general.

Do not let your child near this

It always wants you to 100% ALL of your homework and each time you do well it wants you do do (fun) and (engaging) minigames inside of a maths app Fun right. Not the end The greedy corporates would love for you to do extra painful tedious bits. I have had to do sparx maths for 2 school years now and its not suprised that i have completely ignored it but it also killed off any like i had for any form of maths

A storming, pointless anarchic rush to kidney stones: SPARX! Yep, that’s what it stands for.

Sparx maths is a monstrosity of evil. I was solving one of the last histograms questions in my Sparx homework and I couldn't solve it. It takes you through a tormenting loop of the same questions after 3 tries of getting one question wrong, and even when the change the questions, it’s just the color change. So I watched the video, and it was showing a method I understood but when I tried it on my question IT WAS WRONG. At this point they are making their own ways to solve the questions that NEVER EXISTED.

The people explaining the questions sound so delusional and distracting and you can’t focus on the question but their irritable voices that sound like an untuned guitar which a child played around with. No bullying here, it’s just not helping us students understand the concepts. They go like EiGhT pluS FIve eqUalS ThIrteEN!

I then asked my dad to help me, and he took 2 hours from 9 PM to 1130 PM to solve it. He was showing a different method with just one part of the video being used in his method, and he got it right. At this point, I find my parents a life saver when it comes to Sparx.

I even used every Al source I know to solve it, they couldn't do it either. I took a pic from the video at the end and showed it to Al for reference, they couldn't solve it. And on top of that, they reward students for getting the most xp points when while spending ages doing homework will only give you 50xp.

Teachers then throw detentions to students for not getting 100% in your recent maths homework- they are being told a lie that Sparx is a trusty website with all these ‘unique’ features. Well, no they’re just features that already exist but NO APP USES IT.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love maths, and I am pretty good at it my grades can tell you otherwise. However, this website has been making my confidence in this on subject go downhill- it makes my eyes lethargic and I experience late nights and late mornings- only because I DON’T WANT TO BE IN DETENTION.

And that histogram question honestly is just one out of 50 or whatever marks GCSE math paper is out of. They’re not even real exam style questions- this website isn’t realistic. I nearly cried in that question!

Sparx, I hope you see this and understand that your making a large group of students HATE maths. So something NOW!

Terrible homework app

I have to complete a full 100% or I get a 2 hour long PM. EVERY WEEK. It’s just completely ai generated, if I get like 5 questions right in a row it gives me incredibly difficult questions next time. I’m in key stage, I don’t want to work out the circumference of the sun (actual question one of my classmates got) the book work checks don’t do anything, they just inconvenience me, I haven’t reached it yet, but I don’t want to waste my time doing times tables when I’m year 11. That’s just stupid. It’s repetitive. I love maths! It’s my 2nd favourite subject! I don’t like sparx maths.

Cancerous and tumerous.

I would rate it at -∞ if that was an option. The term "Sparx Maths Bookwork checks" is a synonym for pain, torment, and suffering. The term "Sparx Maths Help Video" is also a synonym for "you deserve to suffer", and the 100% completion requirement alongside the inability to see the answer is what makes it cancerous. On, and it doesn't stop there. When you somehow manage to navigate your way through what's worse than hell, you are "rewarded" with harder homework next week. In addition, you will also get more questions.

DO NOT USE...☠️

sparx maths is literally the worst thing ever made like actually who thought this was a good idea 😭 every time i open it i lose braincells. it takes FOREVER just to do like 5 questions and if you get one tiny thing wrong it makes you do the whole thing again like WHAT????

also why are the questions so confusing for no reason, like im just trying to do my homework not solve some secret code 💀 and the videos dont even help they just make it more confusing

and dont even get me started on the time it takes… i swear i’ve been on it for 3 hours and im still not done like i have a LIFE bro

0/10 would not recommend, this app is actually evil and whoever made it needs to chill because I mean it is a waste of time. Also I'm pretty sure it was made by a child hating teacher because honestly I don't have any brain cells left because of this app. IT'S A TORTURE DEVICE USED FOR CHILD ABUSE!

I HATE SPARX I HATE IT I HATE IT

Sparx is horrible, it forces kids to complete their homework with 100% accuracy which is extremely stressing and pressurising. In sparx they imply that not being perfect is never good enough even with 99%. Sparx is killing kids freedom and motivation. If a child manages to complete a minimum of a year of sparx without at least 57 crash outs I genuinely believe they are a saint. Sparx should be banned it is very mean and the "help videos" ARE USELESSSSSSS. The voices sound so dull and don't explain anything in a way which is helpful. ITS HORRIBLE. SPARX IS HORRIBLE. I MISS MY SANITY

NEVER again...

Probably one of THE WORST homework programs to ever exist, it even has its own definition:
Sparx Maths
The worst form of torture known to man.
And that really is dissapointing.
The point of this is to get to 100% completion, which ruins every single point of making mistakes. Since when did small maths mistakes lead to full out detentions?
BRING BACK HEGARTHY MATHS

thanks
