The game was easy to set up and play. I love that the games are themed. I went with the western saloon game and made it a western themed dinner party! My only negative is that I wish the game relied more on the clues and evidence rather than the very subtle changes in character script.

We have bought 2 games through Master of Mystery. Both times, everyone had a blast. 1st party was 18 people, second was 8. You can dive in as much as you want with the theme, or as little as you want. No matter what, everyone leaves having had a great time. We will be doing more.

Master of Mystery offer a good product and were very helpful and fast responding some special requests I had to play the game and solve the mystery.

Fun and Easy!
We got this kit as a theme for my daughter's going away party. It was a huge hit! Not only was it fun, but our guests really got into character! What a great set of memories we had!

Masters of Mystery games never disappoint! We had so much fun playing Dead Men Drink No Rum. There are so many characters and so many motives that I know we will be replaying this one!

We all had such a fun time! I just wish there was more one on one communicating and it kind of seems like a guessing game trying to figure out the murderer because it’s different everytime.

The game was so well thought-out. The materials provided led to a seamless game for all involved, and the entire party had a great time. The character profiles/costume suggestions made it easy for each player to design their costume and play along. The voice acting for the speeches was incredible. Overall, we had a great night and I will definitely be playing again.

This game was so fun, and I love the random murderer drawing since it enabled me as the host to really be a part of the story. The game dynamics were fun, there were great twists and turns, and I love that I could play this game again in a few years and get something totally new out of it. Highly recommend!

The game was played on the move with a group of ladies on a bachelorette party. A ton of fun was had.

The instructions were clear and easy to understand, all the characters were hilarious and amazing! We are already planning our next murder mystery dinner this summer.

We found it helpful to also send out the first sheet in the character guides to everyone once their character was assigned. This helped us prepare better for the characters and everyone dived in!

We decided to use Masterofmystery.com for our daughter’s mystery birthday party. We chose the KIDS MURDER MYSTERY GAME KIT - MYSTERY OF THE MAGIC PENCIL option and really enjoyed it. The scripts were easy to follow and the game was well thought out. The website is easy to use and order. The documents sent by email or easy to access and contained everything needed for a great party. I would recommend grabbing a mystery party from them 100%

Amazing game, great fun !!

We had a blast! It was our first time doing a family mystery theater. It gave explicit character instructions that were easy to follow. And I loved the digital component. We had the scenes interspersed between meal courses that complimented the setting. No one guessed the murderer! There were plenty of character options to select from and their development to the storyline was well planned. I would certainly recommend Masters of Mystery and plan to make it an annual family get together.

The game was engaging and fun to play, simple instructions that were easy to understand kept the game moving forward. The character guide and dress up suggestions add to the game play by making it immersive for the whole group.

We recently played Masters of Mystery: The Great Bake Down (very clearly inspired by Bake Off!) and honestly, it was such a fun experience.

The setup was surprisingly simple — no complicated prep or faffing about. Once we got going, everyone picked up the rules really quickly without constantly needing to refer back to instructions, which made the whole thing flow really naturally.

What I especially loved was that even as the host, I didn’t feel left out. I could fully join in and play along with everyone else, which made it much more enjoyable and inclusive compared to other games where the host just manages everything.

Overall, it’s a really well-designed game that’s easy to run, easy to understand, and genuinely entertaining. Perfect for a group night if you want something a bit different without the stress.

Great experience! Only issue was how to organise and understand how the precase is important prior to start. It was our first time experience and ready for the next one.
