Masterschool has excellent and dedicated instructors and career coaches who will support you in launching your tech career. I started with no technical knowledge or background, but after six months of studying, I've already acquired the technical skills in the Python programming language, a professional resume, and a professional LinkedIn profile.
I’m really happy I chose to study full-stack software development at Master School. From the very beginning, it felt like the right decision. The entire experience has been thoughtfully designed and well-organized for a digital learning environment, yet it never feels impersonal — quite the opposite.
What stood out most for me is the human element: although the program is online, you always have real people to connect with. One of the highlights was the support from the Academic Success Manager (ASM). Coming from a very communicative career background, having someone to talk to regularly about progress, challenges, and next steps made all the difference. It gave me both clarity and confidence throughout the journey.
The curriculum itself is strong and the sessions go deep into the practical aspects of learning to code. But what impressed me even more was the career preparation. Beyond technical skills, Master School helps you prepare for real-life interviews, polish your personal presentation, and build confidence through mock interviews. In my case, this part was incredibly well executed and gave me a strong foundation to move forward professionally.
All in all, I felt guided, supported, and equipped — both personally and professionally. For anyone looking for a serious and human-centered online education in tech, I can truly recommend Master School.
The people there really help you and do their best to get you a spot in the program. It is really organized and you can just ask questions whenever you want to your private contact person.
I think it's an individual thing, my trainer Eden has time for me and she makes time for me to do an excellent work
I had a nice and smooth experience communicating with Jason Cooper. I liked his professional and considerate approach a lot.
Demanding program with potential, but not for everyone
I completed the 7-month Cyber Security program at Masterschool. My overall impression is positive, but I’d like to honestly share my experience - this program is definitely not for everyone.
If you already have some IT experience, this course can be a great way to transition into cybersecurity. However, if you're starting completely from scratch, the reality is that after 7 months of intensive learning, it's very difficult to land a job as a Cyber Security Analyst. The program provides solid fundamentals, but anyone with no prior IT background needs to be prepared for a massive amount of self-study.
In my case, I was studying 8–10 hours a day to fill in the gaps and reach my goal. Eventually, I succeeded - I signed a contract as a Junior System / Network Admin (Fachinformatiker). It’s not a cybersecurity role (yet), but it’s a solid step in the right direction. Without this program, I wouldn't have had any chance to break into IT, and for that, I’m truly grateful.
🔍 Some constructive feedback:
There should be a selection process for applicants - currently, the student group is very mixed in terms of skill level and experience.
The program lacks solid networking fundamentals - in my opinion, CompTIA Network+ should be mandatory before CompTIA Security+. Instead, we had the Google IT Support course from Coursera, which unfortunately isn’t well recognized on the job market.
The program’s length (7 months) is simply not enough to comprehensively cover everything - hands-on practice is very limited due to time constraints.
✅ On the positive side:
The community - I met amazing people and built friendships that are still going strong.
My mentor - Weekly meetings with my mentor provided real motivation and support throughout the program.
Career support - Help with CV writing, interview prep, and job applications was very professional and well-structured.
🌟 I especially want to highlight the value of the paid internship at Webeet, which was offered at the end of the program.
That internship was a real gem - it gave students the chance to build practical, real-world skills in a real company environment. For someone who completed only a 7-month bootcamp, hands-on practice is absolutely essential to become employable.
Without that internship, it will be extremely difficult for many students to land their first cybersecurity job. It's a huge disadvantage that this internship program has now been discontinued - in my view, that’s a significant loss for future students.
👏 And I absolutely must mention Craig Taylor, who was our Head of Security during the internship.
Craig is someone with incredible knowledge, deep experience, and an outstanding approach to teaching. He was able to explain complex topics in a clear and approachable way, and he created an environment where students genuinely wanted to grow and learn. Thanks to him, the internship was not only valuable, but also dynamic and truly professional - I’m very grateful for that.
🧩 Final thoughts:
If you treat this course as a starting point, are ready for daily hard work, and understand that success won’t come automatically, then Masterschool can be a great stepping stone. But if you're starting from zero, don’t expect miracles after just 7 months. This program has potential, but without practical experience and a solid technical foundation, the journey will be very steep.

An Intensive, Supportive, and Truly Life-Changing Experience
My journey with Masterschool’s Software Engineering program has been nothing short of amazing. From the very first live lesson, I knew I had joined something special. The structure, content, and personal support exceeded all expectations.
Live Lessons & Group Coding
The live classes were engaging, well-paced, and taught by instructors who truly cared about our learning. Working on group coding challenges helped me solidify my understanding and learn how to collaborate effectively—just like in a real tech team.
Hackathons & Projects
The regular hackathons and hands-on projects were intense but incredibly rewarding. I learned to solve problems under pressure, apply what I had learned in practical ways, and build a strong portfolio.
Mentorship & 1-to-1 Tutoring
The mentoring was very short at first. The mentor I had been assigned, often just gave me a youtube link I should watch, or even just not answer for several days. I was unhappy with this and the director assigned me to a new mentor. Also I had access to a personal 1-to-1 tutor who provided guidance, answered all my questions, and helped me stay motivated.
Curriculum & Topics
The curriculum is current, relevant, and well-balanced between theory and practice. We covered everything from Python and JavaScript to backend development, APIs, databases, and deployment. It’s clear that Masterschool puts a lot of thought into what they teach.
Career Support & CV Building
Masterschool didn't just teach me to code—they helped me become job-ready. With the help of a dedicated Career Success Advisor, I built a professional CV, practiced interview skills, and gained the confidence to navigate the tech job market.
Job Search Help
The job search support was personal and practical. I received tailored advice and guidance throughout my application process, which ultimately helped me land my first role in tech!
If you’re looking for a serious, supportive, and practical bootcamp that gives you real skills and real results -> Masterschool is the place to be.
Joining was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career. I gained knowledge, as well as self-confidence!
Choosing Masterschool was undoubtedly the best decision I could have made. Thanks to the fantastic support from the Masterschool team, I have made tremendous progress on my coding journey. From taking my very first steps in programming to building my own application, I was guided every step of the way with expertise and encouragement.
What I especially appreciate is that you are in control of your own journey—your progress depends on your own dedication and effort. However, whenever I encountered challenges or obstacles, I always felt supported by the Masterschool community. Their invaluable assistance, whether it was technical help or advice on building my CV and optimizing my LinkedIn profile, made a significant difference during the hiring process.
Overall, my experience with Masterschool has been absolutely outstanding, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to start or advance their career in tech.
Not for everyone but need to admit i learned a lot. And i was able to land a pretty food job.
This company helps you to get a new job, new job orientation and offering the teaching tools and courses as a whole programm to reach that new goals in job life.
Especially the personal help of their workers - in my case Shaheen Wacker - to prepare you for the interviews with Jobcenter / Arbeitsamt, to prepare your CV material at all and to improve your skills to convince in your new job were excellent.
Prompt and helpful whenever there was something needed. Whether an info or a document. It felt like the interaction was personal.
I have received great support from Antje Hildebrandt, a career consultant. She guided me step by step in becoming a participant in the course. Although I am still in the process, her support has kept me motivated to take part in it.
Very professional, very helpful, if everything in this school is on this level,
It is indeed Master school.
Before joining Masterschool, I had already begun pivoting my career from Market Research Analyst to Data Analyst/Scientist through self-study. What I lacked was confidence, self-esteem, and enough practice with the technical knowledge I already had. Masterschool helped me exactly with that.
I gained more practice, experience, and confidence. Being part of a group with shared goals helped me feel less alone, and direct contact with industry experts gave me real insight into the role. Technically, Masterschool did a good job, and I personally think they could do even better if they raised their standards in delivering the material. I believe they can become a leader in the industry.
Career advisors and support were the best parts. They were consistently helpful, truly listened, and gave guidance that made a real difference. They understood my challenges and helped me improve.
Overall, Masterschool’s support kept me focused and confident. For a successful career change, technical skills are important — but so is believing in yourself. When the interviewer can sense that confidence, it makes a real difference. Masterschool helped me rebuild that belief.
Milo never gave up on me throughout the almost a year of trying to get funding for this course. Always helpful and available with advice and resources to get me to the finish line.
She always kept me informed and responded quickly when I needed help. and she is clear, professional, very friendly and easy to work with.
I had most contacs with Jason. Highly professional, ready to help and search for a custom fit solutions ("one size fits all" doesn't always work).
