for the price the service is ridiculous. I paid for 3 years, used it twice, and they wont sent you a reminder of the automatic renewal, and then just book nearly 200 bucks,.. in my opinion its fraud. Would not recommend..

I am writing this as a warning: Do not fall for the MasterClass discount "trap."
On January 9th, 2026, I signed up for a MasterClass offer advertised at ₹500/month (billed annually). Instead of applying the discount, they charged my credit card the full, non-discounted price immediately.
When I contacted support that same day to rectify the error, they simply cancelled my subscription and claimed a full refund was processed. That was 20 days ago. Since then, I have been stuck in an endless cycle of finger-pointing:
MasterClass claims the refund is done but refuses to provide a Transaction Reference Number (ARN/RRN), telling me to "check with my bank."
The Payment Platform (LINK) says they don't have the reference number because they are "just the platform" and told me to ask the business.
My Bank (rightfully) cannot track or dispute the missing funds without a valid transaction reference number.
I am currently out of my money with no subscription and no proof from MasterClass that they have actually returned the funds. Their customer service is polite but completely unhelpful, leaving me to do the detective work for a mistake they made.
Avoid this platform unless you want to spend weeks chasing your own money.

Horrible - cannot even cancel it. Their AI support system is completely useless. Spent way too much time on this. The ROI is not worth it. They said my subscription is cancelled and non-renewable yet they charged my card 3 times and are sending "notice" reminders. Cannot cancel on their website at all. What kind of platform doesn't allow users to cancel their subscription and wastes their time with searching for support???

If I could give no stars I would. Purchased a subscription in 2023 and have been charged without my consent in 2025. I am currently on the phone trying to get my money back after exchanging emails for the last month. Such frustration and disservice;would NEVER recommend this company, seems they could benefit from a class in basic customer service and customer satisfaction.

I bought the membership for my dad and sent it to him. When he clicked the link, they asked for his credit card number, I had already bought him a year's subscription so there is no need.
We decided there was no need for this and I could ask for a refund in 30 days and I asked for a refund the day after buying it. I keep on emailing them but they keep on giving me the run around and they are supposed to reply within 5-10 days but they don't.
They also keep on asking for my debit card details which is highly suspicious and unnecessary.
I have started to email their advertisers to inform them that they are scamming people and using their name to promote this scam and I send them proof of this as well.
Please do not buy this, save yourself the heartache.

In a masterclass, you learn from the best in each subject; for me, one masterclass is worth more than several courses!

OK, so I didn't get to take advantage of Masterclass, but this was primarily due to me not making time for it. I signed up with knowledge that there was a 30-day money back guarantee. Anyway, I decided that I wasn't going to use it, so I cancelled within the 30-days.
I read some of the negative comments on here regarding getting a refund but I have to say it was the easiest thing ever!
I emailed their support email address, got a reply instantly from an AI Generated email and though to myself that this is going to be painful.. The AI email asked me to send them a code (which they'd also sent me at the same time) in order to validate my account. I emailed back the code thinking that this would be the start of a back and forth with an AI support service.
Not so! Within a few minutes of responding with my code I got a notification from my bank saying Masterclass has processed a refund which would be available in my account in a few days!
Literally the easiest processes possible.
So, while I can't comment on the actual content - the support service, in my limited interaction, was flawless. I suppose this is the thing with AI - if what you need fits into the processes and services it can provide then it is a great time saver, otherwise it can be painful.

I cancelled my Masterclass subscription by logging into their website. It still autorenewed and charged me for another year. I am now trying to recover this, but so far have only managed to deal with AI-generated emails and not a person.
The reply from master class below is meaningless and not at all helpful. I have already submitted tickets through the email address given and they have continued to refuse to refund me despite the fact I cancelled my subscription well in advance.
Do not sign up to this company.

Hello Team,
Initially, I had difficulty receiving a response via email. However, after contacting you through Facebook, the issue was resolved, and I was no longer charged and was reimbursed. I appreciate that this was addressed.
That said, I do feel it is a bit unfair to be charged full price while discounts are being offered at the same time. I believe it would be more reasonable to extend promotional pricing to existing customers as well.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,
Yvonne

I bought an intro class one year ago. I did not use it. I had no idea it renewed annually until I saw a large purchase that I did not authorize on my credit card. I sent an email requesting a refund. They told me no because it renewed automatically and offered a 50 percent refund. This is clearly a shady company and people should avoid purchasing.

The customer service is garbage. I was gifted a subscription, but when I clicked on ‘redeem’ it took me to a 404 error page. The AI chat bot could not help me, email support was a frustrating loop, and phone support was unhelpful. I have had MasterClass in the past and enjoyed it, but the support is a joke. I think they could do much better, but have leaned too far into AI where the negative experience outweighs any positives.

Update 3. No refund from Masterclass. My credit card company issued a charge back. Don’t due business with masterclass. They lie and intentionally true and defraud.
Update 2: Masterclas has updated their response to say they are resolving our issue. This is not true. We have still not issued a refund after over a half dozen contacts with them. I was told Saturday they would reach out to me within a few minutes. Two days later still no response. We are proceeding with a credit card fraud charge back. Terrible company. Wastes time trying to leave the perception of being helpful, when they have done nothing to fix the fraudulent charge.
Update: Masterclass are quick to respond on Trustpilot but would not respond to chat or multiple emails to remove the charge several days ago. I have emailed support@masterclass.
3x since Tuesday (three days ago) with no response as Masterclass instructed in their response below. Saying I should email you and you will remove the charge is laughable, because you don’t remove the charge- you ignore the emails and pretend to be helping the customers.
I still have not been refunded. It appears Masterclass is a scam and they do this to all customers. I have filed a complaint with my credit card’s fraud department. It seems that Masterclass abuse customers repeatedly and then use boiler plate responses to pretend they care on the Trustpilot website. Where is my refund for the fraudulent charge?
We signed up for a one year subscription with no renewal and as a result opted not to save our credit card details with Masterclass. A year later Masterclass charge the card that was not supposed to be kept on file and auto-renewed an account that was not supposed to auto-renew.
I contacted Masterclass via chat and email. I was promised the issue would be resolved in 24-48 hours. The issue was never resolved and a few days later the charge has now hit my credit credit.
Do yourself a favor don’t waste your time and money with Masterclass. The programming is shockingly bad and the customer service surprisingly worse.:

Nothing on this site is worth watching. Nothing. Just people superficially yapping about certain topics.
If you are within 30 days of purchase you can refund. They hide the fast way to refund, make chat with AI and then wait for costumer support to approve.
I found the way to instantly receive a refund from a reddit post. Just add "/refund" to the website url and click "refund now." Just flat out wrong for them to hide this.

Amazing service, plenty of classes from different subjects to watch and learn with from the best known people from the area. You can have an account only for yourself or even you have the option to share it with your family or friend group. It's only missing the option of two profiles, you and your loved one or best friend or something similar instead of having to choose only individual or family pack.
Nidhi is an awesome customer support Staff.

Auto renewals are impossible to turn off. DO NOT use this service.

Cancelled my subscription but still charged a year later. Impossible to get a refund and on top of that they say they cannot find my account. So I have been debited £168 after cancelling the auto renewal and don’t even have access to Masterclass. Awful and unprofessional which is a shame because the idea is good but the support/admin/billing is as bad as it gets.

They charged me $180 out of the blue. I gifted a membership years ago. I don’t have an active subscription and I do not have auto renew on.

I have had Masterclass in the past and liked it. I let my subscription lapse, so my wife bought me a gift subscription. However, I never got the email (or if I did, it went to spam and was auto-deleted). My wife and I have been trying for a week to get this fixed. The customer support team first told us to go look in old emails. When that didn't work, they sent a new link, which also didn't work. We then sent another email, and they replied wanting an affirmation of terms of service and then they would put the subscription on my wife's account (?? - should be my account). We responded to that, and have heard crickets. Really frustrating that it's this hard to get a subscription that's already been paid.

I purchased a subscription for Master Class for a friend at Christmastime. She was unable to get onto the site, so she went through Roku and ended up being double billed for her subscription. After two separate days of phone calls and almost two hours on the phone, along with sending requested screen shots of the charges, Master Class refused to refund either of the subscriptions. It was a very difficult ordeal and I will never order Master Class again. The classes are good, but the company, in my opinion, was very customer "unfriendly". I will not waste any more of my time on this service.

UPDATE: after several emails with their AI, I received no satisfaction from MasterClass. They responded that they cannot find my account... ORIGINAL REVIEW: I found no content of interest. I object to the automatic subscription charge with no prior notice. A TOTAL SCAM!!!
