Prompt, professional and reasonably priced service.

The engineer was able to ascertain the problem with my boiler and fix it there and then. I was delighted with how quick, efficient and knowledgable the engineer was. It was a relief to have constant contact and updates with the office to book the appointment. Highly recommend Marvel.

Sadly I had a dreadful experience with this company. They have taken a lot of money out of me for not doing the job properly and still sending me statements when I have already paid months later. I was sent a threatening email when I dared to complain.The facts are they destroyed the boiler and I had to have a new boiler from another company. If the engineers had realised the problem it would have been a simple repair. There was not enough gas from the meter going through to the boiler. The gas co come for no charge and fixed it. But sadly the boiler was destroyed by incompetent engineers one who was sacked for inappropriate behaviour by taking money from me under false pretences. That was never refunded by the company. I will never use this company again and never recommend.

Once again Marvel did a marvellous job for me at short notice when I was desperate to have a new gas cooker I'd bought elsewhere fitted. Aware I was very anxious to be out of my house to a tight time scale for a rare chance to meet friends met at university 61 years ago, they got someone to me sooner than they had thought possible. As on a previous job they did for me they sent another lovely young man, courteous, efficient, caring and helpful. He had to work in a tight space and perform some gymnastics but he managed everything without fuss or bother and talked me through and showed me how everything worked. He kindly manoeuvred my old cooker to the doorstep to be collected by the Council. It was a superb job at a very fair price and all my dealings with the staff in booking, in paying, as well as with the engineer were straightforward and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation, just as a neighbour recommended them to me.

We have used Marvel on 2 occasions now to rectify various plumbing issues. The staff are friendly and knowldegable. Work was completed with minimum distruption and quickly. Very good and honest service.

A person from Marvel visited my property to address two separate issues but left after 15 minutes without addressing either, even though I had described the issues using photo references in a previous email. This in itself was not worrying, however a week later I was billed for a full hour of investigation without ever receiving a response from the company or any recommendations on how to resolve the issues. I did not receive a summary of the investigation either, just a note to hire a separate contractor. Additionally the invoice demanded paying the full amount in less than a day. I tried emailing them to get a response with the above issue yet I only received an automated email with a 'Pay Now' button. I found this behaviour very unprofessional. I will pay the invoice but I obviously do not recommend this service.

We just had a Vaillant boiler installed and gas engineer Scott and the Marvel team did a great job. Friendly and professional and a grand less than British Gas!

Marvel’s engineer, Alan, came to service my boiler and offered to take off his boots, which I appreciated. He was knowledgable and thorough, and patiently answered all my questions in detail. He was very pleasant to have in the house.

I have now seen two of Marvel’s heating engineers in action (one at a friend’s house) and am very impressed by the high standard of their work. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing/heating work.

As the company director of a medium sized building company I find it a relief to have such a competant and reliable plumbing company that I can subcontract the plumbing aspects of our builds to.

Really great service. Very efficient, nice guy came round to do a gas certification and service the bolier. He knew everything about my system (I'd thought it was so super new and sophisticated that he may not!). Lovely to get a discount for being a 1st time user. Would & have already recommended :)
