I went to a tasting menu event hosted by Mark Weeks and honestly, it was the best meal out I’ve ever had.

Every dish was spot on, the atmosphere was lovely, and the menu had so much choice. The beef was the best I’ve ever tasted, and our waitress was so warm, welcoming and kind. Best meal out I’ve ever had.

It was also really reasonably priced, which made the whole evening feel even more special.

Couldn’t fault it — absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

We used Mark to cater for a joint 60th celebration yesterday and I must say from initially contacting him to him arriving to cater for 18 of us he was a pleasure to deal with . Offering great menu choices and adding additional options as required . His food was amazing and everyone at the meal agreed . His waiting team were also great and the kitchen was clean and tidy and all packed away within an hr of us being served desserts . Would highly recommended for any occasion

For my Mum's 80th Birthday, we wanted a special dinner and needed a private chef. A friend of ours, who had previously hired Mark twice, recommended him, and I'm so glad they did. Mark truly created an unforgettable evening for our family. From the start, his communication was professional yet warm and welcoming. He easily accommodated my Dad's celiac needs along with other dietary preferences in our party of 13.On the day, Mark and his delightful wife arrived exactly as promised. She was fantastic at ensuring the food and wine were served seamlessly throughout. The dishes were divine! Mark's culinary skills are exceptional, and each course was a delight. His wife’s attentive service made the evening even more enjoyable. Together, they formed a remarkable team.The food was flawless (and I'm quite particular!), easily deserving a perfect score in every aspect—from taste and quality to the dedication shown by both Mark and Laura in making our evening exceptional.Before leaving, they left the kitchen in pristine condition, you wouldn’t have known they were there!A massive thank you to both for creating a perfect night filled with wonderful memories for my Mum.I wholeheartedly recommend Mark. If you have a special occasion (or even if you need an excuse to celebrate), don't hesitate to book him—you won't be disappointed!

Mark Weeks should be at the top of anybody's list when looking for a private chef. We enjoyed a 3 course meal plus canapés for 17 people at a 60th party celebration for my wife.

The whole experience was exceptional from the initial enquiry through to the evening itself, Mark's communications were brilliant.

The food was fabulous, served by waiting staff who went above and beyond including clearing up the mess of our pre dinner drinks. The whole place was spotless when they left.

We've used a few private chefs over the years and Mark was the best we've come across by a sizeable margin.

Through a recommendation from a friend who had hired him twice, we found Mark, and he truly turned our evening into an unforgettable experience. From the beginning, his communication was both professional and inviting. He accommodated my dad’s celiac needs and other dietary preferences in our party of 13 effortlessly. On the event day, Mark confirmed his arrival and showed up exactly on time, accompanied by his charming wife, who was instrumental in serving food and wine throughout the evening. The dishes were simply outstanding—Mark's culinary skills are remarkable. Every course left us in awe, and his wife made sure we had everything we needed. Together, they made an exceptional team, and it was delightful to have them with us.As someone who is quite particular about food, I give them a perfect 10/10, from the remarkable flavors to their dedication in making our evening extraordinary. I decided to hire a private chef for my 70th birthday celebrations in Suffolk. Mark created a very interesting buffet menu for 17 guests with dietary requirements. The canapés were beautifully presented with imagination flare and attention to detail and his menus offered something different. The guests particularly loved the very tasty Wild Mushroom Arancini balls.
Coronation Chicken which was my choice brought back many child hood memories. Mark was professional very accommodating flexible and was always there to advise when needed. He is an extremely talented chef and naturally this is demonstrated in his passion and love of food. The food was delicious tasty and great value for money. I would recommend him in a heart beat. We were guests at a private party today in Thorpness, Suffolk. Mark Weeks was the private chef and the quality of his food was superb! Every dish was so well put together, very well presented and absolutely delicious. We would definitely hire Mark for special occasions and will highly recommend him to anyone wanting something special. We have been left wanting more, which is the result of a great experience. Mark Weeks catered our family party of 27 and was outstanding. He created a 1960s-themed menu with a modern twist, handled multiple dietary needs with ease, and used fresh, seasonal ingredients. From canapés to dessert, every dish was flawless and loved by all. His front of house team were brilliant and the kitchen was spotless afterwards. A true professional – I’d book Mark again without hesitation!

Mark cooked us the most delicious three course dinner for our holiday rental, we hired for my best friends hen party. Nothing was to much trouble and every course was perfection. Mark made our first night in the house fuss free and one to remember.

Mark cooked a fantastic meal for fifteen at our holiday rental, coping wonderfully with the temperamental AGA! Nothing was too much trouble. The steak was cooked to perfection, it melted in your mouth. Thank you Mark for making the birthday party so special.

Mark cooked a fantastic meal for 11 of us at our weekend rental, which everyone really enjoyed. He also travelled outside of his usual geography when we were forced to move venue. I found communicating with him before the event very easy and everything ran like clockwork on a 50th birthday celebration. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.

We needed a private chef to cater for a family celebration dinner for my Mum's 80th Birthday. We were recommended to Mark from someone we knew who had used him twice and I can honestly say he made it a night to remember for all our family. Communication from the outset was professional, but also warm, friendly and welcoming and it was no problem for him to cater for my Dad (who is celiac) plus a few other dietary requirements within our group of 13.

Mark messaged on the day of the event confirming arrival and arrived perfectly on time with his lovely wife, who was the most wonderful help serving the food and wine throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious - just excellent! Mark obviously is a very talented chef and creates absolutely amazing food. Every course was just fabulous and his wife ensured we had everything we needed during the evening. They were a fantastic team and it was an absolute joy to have them cater for us.

Perfect food (and trust me, I'm very fussy!) - a very easy 10/10 in every possible area from the quality and flavour of the food to how hard both Mark and Laura worked to ensure we had the best evening possible.

They also left the kitchen spotless before they left - we would never have known they had been there!

A huge thank you to you both for ensuring we all had the most perfect evening - we all have such lovely memories of a special night for my Mum.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mark. Please book him if you have a special occasion (or make one up!) - you will not regret it!

We hired Mark for a dinner in our rental property.

From the minute he turned up, everything went so smoothly. He had also brought a waitress with him for a small fee to help make the evening run nicely and to save us doing any additional work - which I highly recommend.

We had pre-selected our 3 course meal and a selection of 5 canapés. All of which were incredible and so delicious. We could not stop talking about the food and how tasty everything was.

There was not one single negative of the night and we will definitely be using him again in the future.

An amazing experience, some of the best food I've eaten! I would recommend Mark 100 times over. The food was exceptional, service second to none and they even clean up after!

We have had a number of different private chefs and I would recommend Mark over the rest we have tried previously.

We enjoyed the Duck Croquettes to start followed with the Beef Wellington for the main. We all said it was the best Beef Wellington we have ever tasted and cooked to perfection! We then finished off with the Trio Desserts which with the Chocolate Fondant, Pana Cotta and Stick Toffee Pudding. All guests were amazed and really enjoyed. Can’t wait to book in with Mark again! Thank you for making it a great evening Mark!

Mark catered our wedding weekend - we had a 3 course meal on Friday night with canapés and then a buffet style lunch on the Saturday.
The food was incredible - and it is all anyone could talk about.
Everything was so fresh, high quality, tasted delicious, portion sizes were great and it looked amazing too. One of our guests hates sticky toffee pudding, but ended up eating two!
Mark was so helpful with picking our menus, we chose a combination of things from the sample menus and then added our own requests too. Nothing was too much trouble.
Mark was very easy to get hold of ahead of the weekend and helped with getting lovely servers too. And then during the weekend arrived on time, couldn't do enough to help make things easy for us and left everything super clean and tidy.

Spent a fabulous weekend at Suffolk Escape with friends from Spain and Mark cooked for us on the Friday! Superb food, including the most delicious cheese soufflé and an exquisite chicken dish. Beautiful flavours and a lovely guy. I would highly recommend him xx

Mark catered for a party of eleven. The choice of menu was varied and the quality of the produce excellent. Mark was able to adjust our choices to suit some varied tastes. The food was delicious as was the presentation. Our kitchen was left clean and tidy and it was a pleasure to have Mark in our home. Highly recommended!
