Best PT around.

Steve is a fantastic trainer and knows his stuff! The work and dedication he has put in to everything he knows about the human body and how it works shows in his delivery of personal training.

The confidence you get knowing what to actually do in the gym and seeing the results are just the best feeling!

Do you want results? You want Steve!

I've known Steve for a few years now, and that may have you thinking 'here comes a biased review'. That couldn't be further from the truth, as I will tell you my experience as it was, is and I'm sure, will be.

I was always fit and healthy, I could run for 3 miles without hardly breaking a sweat in my youngers years. Now after years of living a sedentary lifestyle, eating take out pizzas, and filling my face with quickest thing to make...The result was a 24 stone, 6ft2 fat tub of lard that couldn't walk 3 miles without having a miniature heart attack, suffering with: Sleep apnoea, Diastasis Recti and a host of other complaints...I ended up looking in mirror and saying 'No More'.

I joined a local gym, had my induction and started the journey I am currently on. As I mentioned, I have known Steve for a few years, I knew he was into his training so I approached with the training plan I had been given. My concern was that, I wasn't finding it challenging, I could do this with my eyes closed, I was leaving the gym and felt like I hadn't been working out at all. Steve had a look it and then we had a rather honest conversation...He came back with a few ideas.

Deciding to go ahead with Steve as my PT, we booked in my first session (induction) for me, a 2 minute walk to the gym...for Steve a 8 hour round trip! I bet you can't name one PT who would do that for you, well Steve did that for me, like I imagine he would do that for anyone. Well, first session over showing me the workouts, was a workout in its own right...Something I had felt in the first few weeks of returning to the gym. Now it's on me to work after Steve gave me first weekly programme, "You've got this" is the greeting.

Well, I'm 6 weeks in and I'm seeing the difference, and a notable difference it is. I'm lifting, pushing, walking more...Steve takes onboard the weekly feedback that he requests, he changes it up...He makes you work. But that's he it...You do it, He gives you tools to do it.

I could have stayed working on the original gym programme and not engaged Steve to help me...I'm personally very happy that I went with Steve...I have the direction, the goal and with Steve's support, I know I will get there.

He's tailored my programme to me, he's researched the conditions that I have, and he's there to offer the support when I need it. What more can you ask for? Well, if you want results, you want Steve.

Personal trainer

I have had a great experience with Steve so far both in the gym and in communication outside of the gym. He has helped me not only with the physical challenges but the mental battles I have had in aiming to reach my goals. I was a bit sceptical as to whether to get a PT or not, but I’m so glad I did, he has so much knowledge to share and has definitely improved my training!

MAP strength a game changer for personal fitness

MAP strength a truly life changing experience.
Having recently been diagnosed with a life changing condition I didn't think that I would be training. But Steve came up with a program tailored to my needs. The research that he put in was better than most of the healthcare professionals I have seen over the last 2 years. Absolutely couldn't recommend Map strength more! Steve is a truly caring and compassionate person that wants you to succeed in your individual goals. Thank you Steve truly a game changer in the industry!

No matter your level, Steve is your man.

Steve is an awesome PT who makes sure to work towards the end goal of the client rather than just using the same cookie cutter template for everybody.

In the years that I've been training with him he turned me from a dabbler in the gym, into someone who cannot wait to get in and train to push myself to reach more and more goals; I've achieved milestones in my traijing that I know wouldnt have been possible without his help.

More recently he has managed to work with my wife who was previously scared with the thought of going to the gym and working out, like I know a lot of people are, yet has been able to work with her to grow to love working out and she bow absolutely kick's ass with her training.

If you're new to working out and need someone to point you in the right direction or get over your gymxiety, or are a regular gym rat who wants to push their training over the top and see real results, Steve at MAP Strength is your man.
