The concept to fulfill your boat license while sailing is just great! Didn’t have any experience with sailing yet but I’m more than motivated to enjoy this lifestyle or maybe become a skipper in the future☺️. Markus had a lot of patience and answered all my questions. He focus on the topics you really need to practice, which is very helpful for the exam. The feeling on board was familiar and very supportive! Perfect sailing academy, perfect sailing trip, perfect vacation

The concept is simple but yet genius. You go on a one week sailing vacation, get hands on experience in any aspect of sailing, eat delicious food, learn lots of theories in-between and in the evening (heavily supported by the academy own learning app), enjoy drinks, practice theoretical knowledge on the go, and before you know it you rock the exams end of the week and go home with your pleasure craft license (Sportbootführerschein, SBF).

Big thank you to instructor Markus and our skipper Marie for the great vacation in Croatia, the splendid teaching concept and the lots and lots of fun! It was a blast!

Can highly recommend Manatee Academy for any sailing related courses. Their concepts are superior to anything else on the market. Don’t bother going to other schools sitting in neon lighted class rooms, while you can instead enjoy the theory of sailing hands on on the water.

Looking forward to my next course (maybe the radio course for the short range certificate, SRC, or even the sport coastal ship license, SKS, theory and practice) with Markus and the Manatee crew.

Wind in your sails and a hand-width of water under your keel!

This was my first experience on a sailboat and after a week still left me wanting more ! The sailing was amazing and the people at Manatee made sure to cater to our interests and limitations throughout the experience. As someone with limited German skills, I really appreciated them (and the group) accommodating me and the infrastructure around the courses meant I could pass the exams without any additional prep before the week.

I also loved the overall vibe throughout the trip and the night anchoring in the bay was one to remember ! Looking forward to more trips and can highly recommend Markus and his crew if you are looking to get your license or just experience and learn sailing for fun !
