Wish I could leave 0. They took 90 dollars from me and two weeks later my account was still "under review" whatever that means. These people are thieves.

Not compatible with real-life store operations

MailPoet suspended sending abilities because our site could not prevent 100% of all fraud attempts. Their service adds emails and sends double opt-in emails even if the order fails or anti-fraud systems block it. When working with support, its representatives refused to to see that this is a problem their own logic rules are creating.

Their should be a parameter when users can stop the additoin of an email address to MailPoet if an order fails, or is pending payment. An alternative would be an option of choosing not to send double opt-in emails on failed or incomplete orders. Another option is for address verification before the opt-in email is sent.

Just leave this guys that the only thing can do is go to fry potatoes at mc donald.

unreliable time wasters

even after you pay them a monthly subscription, they repeatedly disable your ability to send emails.

every week they email you with a new problem they invented.

if you want to send emails reliably, avoid this company.

Never again!!

First they make you sign up and pay monthly, then as soon as you send something they block your account because 'there are too many bounces'. Absurdly, they advised me to use Amazon SES or Sendgrid. Never again!!

Horrible Service - Zero Support

I bought the premium plan, but they did not review my subscription so I could not send any mails with the platform. Its very frustrating. Don't use them if you want to get something done. I mailed "Support" but nothing. Be very careful. Business - 1,500 plan.

Worst customer service

Worst customer service. After validating my domain, they never reviewed my subscription, a step that was supposed to be completed within 48 hours to be able to use the service fully. After a week, still nothing. You're supposed to be able to cancel the subscription, but there's no option to do so.
I requested a cancellation and refund. Customer service is unresponsive, even on their social media.
For four months now, they've continued to charge my bank account even though I can't use their service and have switched to another one.
Run away, switch to Mailchimp; at least it works from the first installation.

Avoid MailPoet at All Costs

I would strongly advise against using MailPoet for any serious email marketing needs. My experience has been nothing short of disastrous. When I needed to urgently reactivate my account over the weekend, I discovered their support team simply doesn’t operate on Saturdays or Sundays—completely unacceptable for a SaaS provider in 2025.

To make matters worse, my account was locked the moment I tried to send a campaign. Their refusal to offer a refund, despite their service failing at a critical time, shows a complete lack of accountability or customer care. Competitors in the same space had no trouble running my campaigns without delay—MailPoet was the only provider that failed.

If you’re looking to move fast and go to market without hitting roadblocks, steer clear of this platform. There are better, more reliable, and more responsive alternatives out there. MailPoet’s policies and support structure are outdated and inflexible, and they clearly prioritise internal rules over actual service delivery.

Extremely disappointed. Not recommended.

MAIL POET they are irresponsible and scammers

I spoke to sales about the problem I'm having, and no one has passed it on to the "engineers." According to sales, they were going to forward the problem to them so they could take care of it. I've been waiting a week, and my blog is blocked (I can't receive any visitors, and I'm losing visitors every hour). It's frustrating. I will never use Mail Poet for anything, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The problem started because I downloaded Mail Poet for email subscriptions, and it asked me to configure DNS settings. I configured them, and it was truly my worst nightmare. The blog blocked, and Mail Poet was supposed to review it for a maximum of 48 hours. It's been a whole week now, and no one is taking responsibility. Unfortunately, I had to leave a review like this so that anyone who's going to use Mail Poet is fully aware that they may run into problems later.

Pay them a high monthly subscription and they often suspend your ability to even use their service until their team look in to it for some stupid reason that doesn’t even make sense. Plenty others out there offering similar services so look elsewhere as this company are rotten and do not deserve your subscription.

Avoid Even as Last Resort

Garbage service + they make it impossible to get started. They wanted me to create a form and use a personal email address to send to my list before I could email them. Ridiculous.

I can't even recommend them as a last resort.

Don't bother - it's VERY VERY complicated.

We can't just create a account but gets a "copy paste link" and from there on!! It's so complicated that I don't get to create a account.

This can't be real human, -having created this and with so many bad reviews?

This was terrible

This was terrible. Deletes subscribers. Updates destroyed the mailpoet database, and crashed my entire website - after I told it not to update.
When you cancel your subscription the links in past emails become invalid.
Support is pathetic - and I was paying for it.
If you don't want a lot of trouble, don't use this software.

To try this e-mail sending service, I created a Starter account (forever free up to 1000 subscribers). I created a "Post notification" e-mail and scheduled it to be sent out the next day, but they were not sent out. In the "System Status" page I see the status: "Sending". I don't know what it means exactly, but e-mails have not been sent for 2 days. If "forever free" is intended to test/check the operation of their system (in theory it should work perfectly), then what will it be like for the paid plans?
