Used the Meet and Greet service, please be aware
Used the Meet and Greet service and came back to find the driver's side interior panel of my car damaged. Accidents happen, and I'm sure it wasn't deliberate, but the way the claim was handled is the reason for this review.
The supervisor on the day told me I'd hear back within 48 hours. I heard nothing until I chased publicly on social media, at which point I was told the standard response time is 10 working days.
The claim was then rejected on the grounds that Stansted does not record or photograph the interior of vehicles at check-in, so they could not verify the damage wasn't already there. At no point was I asked for photos or any evidence before that decision was made.
Think about what that means in practice. This is a service where staff get into your car and drive it, yet they choose not to document the interior at handover. So if anything inside the car is damaged while it's in their care, there is no route to a fair outcome. The lack of evidence is a gap in their process, not the customer's fault, but the customer is the one left carrying it.
If you use Meet and Greet here, take dated photos and video of your interior, including door panels and trim, before you hand over the keys. Don't rely on them to protect you.
One star for the claims handling. The parking itself worked fine, which makes it all the more frustrating.
