I been as a customer over 10 years. Last time purchased on site the item, it never been delivered. Of the reason seller opened the case, ebay by the final decision rejected the refund request. So I have been ripped off, no cash return no Item.
The Royal Mail is very unreliable when it comes to deliveries. They marking item as delivered without any proof of it. It happens regularly.

bought two items which was recorded by seller as delivered but was not delivered got cctv rise a case with customer they are on seller side and closed the case not a happy customer

I have this account since 10 years! I buy and sell. I have met this gaspode69 (Mr Harcourt) from UK. A very bad seller. He sold me a watch (Vostok Kommandirskie)
-He sold me an item for 2.5x the price, and I bought it thinking to make a good deal.
-he illegally reported the wrong value of the package to the Danish custom (I have evidences and photos). The value of the package was 121 GBP and he reported 50. There is a possibility of a high fine up to 65000€ if I do this often and all his fault!!!
-he failed to report the IOSS VAT number on the package, and even lied saying he did.
-he denied assistance with Royal Mail for the double VAT I had to pay! And told me it was my job.
-he wrote very arrogant words toward me when I tried to show him the mistake he did, and said I was very arrogant
-stopped to reply.

And you guys on ebay:
-canceled my bad feedback toward him!!!! This is a serious matter.
-And you invent reasons why not to pay back the VAT to me! I have already sent to you evidences of double VAT and you still do not provide me with help. Just words….
-treated to close my account because of extortion.
BASICALLY YOU EXTORT MY MONEY, THE SELLER DOES NOT DO HIS JOB, I PAY DOUBLE VAT, AND I GET ACCUSED OF EXTORTION!!!! Do you realize how serious are this accusations?

I find all this extremely disgusting!

I have no other choice than report your behave to the government entity that monitor extra EU traffic and hopefully they do something so you stop being so disrespectful.

Bad experience no happy customer, scam company saller the item not working and have different pictures quality, waiting from July the product replacement, no service assistance just take the money !!

Ebay could be really good but they allow 1,000s of scams every day and won't take the necessary action to protect their customers from them.

Purchased several times with a company call MegCookiecutters which trade under the disguise of 3dprintingmegcookiecutters on eBay.
Two orders arrived but the third did not. They pretended it had and provided a strange signed tracking.
Opened a case which eBay almost immediately closed with no way to reopen. I provided feedback which eBay didn’t then allow to be shown which again misleads buyers as negative feedback isn’t advertised or adjusts the review rating.
Buyers don’t buy from Megcookiecutters or the disguised trading name. You won’t receive either the items you paid for or any help from eBay.

Do not use this awful platform if you are a seller. If you are a low volume seller, competitors can purchase your goods and leave your negative reviews. This will almost 100% take you out the market as you can no longer advertise. Ebay are a joke

I have been a customer since 18 years. Ebay used to be good and great to grab a bargain or put something up for sale. The past years it has only gone downwards. First of all - its overfloated by chinese low-quality crap items, even when you select your region you still get items that are sent from China and ebay does not check it. Even items that were labelled "UK STOCK" got cancelled for not being in stock and coming from china. The only time I dare to order from ebay is if I really have to, and then only with Paypal Payment, as in 70% of the cases I have to open a dispute on paypal to claim my money back for some reason. I have become so suspicious over the time, but there are just so much scammers out there, you hardly cannot avoid them. Today I bought an item and paid via paypal. A little later a message from ebay - my order has been cancelled due to suspicious buyer activity. Thats it. No information in how to get your money back. Ebay lets you just stand in the rain. The website itself is outdated anyways, nothing is easy to find, nothing is intuitive, you spend hours in clicking and reading through help articles to finally get somewhere you need, only to find out that your best chance is to claim your money back via paypal. My partner sold a couple of items recently and all his money is on hold for 3 MONTHS .. because his account is old ?! The only way to get it out sooner is if a buyer leaves positive feedback. So many people don`t leave feedback or mark the article as received, you have to pay in advance for sometimes high postage costs and ebay just holds your money?! On top - the prices for listings are a joke. Our inventory all of a sudden was overfloated with double listings, that have autorenewed (and auto-paid) automatically. The only way to stop the autorenewal is - a premium paid for sell agent.
It is a shame, but I know why I used ebay less and less... it is just not worth it..

This site which I have been a member for almost 20 years have adopted a method making it harder to sign into ones account and spend money? They are now using an antiquated Captcha to verify yourself making it a total chore to sign in. FOR heavens sake! don't the users of this internet have to jump through numerous hurdles just to surf the web. Accept cookies, turn off ad blocker, allow notifications the list is endless. You do not own the web so why enforce your pathetic rules. Without the general public you have nought so start making it easier for us to use. Please don't hide behind legislation because you take no notice when it comes to paying your taxes.

Reading other reviews, what stands out is inconsistency to buyers and sellers. A seller offered free delivery on a wheel bearing to my postcode then asked for an extra £10 which I refused leading to them cancelling. I left Neg’ feedback which was true, factual and in no way offensive. It was removed by ebay who told me that they had given a strike against the seller and would keep my feedback on file but they would not allow me to have it re-instated and I cannot appeal. Makes no sense. The Postage section of a listing is pointless and meaningless it appears. I’ve started to use ebay as a Directory to locate an item then purchase direct from a sellers website when possible. I therefore know the cost in total. Ebay is a failing project incapable of dealing with scammers and overseas businesses pretending to be UK sellers.

Did you know that ebay allows sellers to remove 5 negative feedback a year……My comment above is slightly wrong in that ebay did not remove the feedback, the seller did.

new payment system is useless. website is like something from the 70's. My balance has disappeared from my paypal AND ebay account. Spent the last hour trying to find the correct information but NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. Jamie Iannone shame on you. A fool leading fools.

Been with ebay for over 13 years and well over a thousand transactions, I used to love it but have just closed my ebay account and paypal account as sick of the scammers, con-men, hostile liars and crooks. The customer service could not care less about all the violations and are worse than useless, ebay simply is not safe and no longer worth the stress

I sold an item on ebay and buyer wrote to say she had broken it and wanted a refund. I refused the refund and then when I spoke to ebay they said give the buyer a refund. Why should i be out of pocket on the matter? the buyer has by her own admission said that she broke it whilst she was using the item and demanded a refund. Despite whatever evidence you provide to them, the organisation is only set up to protect the buyer, even if they are fraudulent, and admit they have damaged the item. Ebay does not provide any seller protection. I now have a damaged unsellable item and am out of pocket as i had to pay for the return postage too. Minewhile this buyer continues without punishment to rip off other sellers. Time to give up on Ebay and use other online platforms that provide equal rights to sellers too.

Filtered for 'UK' sellers only and ordered. Seller cancelled order due to postage costs to NI, they were actually located in Hong Kong. Tried again with a different seller, guess what same thing, in damn Hong Kong. DO NOT TAKE FOR GRANTED ITEM LOCATION IN UK EVEN IF IT STATES THIS ON ITEM LISTING, this is scourge throughout the site which eBay obviously aren't regulating and make it very difficult make a complaint within the spectrum of site. I'm done with eBay.

Used ebay shipping powered by Packlink. Sent an item that was lost by the courier (Hermes). Item was fully insured. Packlink (ebay shipping) informed me I was due compensation for the lost item. No compensation received. ebay shipping is a to be avoided at all costs.

Ebay have turned into a joke, trying to get a simple refund for items and refund for return postage costs, the trained chimps make it near impossible to get any sort of a refund, the customer advisors from Delhi are so stupid and slow, copy and paste apologies, struggle to have basic English skills, treat customers like absolute clowns, l have had enough and closed my account down

I have had a bad experience with a seller, who have false contact details registered with eBay. Surely this is a red line?

Customer services failed to grasp, let alone acknowledge or solve the problem for me. It seems there isn't really much of a complaints procedure to explain my dissatisfaction. I can't even find an email address to make contact with the complaints department!

There are no seller protection rights, i sold a perfectly working gpu card, buyer after 14 days requested return as Doesn't work or is defective, buyer may have damaged it when installing it and may not have the correct computer components to run it, still waiting for return, i now have a broken gpu card and lost £900.00 will never us ebay again but who f__ki__ cares any way there help for sellers sends you around and around in circles.......
