Thank You - Leeming Bar…

We are new customers to the Leeming Bar office. We needed oil at short notice and Rachel could not have been more helpful.
I was really impressed by the care she took and I can report Lynx delivered as promised.

AVOID - no customer service skills & don’t care at all.

I unfortunately encountered this company whilst trying to get home. One of their drivers had double parked blocking the entire road (Brand End Road, Butterwick, Lincolnshire) at approximately 8.40am although he was not yet hooked up delivering fuel he refused to move even slightly to allow cars to get through the road & insisted it wasn’t his problem forcing at least 6 cars to have to turn around in the middle of the road & try to find another way through. If you need to be parked in a certain place it would have been wise to knock on the door of the house where the other car was parked & ask them politely to move a little so he could deliver his fuel, not just block the road & tell everyone else it’s tough. Rang the number I found on Google to report this behaviour & was told with no number plate they couldn’t do anything…although with an approximate address, time & date I would think this was more than sufficient.

What an awful company to deal with.

We have reviewed this matter internally and can confirm that the driver reported the situation to our office at the time. He was in the process of filling a domestic oil tank when approached and explained to those waiting that he was mid delivery and would only be a few minutes before moving on.

For safety reasons, once a fuel transfer has commenced, the vehicle must remain stationary until the delivery is complete. Interrupting the process or moving the vehicle mid transfer would not be safe or compliant with operating procedures. We understand that temporary road obstruction can be frustrating, however safety must always take priority during fuel deliveries.

Professional conduct is expected of all our drivers and any concerns raised are reviewed carefully. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to ensure our team communicates clearly with members of the public when carrying out deliveries.

I placed an order for heating oil with…

I placed an order for heating oil with the Kent depot on January 4, expecting it to arrive by the 16th. As of January 26, it still hadn't shown up, leading me to cancel the order. I had to make an urgent purchase from another nearby provider, which ended up being very expensive. Lynx doesn't respond to calls or return my courteous messages, leaving me clueless about the delay. Their customer service is severely lacking, and I will definitely not be using them in the future.

Avoid

Order continually being pushed back later and later. Order was placed on 6th January for delivery on 20th. Still no delivery, and continuing to push the date back. Don’t trust this company to deliver your oil if you need it, otherwise you’d probably need to order a calendar year in advance…

Failed to deliver my heating oil

I ordered heating oil from the Kent depot on 4 January, for delivery on 16 January. On 26 January it has still not been delivered, so I have cancelled the order. I have had to place an emergency order with another local supplier, which has cost me a fortune. Lynx never answer the phone, nor do they reply to the ( polite ) messages that I left, so I have no idea why they have not fulfilled the order. Complete lack of customer service, and you can be sure I will never order from them again.

During the period mentioned, our phone lines were staffed and operating, although we were managing a particularly high volume of calls and enquiries due to seasonal demand. This may have resulted in longer waiting times for some customers, and we understand how frustrating that can be when trying to get an update.

Fantastic Service

Fantastic Service! Lynx pulled out all the stops to help us with a new boiler issue and lack of fuel in the freezing weather and heavy snow. They managed to reach us with a 4 x 4 through ice and snow with an emergency fuel delivery and a very helpful, kind, professional service. They went above and beyond and their customer service is 2nd to none. Would highly recommend.
