I have had several deliveries from your company but the last one was disappointing as the logs were much smaller than those delivered before. As always the courier company we’re extremely helpful in positioning the crate exactly where I wanted it.

Easy to order and make the payment. This is the first time I have purchased wood from 'Luxury' and based upon my experience I certainly will do again.
The hornbeam wood gives out a lot more heat than many types. It was very dry and virtually all the same length and different sizes, making packing in the wood store easy.
In future this is the only type of wood I would buy, The heat output seemed better Ash.

The wood is excellent and the delivery times are very good also. My problem is that your company uses delivery services which cannot manage the large pallets of dried wood fuel. They never have the electric pallet movers which are needed, and the wood is delivered by just one person without help. I normally have to help move the pallet from the truck to the drive and as I suffer from chronic arthritis this is a paiful process for me. Please can you insist on the correct delivery mode for the items you sell. The drivers continually complain to me about this problem, and on several occasions the pallet has toppled over before it reached my house and arrived badly repaired which made it even more unsafe. Incidently, if I don't help with the delivery the driver just says they will take the pallet back to the depot.

My first (and only) experience of buying timber from Luxury Wood was a very good introduction to this company. Living as we do at the end of a very narrow private road, access for the delivery of a load of posts and oak sleepers was always going to be a problem.
However, with the help of Danni and the Support Team a solution was quickly identified. [They either used Google Street View, or did a personal recce!]. The posts have now been installed, the sleepers ripped down to 20 x 50 mm cross-section and we now have the "contemporary fence trellis" as we had intended. I fully recommend this company and their products. Alan J

Some problems with the delivery, arrived safely eventually.
We have a good, wide but shingled drive. A delivery that was better than kerbside would be a great improvement.

Very easy to order online.Prompt delivery .The pellets are very good.Produces little ash .

I decided to try another supplier from my usual go to choice of Timports, as after googling through various companies I decided to try your company as the picture on the website the crate looked huge compared to the lady next to it and also the logs looked chunky which are better for burning in our 14 Kw log boiler wood burning stove as they last longer. The delivery was as fast as Timports with the pallet network but there wasn't a choice of delivery dates so was a bit unsure when the logs would arrive till I got a call from pallet line the day before they arrived. The crate was about usual size and the logs well packed but unfortunately for me the logs were smaller in girth than what I had hoped for, would be grand for a small stove but for our beast which heats radiators, water etc they burn away at an astonishing rate. I realise they are probably imported and maybe there is very little control over what you receive and what you ordered. But you asked for a honest review and I hope I hope I have given one.

Very pleased with the quality of the Oak Boards I purchased for raised beds. No worm and at least one square end on each. A few had a slight curve or twist, but every one was usable with a little thought. Will definitely use you again.

I bought softwood heat logs after having previously bought hardwood heat logs. I don't find them very good - I have to keep the stove vents open for quite a while to get them to catch; otherwise they smoulder and emit smoke in the neighbourhood. The heat output is disappointing in comparison with the hardwood heat logs. I also don't like the plastic packaging which is hard to cut into and remove and seems much thicker than that which wrapped the hardwood heat logs. Finally, the delivery driver was sent out with only a manual lift with which she and I together were unable to shift the pallet and had to unload it pack by pack from the lorry while the street remained blocked to other traffic. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience after having previously been pleased with my purchases. Needless to say, I shan't be buying the softwood heat logs again.

No issues or problems.

Used these for many years now.
Great service and very competitive prices. Helpful and courteous drivers always bringing our crates up our drive.

One suggestion: An optional ‘lid’ to purchase would be a great idea.
All the crates are the same size so a plastic molded ‘top cap’ would enable these crates to be used as a proper log cabin.

As currently the top polythene cover sags and breaks when it rains we put a piece of marine ply on top but something more permanent would be great!
