Rolex sent to Luxury Watch for repair…

This is an updated answer to my review re Rolex watch sent to Luxury Watches Repair Hatton gardens 15 May 2025 at the time of posting previous review 28 May 2026 a year of waiting telephone calls emails unanswered etc - £786 paid Rolex62978/108379 on 28th May 2025. A complete year has passed with no returned Rolex so we are now dealing with the insolvency firm dealing with Luxury Watch business affairs. SO imagine my surprise to see reply from Luxury Watch Repairs they have no knowledge of Marion Jones I have had telephone calls with Scott, Chris,(early days when they answered the phone) a nice email later from Oliver explaining the restructuring of new company and they graciously offered to take on the ongoing repair of Rolex, we declined this and asked for return of watch if I had know they were closely following Trust pilot reviews I would have enclosed all quote and order no's as they never answered many of our enquires regarding Rolex watch. I know this update is long boring but find it strange they think some random weird Welsh women who they have never heard of is suddenly making up stories. HOWEVER because we have dealt with the administration company yesterday our Rolex was delivered by post completely out of the blue , it was working but not repaired crown not set right so not waterproof . this review should have no stars beware we were taken in by the smart online swiss looking repair shop , if anyone is still waiting for returns suggest you consult administrators dealing with company affairs.

Dear Marion,

We are sorry to read your review and would of course like to investigate this matter further for you.

However, despite extensive checks of our systems, we have been unable to locate any repair or customer record under the name “Marion Jones”. We have therefore reached out to you via Trustpilot’s Find Reviewer tool requesting further information so that we can identify the matter and assist accordingly.

We must also firmly address the suggestion that your watch has been “stolen”. Such a statement is entirely false and unfounded. At no stage has any watch been stolen by our company and we take exception to allegations of this nature being made.

We would kindly ask that you provide the requested information so that we can properly investigate and resolve any genuine issue as quickly as possible.

Kind regards,

6 weeks of hideous communication that…

Couldn’t even find my details to respond to the Trustpilot review despite over 10 e mails. Not sure what good this review will do anyway. They just couldn’t give a hoot

6 weeks of hideous communication that resulted in me paying £24 to get my watch returned without repair. You can’t call them and they don’t respond to e mails. Had to send a friend to visit their offices after a month. Sign on door saying you needed to email them. Just awful awful awful

Impossible to contact

I've been trying to get an update on a watch they have had since september. The high end of their estimated repair time passed 2 months ago and they are impossible to contact in any way. Email, phone, and web chat are all totally inactive. I have no idea if or when I'll find out what happened to my watch.

Poor communication

Poor communication, I had to chase. Delays to repair. When watch was returned it was not working. Once returned for another repair, I heard nothing from them. I tried the phone line, the live chat, email and management mail. Absolutely no communication at all. The worst service of any company I have ever experienced. Liam

Please do not use

Please do not use. If I could rate lower than one star I would. I asked for simple battery replacement and the watch was returned to me with the second hand still jumping. When I queried this, they offered to quote for a (no doubt expensive!) service. Another watchmaker then replaced the battery and the watch is now keeping perfect time. A lucky escape!

Dear Sheila,

We are very sorry to read of your disappointment.

Unfortunately, when submitting this review, no repair number, surname or contact information was provided and therefore we have been unable to identify your repair or contact you directly regarding this matter. We have requested your details via Trustpilot’s “Find Reviewer” tool but, at present, have not yet received a response.

In relation to the issue described, if a second hand begins jumping again shortly after a battery replacement, this is very often an indication that the movement is consuming power at an unusually high rate and that a full service may be required.

However, as all of our battery replacements are covered by a 1-year warranty, we would of course have welcomed the opportunity to have the watch returned so that we could replace the battery again free of charge and carry out further checks and testing over a minimum 48-hour period.

It may still have proven that a service was required should the issue have reoccurred following another battery replacement, however we are sorry we were not given the opportunity to inspect the watch further under the terms of the warranty provided.

Kind regards,

Luxury Watch Repairs

Slow Customer Service

I sent my watch for an estimate. This was too high, and I requested its return and paid the return charge. This was on April 07 this year, and on 11 May, I have heard nothing from them despite four emails requesting information about its return. The telephone number refers to the email address that hasn't generated a response.

I am delighted to say that my watch is now being returned, and I received a call today to apologise for the delay due to a lack of staff.

Watch now tells 2 times…..

Watch was with LWR for approx 30 weeks, with the actual rapier taking 5 weeks longer than their quoted 15-20 week period.

Comms with this company are atrocious. Phones have message that short staffed and ask to use web chat. Web Chat never gets a response and emails are rarely answered.

My watch was returned after ‘vigorous’ testing and checks with the 24hr dial and main dial saying 2 different times….

Unable to get in touch with company for 2 weeks since return of watch to raise this issue, despite them sending an email wanting me to leave a positive review and seeking my comment on service.

I’d avoid using at all costs!! This was my first watch I sent to LWR, and it’ll be the last.

I will be seeking a full refund.

Acknowledging response below, and note that you acknowledge information that I have submitted by email today, however no one has been kind enough to respond to email which is typical of you.

To clarify, I have been advised by Trading Standards to request the 50% reduction in payment AND my watch repaired properly, given the extended time you have had watch, and failure to repair properly.

Dear Mr Baker,

We are very sorry to read of your disappointment.

We would like to clarify that the work was carried out at our official TAG Heuer service centre and all repairs are covered by a 3-year warranty.

I can see that my colleague has already responded to your email requesting that the watch be returned to us under the terms of this warranty so that the issue can be inspected and resolved as a matter of priority. However, we understand that you have instead requested a 50% refund.

As the watch remains fully under warranty, we would kindly request that it is returned to us so that any warranty-related adjustments can be properly assessed and rectified as quickly as possible.

We do genuinely apologise once again for the inconvenience caused and would very much welcome the opportunity to resolve this for you.

Kind regards,

Poor customer service

Can’t reach anyone by phone, rarely get a response via email, web chat is a waste of time. I did eventually get my watch back with some deep scratches to the bezel.. should have sent my watch to the manufacturer. Luxury watch repair was cheaper but now I know why. It also took 6 months to finally get my watch back and they tried to extend the process further. Absolutely shocking business..

Recently sent a Cartier

Recently sent a Cartier, that I haven’t used for two year as stopped working, to Luxury Watch Repairs. Secure insured packaging both ways, watch fixed, communication at each stage. Would highly recommend using this company.

Excellent service

Excellent service. Postage pack arrived quickly and had update on receipt of my watch and how to pay for work soon after I’d posted it. Had updates on progress. Only a battery change but watch checked and cleaned before returning.
I’d recommend this company.

The quality of the work is exceptional…

The quality of the work is exceptional / unquestionable. I did find it slightly challenging to get status updates with prolonged lead times. However once I connected with a employee (vs generic info emails) then the communication improved. I will definitely use again.
