Four out of five is a very good score, but there always needs to be room for manoeuvre. I find Luminous much easier to deal with than some companies.

Very worst company ever seen, They updated some wrong address my profile and debitted amount for the address which i never know. I am trying to get refund. (yes, they cancalled the invoices but amount is already debitted from my bank account). it has been more than a year, i am trying to get back. Customer care is very bad, they disconnect the call if they cant answer. never call back.
Really frustating to be with lunius client.
very simple issue, they were not able to solve.
How come they added differnt meter/address to my profile?
To solve this, very simple to check the bank statement of mine and they can refund.

Not even worthy of a star. We have already had several problems with Luminus. On top of that, their customer service is the worst I've ever known. If you already get someone on the line (for which you can call 100x first) you will get the most diverse answers. We have heard no less than 5 different stories for a complaint. Empty promises, unfriendly, fraudsters. There is a reason that we will switch to another energy supplier next month and will NEVER become a customer of Luminus again. Worst energy supplier experience ever.
I strongly recommend to avoid Luminus. They calculated our end bill based on estimated meters and not the actual. When we switched provider, we had to pay the remaining with the new increased tariff.

Started a contract with them for gaz and electricity and even though all went fine with the gaz activation it remained a problem till the end for the electricity.. I contacted them each month and each month I received the same reply. "The issue is open in back office and we ensure that this matter is solved as quick as possible". Today we are 10 month further and still not solved. This means that at the end I will receive 1 invoice for teh whole year.. Will be difficult to swallow especially with todays's crazy energy rates...
Keep away! This more of a scam than product selling.
The customer service is the worst ever. I canceled my order immediately I placed the order and discovered that I was charged twice for the initial transaction. Instead of the advertised $20 or so $, another charge of $46 was made. They refused to cancel the order saying they have already shipped the product, not true because it was only a few hours with no tracking number. Paypal was kind enough to get me my $46.26 back. They told me to call after receiving the product for the return process. When I did, they want me to resend the $46.26 to them first before sending me the code, without which they will not process my return.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!! they will charge you extra money without any notice, no explanation and charge you even for late payment. Getting in touch with them is pretty much impossible, no English speaking customer service, worst energy provider I have ever had . RUN AWAY !!!!!

I'm french from France (even though my name is Dutch, I know...) still learning dutch, first time I go to Mediamarkt in Wilrijk. It started with the "luminus verkopers" at the entrance.
They scammed me with making a contract i never signed for, i was only asking for information.
The seller was talking fast saying I was going to "bespaar" so much etc... I got that they were too puchy, i didn't liked it so i just said, no sorry I just want information, they gave a flyer and then I left.
In the meantime they succeeded to have enough information to make a contract without my consent (I didn't realised at first).
A few hours later, i got an email saying I had a new contract with Luminus...
They literally copied my signature to make a contract i never asked for!
Be careful when going there with all the sellers that might want you to give information about yourself, they won't hesitate to make contracts behind your back!
This company is a nightmare.
The customer service is the worst I ever had. They never responded on my filled in contact forms (when it was working). You cannot contact them by email. After I find out their phone number, I called them many times (always waiting 20 minutes until someone responded). They always had excuses that there were technical problems.
When I changed to another supplier they kept on sending invoices and credited my bank account for it.
It took 4 month to get a final invoice which also contained mistakes.
So be aware: never subscribe to a contract from this company!!!!!
Very bad company, they have tricked me to sign a contract with them without knowing that, the seller was extremely pushy and know I know why! Terrible to deal with them causing lots of headache to cancel a contract i didnt even wanted to sign at the first place
Luminus' customer service & hence customer retention is almost non-existent. I am a new customer (4 months) and will be leaving Luminus in July due to rather poor customer service. Why bother wasting money on trying to attact new customers when you have no ability to retain them over the smallest of matters.
This company is horrible ! To expencive and no respect for their customers ! They never answer a call , they never reply an email and they just to not care about you. They only want to sell you stopid extra insurances for home electro repair... and they love to inform you that they wil plant trees with the money they stole from you. An absolute 0 out of 10 !!! Stay away from them !!!
I have switched over to Luminus due to attractive promotion.
However, despite being provided with correct customer information, their terrible customer service has made mistake with wrong meter number, customer address, etc.
They have not requested taking-over customer from previous supplier.
As a result, I was customer of two suppliers at the same time :)
Despite tried to solve the prob, Luminus kept asking over again for the same information. Customer service sometimes kind sometimes rude. Not skillfull persons (except the one) in the Customer Service.
Final outcome: I have filed a complaint against Luminus with Belgian and European regulatory authorities. Complaint is still in progress.
Finally I managed to have cancelled contract with Luminus. Asked to remove my personal data (GDPR) but now they play the game asking for written request, means additional time and cost for me. This is now a subject for another complaint with European GDPR authorities :)
DO NOT recommend!
