Great watch when they work

Great watch when they work, but sent my father’s Navy Seal in for repair and was told they couldn’t fix it because they don’t have the parts?!? WTF people!?? You charge a lot for your watches and then can’t repair them??? I’m extremely disappointed and now have a very expensive ant smusher. I will never buy another Luminox.

return policy

Deeply disappointed with @LuminoxOfficial's return policy—bought a sale item expecting quality, but their response: 'according to the Luminox Refund Policy, On Sale items are unfortunately not refundable.' As a loyal fan of your Navy SEAL-inspired watches, this feels unfair & erodes trust. Can we discuss alternatives? #Luminox #WatchCommunity #CustomerService @NavySEALfnd

Luminox is an excellent quartz watch…

Luminox is an excellent quartz watch but a specific model, and the website, aren’t optimal. Probably due to corporate vision. If pointing fingers, please do it at corporate. One of its most expensive watches “VOLITION AMERICA” with their logo “Freedom isn’t free” is such a political statement. Also, the website isn’t providing an option to choose all watches and sort them by price. One star less for the website and three stars less for the political model. You can’t sound political. That’s a “No, no”. Remember that!

Order # 166407 luminox quartz xl 1977

I just received my new luminox quartz xl 1977 yesterday. I set the date and today the date didn't change but the time was correct. I tried to set the date again and advanced the hands, but no matter how far I advanced the hands the date wouldn't change. I haven't gotten a chance to wear it yet and it doesn't work. I called customer service but of course nobody answers. I shouldn't have to pay shipping to send my brand new watch out for repairs. I believe this is ridiculous. I have other swiss brand watches with absolutely zero issues. I'm not a happy customer and this is the first and last luminox watch purchase for me.

Luminox automatic watched stopped…

Luminox automatic watched stopped working after six weeks. Have to ship it to service center. Luminox wouldn't return calls. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend spending money on a luminox. I will see how long it takes to get it fixed and how long it will work. Can't seem to get an answer from luminox Canada.

Luminox USA Watch Repair Saltzman in Rhode Island

I typically expect companies to standby their products within reason and when they disappoint I fully expect that they be called out for their practices. I purchased a Luminox 3001 Dive Style watch back in 2021 and have worn it on limited occasions and travel as my Rolex might draw unwanted attention and issues. The battery had worn out and it was time to install a new one and when done the watch still didn't work. They seemed very concerned that it was no longer in warranty which I figured out on my own. I was given the address of their "Authorized Repair Center" who quickly charged me $35.00 for postage and an estimate. I was OK with this this. Then I got an email asserting all sorts of allegations about the watch being opened by an unauthorized person. The estimate was essentially the cost that I paid for the watch which was swapping out the quartz movement. I rejected the estimate and requested that the watch be returned to me for which they hit me for another $20.00 shipping. Extremely disappointed by this ridiculous "service" provided by Saltzman's Watches More, Inc in Cranston, RI. I place this blame on Luminox for their sub quality $21.00 movement timepiece and the rip off service they align themselves with.

BEWARE…

The default on the website when you order is package protection at a cost. If you go back to check something in the order, it defaults to package protection even if you have just unclicked package protection. I don't even recall seeing "check your order"BEWARE. Be Very careful ordereing from them. So dissapointing.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE, Luminox battery replacement process is very DECEPTIVE. The total replacment cost with shipping is $75.00. Oh and the battery life is only 2 - 3 years. One last thing if your watch is more than that old and Luminox decides to not make the seal there is no guarantee that it will be water proof. Finaly the acutual concierge at Zendesk is USELESS

My Luminox Navy Seal watch stopped…

My Luminox Navy Seal watch stopped working under warranty. I PAID the $35 posted fee and returned the watch March 4th of this year, 2023. The watch was returned around 6 weeks later. It lasted a short time and failed again and I was required to pay $35 a second time to return it to Luminox repair center. Not hearing from them for several weeks I called the repair center for a update and they informed me that UPS reported to them that the watch package was damaged and the contents were missing. My nightmare just begun. The repair center told me that since Luminox was the shipper, with prepaid label, they were responsible for the loss and the company would have to file a claim. Not the repair center. I phoned customer service over 7 times which a recording required me to leave my callback phone number. They never called me back. I emailed the company with no response. The repair center for Luminox was unable to help me and they told me they have simular problems with many complaints going unanswered. Bottom line I have no further recourse and I'm out of $300 plus dollars.

LUMINOX IS GARBAGE

This watch was given to me by my wife and children as I went out on a hostile deployment overseas. I asked my wife for a watch with superior illumination at night that would last for several days on over night operations. I have several watches but needed one specifically designed for operators. She did a significant amount of research and this watch was the one she chose,  based on the information they touted on your website.

I could have taken some of my other watches, but this was the new one my family had gotten me specifically for this trip. So it is what I took.

Upon receiving it before leaving for my tour I was very happy. It was just the type of watch I had wanted. It looked good and had the functions I needed. I was confident in its durability as I left. That apparently was not the case.

Before leaving, myself and my teammates discussed essentials to take. A good watch was one of them and I displayed the new watch my wife and children gave me. I was almost bragging about it. I now regret that.

I left on my trip confident in the watch and it’s capability to perform as advertised — specifically to the military as is displayed on every page of your website. It is literally a key piece of their branding.

Not just two weeks into deployment I was at work and put on my blouse to head outside and the watch fell off. When I went to grab it, the top left portion of the case had broken off. Like a cheap piece of plastic.

For the next few days I had to operate without a watch until I could get to literally a bazaar and buy a cheap watch that had some functionality.

I could not address the issue while I was gone so tucked away the broken watch counting on the “iron clad” warranty you also advertise on your website. Once I returned my wife and I, trusting in your company and its touted warranty, paid to have it sent to you for repair. So now we have paid not only the cost of the watch, but the shipping so that we could use the alleged spectacular warranty they tout on their website.

The repair we were quoted was around $190!!  Over half of what we paid for the watch. That is just shameful. You market to the military community and plaster warranties all over your website. I have the watch for less than a fifth of my deployment, it falls apart while getting dressed, and what we get is either a bill for a ridiculous amount or a charge to send it back.

The only reason we chose to pay to get it home was because it was a gift from my wife and children before I left.

So it sits in my shelf. Broken. Amongst the several other fantastic watches I have had over the years from other companies that have worked just fine and with warranties that have actually worked.

You should note that the cheap watch I bought in that bazar for almost nothing works just fine and is what I now use when I am doing outdoor activities.

This company should be ashamed of their practices. They are happy to advertise military grade quality and warranty while charging premium prices. When they are asked to show some integrity they charge us to have a broken gift sent home.

I cannot tell you how displeased I am and how regretful I am that my wife did so much homework to purchase a watch from my children before I left that fell apart and a warranty that was not abided by.

I really hope that my warnings are heeded, particularly with in the Military, about the false advertising, lack of quality, and terrible customer support we have received.

They are a large company fleecing the military community out of money for cheap products. I hope the comments I leave online and through word of mouth will be heeded by others in my community.

This watch was given to me as a Christmas present. i could not set date or time, I sent back in for warranty and had to pay 35 to send in. After 2 months I get an email that it isn't covered by warranty even though I have never worn the watch and would have to pay 130 to have it repaired. I don't know why I am writing this review as the company could care less about their product

Very dim

Tried 2 of these with the expectation they would be as luminous as the Luminox website pictures suggests. Nice looking watches, but even in a totally dark room, it was very difficult to make out any form of illumination.
Returned both of them. Bought a £65 Accurist with old school luminous hands etc. as a replacement. It retains the luminous effect well after exposure to light.
Totally unimpressed with that aspect of the Luminox watches

These are considered disposable after use.

Nice watches and design , but service, terrible. I sent my watch to the USA service center for a battery and a seal ( after the 35$ pre checkin with pictures). When they received it, they would not even open it. “Your watch is discontinued, and we don’t have parts so we don’t even open it up.” REALLY! I asked why do you accept in for service? I carefully opened it a changed the battery myself. It required a very small screwdriver to release the battery. It works now. Watch model 2000 +3 GMT.

I bought a luminox nighthawk from an on line store in New York. When I received the watch I had such a hard time seeing the tridium tubes in the dark even with my glasses. I requested info from Luminox on the watch I purchased giving them the serial number but no reply. The picture of the tridium tubes both luminox and the on line store is anything but real. A cheap Timex is worth 10 times more than this watch in the dark. Don't buy this watch unless you see it in person first.

Waste of Money!

Soooo, my wife got me a luminox watch on Amazon for around d 300 bucks. while putting it on one day it slipped out of my fingers and landed bezel down on our tile floor. the face shattered. so I looked up the only place that fixes them. Saltzman who quoted us 245 to fix it. I said send it back to me instead, and we threw it away. I now use a G shock Casio and it's much tougher! Save your money!

Strap issues

The ICE SAR works fine, but the strap is essentially trash. Luminox advertises their watches as ideal for every day wear and activities. Turns out the strap has stitching that tears apart and makes it look horrible. They have to lower the price of the timepiece by at least $100.

For the price, there are way better options on the market.
