Lovisa at Markham, Ontario, CA
My experience with Lovisa in Markville Mall, Ontario was very good. I had a helix piercing and it was handled well, very clean, and staff were courteous and helpful. It’s been a month now and the piercing has healed nicely.
I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible. They screwed up piercing my 5 year olds ears not once but twice. Disgusting and then there is never a manager in the store to get money back. DON’T come to this store.
infected ears. I didn’t get periced here but I did buy earrings
all the workers are absolutely loveley it’s the jewlery I’m concerned about. I did not get periced here but I did buy earrings. both my firsts and my seconds are infected a week after wearing them . constant bleeding and gunk coming out of them .

I brought both of my daughters to Lovisa shop at Romford get their ears pierced, and we had an amazing experience! The piercer was incredibly kind and made the girls feel relaxed. Everything was clean, professional. The piercings were done quickly and gently, and we received clear aftercare instructions.
I recommend this place to any parents.
Lovisa manager of Brent cross store
I went to a store in Brent Cross to return for refund of my jewellery ordered online. The staff went ahead without a problem but she was stopped by the asian manager, not sure if she was Indian or Pakistan. The staff was in disbelief/unsure as to why, when she was told that the store only allowed £30 refund when in the website it was not stated. I never argue and kept myself calm. Luckily, I made up my mind to exchange it as to be fair, I really like some of the items. I purchased online more than £100 and yet the manager made it difficult to do refund. I bought few items already few days ago as well in the same store. When the manager left, another staff told me, that she was surprised I never made a scene. Staffs knew the manager done wrong. I hope Lovisa management will look into this, I will never buy anything in this store from now on. I was put off of the service I have received.

Expert ear piercing
My flight was delayed at Brisbane Airport so decided to get an extra piercing in both ears. Claudia was amazing and took care to get them perfect, could not be happier.

Went in picked 30 worth of items didnt look at the price i was billed got home realized they charged me for an item i never recieved i even asked at cashout if everything was onsale the lady said yes then i called to get my 40.00 back and i was told i was lying im never shopping there ever again there scam artists dont shop there unless you want your money stolen
STAY AWAY!!
STAY AWAY!!! The store employs rude managers and they refuse returns or exchanges. But customers are not aware of this until the purchase is made you are gone from the store. Why you ask? Because they refuse paper receipts and only email you a receipt which is where the return policy is listed. However, their corporate site states "easy returns and exchanges" as long as it is not just a change of mind. Total waste of my hard-earned money!
Staff incosiderate and very rude
I entered in to do a nose piercing the processing of getting it was the worse process i dont recommend getting in there the staff was very rude and did not explain aftercare and she just told me to leave after it was done i had tears after the piercing she just told me to leave there was no consideration or care for the customer that is very unproffesional to even fight with the customers well being
Entitled, inexperienced staff
I've had consistently bad experiences at Lovisa stores. The staff often seem inexperienced, unprofessional, and more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. Many come across as entitled and lack basic customer service skills. Some even dress in a way that feels completely inappropriate for a retail setting, which only adds to the overall unprofessional vibe. It's disappointing to see this kind of behavior from a brand that should prioritize presentation and customer care.
Today I went to dundrum shopping centre…
Today I went to dundrum shopping centre where I entered lovisa, I wanted to get my nose pierced and after filling out the online form a woman called “purvi” I believe was my piercer her mannerisms and overall interaction with me was uncomfortable and unsettling for me as a teenager girl she poked and my nose and described my nose as “is there something wrong with it” infront of me which her coworker replied “I think it’s just the shape of her nose” my original piercer looked flustered and did not end up piercing me as her co worker told her she’d do it instead, as a teenager girl with NOTHING wrong with my nose this is simply unacceptable and dissapointing. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Avoid this store
Avoid this store. It’s such a shame because it has good products, They seriously don’t care about their customers. They will only give you a receipt by email which is wrong, some people don’t want to give out their personal details to be bombarded by emails. Sly way of obtaining details. So no paper receipts available,so you’re stuffed if something isn’t right. They employ the most rude staff I have ever encountered, they haven’t the basic manners. Says a lot about this company if they can’t train their staff to be polite when taking customers money.
Stainless steel not real
About 2 months ago I bought a navel piercing at Lovisa, It said on the package that it was stainless steel.
Which it was in fact not, my whole navel turned blueish and now my piercing hurts really bad.
I had to take it out and put the one from the piercing shop in.
The whole piercing from lovisa is grey.
Idk what to do
Horrible experience
Horrible experience, sales associate who stated her name was Bianca, whom had no name tag, stated I can receive, 10% off 2 purchase same day immediately by giving email. Myself and daughter, gave email, discount did not show. I asked Bianca based, on what she stated I was eligible for the 10% off. Bianca said in front of customers I cant get a free discount, degrading my character, embarrassing me like I came in and ask for free jewelry, I am not a crack head or any type of drugs or alcohol. I am a strong black woman who is a senior and disabled that respect the law, policies and procedures. This treatment is unacceptable, end result I purchased, everything because the jewelry was for birthday present and my daughter going to college out of state and I wanted to purchased the jewelry she liked.
Refund policy written on receipt is not honored.
This is the Bethesda, Maryland location.
First, signs all over the store indicating Clearance when they are actually full price. Second, the return policy on the receipt is not honored. Third, the staff is rude and unprofessional. I was told this location would not do refunds by one employee then told by the manager their system is down. Really? For refunds but not purchases?
I’m including the receipt which shows the refund policy and I was well within the timeframe. Being told by two employees I could not get a refund directly contradicts this written policy. Also, I was asked to do an exchange first, which indicates they were going to take the item back but not willing to give any money back. If the computer allows an exchange then it should absolutely allow a refund. They are making possible false claims to avoid giving you a refund.
No Consumer Rights & Terrible Service
One of the Lovisa sale reps' services is appalling .Yesterday (13/06/2025) I had purchased these flat back nose rings so I had asked the one sales rep hey could you please assist can I buy these for my nose she said yes so I searched for some only find that the size was incorrect I struggled for a while eventually I thought my boyfriend I got it right because we got no help. So I purchased the items and by that time we realized that it was the incorrect size but this was only said after my purchase while standing at the till after the lady tells me that she cannot provide me with an alternative instead of me giving my email address why cant you print me a slip all other business entities are printing slips why is Lovisa not printing a slips ?
Yes, the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) mandates that suppliers provide consumers with a receipt or invoice for goods or services purchased, according to LegalWise South Africa and Labor Guide South Africa This document serves as proof of purchase and is crucial for various consumer rights, including returns, refunds, and resolving disputes.
Key aspects of the receipt/invoice requirement under the CPA:
Mandatory for all transactions exceeding R1:
Suppliers are obligated to provide a receipt or invoice for any transaction valued above R1, according to The South African Institute of Professional Accountants - SAIPA.
My purchase was R320 mind you I can not use anything from that purchase.
I went to ask the lady to swap it for my size and get help she turned around and told me I do not have a slip and their policy states that they cannot return earrings and nose rings while I was standing in the shop it was not two seconds I was literally in the store I did not go anywhere I never left the store I was standing in front of her by the till she didn't assist me. I understand that there are policies however what happened to consumers rights with receiving a receipt with every transaction some individuals cannot provide an email address why isn't there an alternative such as a printed slip ? Why do they not have boards to educate consumers on the sizes of nose rings ? Or better yet why is no one assisting the customers on a busy day ? I supported this store my whole life, and since the day the reds branch opened, I shopped there. I am so disappointed in this treatment the standard has dropped. Yes, businesses have policies, but it is going against consumer rights all well and good companies are going paperless but why are other companies providing receipts? Honestly, I do not think this legal.
I really hate going to their store…
I really hate going to their store (Derbion, City centre Derby) and today will be the last time I go there. Their staff are extremely racist, immediately you enter into their shop as a black person, they start blocking you from viewing the jewelleries or even touching them.
This has happened more than 4 times to me and other black people I know. Imagine being in a store and you are the only person (black) being treated that way. Disgusting 🤮
Great store. Online gets zero stars
I have had zero issues with Lovisa in store. Their associates are wonderful. Nothing but kind, helpful and patient. The website, on the other hand, has been a nightmare. My first online order was lost in transit and it took 2 weeks to get a response. Thankfully someone got back to me. I wasn't offered a refund, but rather a gift card for a few dollars more (for the inconvenience). Alright. I'll use that at the store. It isn't close by. My second order was really, really late arriving, but it did finally arrive. The jewelry wasn't good. As per the website, I can return it in store. So off I go. I get to the mall and there's no way to return my online jewelry in store. The young lady who was helping me even contacted her supervisor at home to try to figure out how to make it work. Long story short, we went through a 3 way call with customer service and I had to prove my purchase and leave my jewelry at the store and pray for a refund. The woman at lovisa.com was not a nice person. The sales associate was an absolute darling. She felt so bad that this was happening and was concerned that I wouldn't do business with them again. But I assured her that I would definitely be back to the store because every single time I've been there every single person who works there has been excellent to me. But I will never ever ever ever do business with Lovisa.com again.
