Worst website ever...

Worst website ever.... don't purchase anything from this website.....in the name of Express delivery 3-4 days charges 350/-=extra and looting public and delivering the product after
15 days .....cheap material selling for high price ...never ever purchase anything from this website

A tangled mess of an experience with Lovecrafts.com

I really wanted to love Lovecrafts, but unfortunately, my experience has been more knots than smooth stitches. Here’s the tale of my tangled order:
• I placed an order for some beautiful Malabrigo Rios yarn and paid the hefty $40 duty fee at my local post office.
• Before picking it up, I had a bad feeling (my gut instincts never fail me), so I reached out to customer service. Sadly, their responses were less than helpful.
• When I called, a representative named Mary told me I could refuse the package, but there was a risk I wouldn’t get a refund. This didn’t sit right with me, so I double-checked their FAQ—and it turns out packages refused from Canada are disposed of and not refunded!
• So, I reluctantly picked up the package and discovered two skeins of yarn were missing. I immediately submitted a ticket… and it’s been 3 days with no response. Usually, they respond the next business day, so I’m feeling pretty ignored.
• To add to the frustration, when I started winding the yarn I did receive, three out of six skeins were so tangled that I had to cut them into small pieces, leaving me with a dozen little balls of yarn instead of beautiful skeins.

Honestly, this whole ordeal has been such a hassle. I should have trusted my instincts and ordered from a Canadian website instead! Lesson learned.

After my initial complaint about receiving defective yarn, LoveCrafts finally processed a refund—but only for part of my order, and only after a drawn-out process that should have been simple.

Mary, the US Team Supervisor, was passive aggressive, unhelpful, and dismissive, making it clear that resolving my issue was not a priority. This is not how a reputable company should treat its customers.

While LoveCrafts might have a good selection of yarns, their customer service is lacking in both professionalism and efficiency. If you care about being treated with respect, I’d recommend shopping elsewhere.

I placed an order on Jan 23 from…

I placed an order on Jan 23 from LoveCrafts. The notification of my order's charge from my credit card company was time stamped at 12:01, just past midnight. I received the order confirmation email at 12:07 and noticed that the shipping address was incorrect. I'm not sure if my laptop or something autofilled it or what but it was my old address from about ten years ago. However, the billing address was actually correct on the order. I immediately replied to the email to let them know of the error and that the shipping address should've been the same as the billing address. I also went on their website and submitted a ticket/inquiry. And I figured I would attempt to get a hold of a customer representative in the morning during business hours to follow up on this. By the morning, I had received an email response from LoveCrafts at 7:31 saying that there was nothing they could do and the email had a link to their dedicated page in FAQ basically stating that they absolutely will not deal with wrong address issues.

From a timeline standpoint I don't understand how they couldn't have done anything at all. And the fact that they have a dedicated page on their website regarding this kind of issue just seems concerning to me. Human errors happen sometimes and I admit it's my fault for only catching the error after the order was placed but considering I attempted to bring this to their attention in less than 30 minutes after the error was made it felt like a slap to the face for them to simply say there's nothing they could or would do.

Zero star for customer service and/or shopping experience. Stars not applicable for the yarn products I attempted to purchase. [Note: I even tried reaching out to my old neighbors to see if anyone could help. They had either moved away themselves or didn't know the new people living at my old address.]

Great customer service

I had ordered a chenille yarn and when I started working with it, it just fell apart. I sent a message and picture to the help team and got a very quick reply. They refunded the yarn immediately and I didn't even have to return it.

Good customer service

I wanted to exchange my DK yarn for an Aran of the same brand and called LoveCrafts about it. Spoke to Maria who dealt with my enquiry pleasantly and efficiently, and was very friendly. I had damaged wool delivered

I had damaged wool delivered. Panic stations as l had already started to knit before l realised. An awful lot of wool needed re l was knitting a jumper for my lad. Having not much knowledge of technology l thought l would report the wool to Love crafts. I hope l had sent the correct message, the correct way. Love crafts were on the case straight away., They bent over backwards to make everything ok again. This morning l have just received the replacement wool. Panic over. Big thanks to love crafts. Sent wool from different colour batches

Bought wool for a jumper and was sent wool from two different dye lots. Sent one batch back as I had arranged a swap for some of the balls to be replaced so they were all from the same dye batch. Had spent time on the chat bot and had made it very clear I wanted a swap. The balls I had been expecting to be posted to me have now been sold so I have to make another trip to the post office to return the remaining balls. Customer service was poor as they said they sold the balls as I hadn’t responded to one of their emails sent on 22nd Jan. I sent the wool back on the 23rd through their portal and so assumed they would know it had been sent. I had sent lots of messages and made it very clear I wanted a swap so I could make a start on my project
A very impatient company. What a waste of time.

GUTTED that this company is no longer…

GUTTED that this company is no longer reliable.
This was my "go-to" yarn supplier for years. Once again, I cannot finish a massive project due to their yarns being constantly out of stock. Whoever does the ordering for their stock levels seems to be vastly underestimating what they need, because the Paintbox and Stylecraft yarns are routinely out of stock, so if you are part way through a project and need more yarn, you literally cannot finish it if you used Painbox yarn, because LoveCrafts are the only supplier of this yarn.
And the out-of-stock situation is never resolved quickly. I'm now on week 6 of waiting for WHITE painbox aran yarn to come back into stock. WHITE! It's not even a crazy niche colour.
Worse, is that there is a function to set up emails "alerts" to get a notification when your item comes back into stock. I've had several of these, and I log on immediately when they come through only to find that the items is STILL out of stock! Complete waste of time.
For these reasons, I will NEVER purchase Paintbox yarn again, even though I like it. At least with Stylecraft, you can source it from other suppliers if you run into a problem with LoveCraft's stock levels.
Once my current stash of Paintbox yarns are done, I'm also done.
Their delivery time were never great compared to some other companies I have used so this is just the final nail in the coffin for me as a LoveCrafts customer.
SO gutted.

My Library

I love the idea of a Library of my purchases and choices. My Sirdar cotton cardigan pattern is in there to refer back to another day.
I did find there was more needed information on the length and weight of cotton in each ball for this pattern on the website. When I tried to find out I was given dead end links. I think that information is necessary especially for overseas countries.
