If I could give minus stars I would. The listing from lounge on airbnb of the property I stayed in is misleading. Stated sea view, if you knelt on the bedroom window ledge with your face pressed against the window and looked to your right there is a tiny speck of sea in the far distance. That’s not really a sea view. Stated accommodation was secluded it really wasn’t. Doors from the owners section of the cottage into ours, gaps in the fence from the owners garden to ours and a static caravan on the site didn’t make it feel secluded. Host told me to contact owner. Owner didn’t answer the phone to any call I made. Host just dismissed all my issues by saying no one else who’s stayed there has complained. Also said what more could I want. There’s a beach a few mins walk. Ermmm it was 25-30 if you’re quite fit and healthy with a quicker walking pace. A stroll to the beach was more like 40mins. Basically just told me I was wrong and he was right. I don’t think the host has ever been to the cottage judging by his responses to my questions. Very hostile if you raise any concerns or complaints. DO NOT BOOK WITH LOUNGE HOLIDAYS. Definitely won’t be giving them £1200 of my money again. Weirdly the person who’s given 5 stars on trustpilot shares the same last name as the person I spoke to from Lounge. How coincidental.
