Fold up bed instead of two full size beds

My 18year old son code a holiday of a life time to Rio de Janeiro. After having most of his childhood on fold up beds or being in a second room on our holidays, I paid extra to have a room with two full beds and a sea view. I also asked for an early check in as we were arriving at 8 am in the morning.
We didn’t get a room
Until 5pm. The room we were given didn’t have a sea view and was in a section of the hotel that was being refurbished. The entrance for the workmen was the room next to us. I went and asked to be moved to a sea view room and the hotel said they had no rooms and would we go in a room with a fold up bed while a room came available. This never happened. I told the hotel on leavingg that I wasn’t happy with the room we had been given. Then complained to Lotus & Dial a Flight and they just fobbed me off with excuse after excuse. Just don’t use this company.
