I couldn't have imagined a better journey into DJing!

I travelled from France to go thru all the DJ courses from Beginner to Elite. The personalised, one-to-one lessons, at your pace, are invaluable.
The first impression is amazing: the atmosphere in the new Camden studios is so welcoming you immediately feel at home.
The tutors are all super friendly, professional and committed to your progress. Special shout-out to Olmo who is a true music passionate genius. He pushed my limits to a level I couldn't even imagine before.
At London Sound Academy, you'll learn with professional state-of-the-art DJ gears that are exactly what you'll find in clubs. It's the only way to start trusting your ears and stop looking at the screens.
The result was tremendous positive feedback at my first gig and on social networks.

I'd also like to mention the LSA Alumni community that is very active and supportive. Being able to get our first gigs once graduated is very appreciated.

Special mention to Buster that is taking customer service to a stellar level. He is very reactive to responding to the inquiries and always gives exceptional care to accommodate.

I've been with LSA for nearly 6 months now completing the intermediate and advanced DJ courses and now going through the production course.

I found the DJ courses very detailed and they really help you grow your skill-set. You have access to state of the art industry equipment along with being tutored by professionals who are established within the industry.

LSA care about your growth as a student giving you detailed feedvack and also opening up the entry to your first gigs upon completion of your courses.

The pricing point is more than affordable compared to some other academies which offer a lot less for a lot more money!

Completed the beginner, intermediate and advanced DJ courses at LSA and would completely recommend them to anyone wanting to develop their skills.
The academy is set up so well with all of the equipment that you will find in club DJ booths, and the online booking system makes scheduling your lessons a breeze.
My tutor for all courses was Peter and I couldn't recommend him enough, highly experienced both as a DJ and producer, friendly and fun to learn from, took my mixing and understanding of track construction to a level where I feel I could step into any DJ booth and hold my own.
Next up production courses, can't wait!

I’ve finished my Advanced course at LSA at the end of December, and it has been a great experience. Becoming a DJ is a dream come true, and I couldn't be happier choosing LSA to help me accomplish that. Ben was the instructor that conducted me through this journey with massive professionalism, sharing his vast knowledge always being super patient, encouraging and kind. When he showed me how to beat match by ear for the first time, I thought I would never be able to do it, and I was so shocked when I could do it many times at the end of the course. This was a massive highlight to me. Thank you again, Ben. LSA team is very professional, and equipment is top of the line, studios clean and organised. Booking a class couldn’t be easier, all automated. For that reason, I decided to sign up for the Elite course, in March I’ve complete the lessons with Kieran and loved every minute of it. It has built my confidence to play for a crow, recently played at room 103, at the Ministry of Sound, for a Massive crowd and it felt amazing. Also got paid gigs and went to play in a Ski resort In Borovets. In June I’m going to Amsterdam to play at NL & Jungle Clubs. I couldn’t be happier! Thank you LSA

I want to give a big shout out to the team over at LSA Camden. I have the utmost love my tutors. I had the pleasure of working with almost all of them; Taylor, Paul, Ollie, Kieran and Jozie.

All of whom are fantastic in their own way. Different styles and approaches but all really friendly, informative and supportive. Pure vibes! I haven’t got a bad word to say about any of them. I spent the majority of my hours with Kieran and Ollie and they were super chilled and taught me some really cool techniques for some advanced mixing as well as the importance of keeping things simple whilst playing out. They were both so influential in helping me sharpen my skills in my favoured genre House, as well as helping me realise that I actually really enjoy Open Format and I now feel super confident mixing both, especially the latter having never tried it before. Jozie also helped me realise that I'm a natural at mixing House with Grime and Funky (having come from a background in Grime music, it just felt really fluid & effortless) that was a really fun session actually! She is super cool.

Also, worth noting that Buster the owner was always ready to help me via email and live chats and his responses are always super quick never left me waiting for an answer.

The workflow and structure of the lessons were great, they worked at the pace I was comfortable with. I went there only knowing how to use my DDJ-400 which I bought to practice at home, so having never touched a pair of CDJS before it was quite daunting at first, but I soon got the hang of it and before I know it, within a couple of months I had passed my Advanced Level and I also have a basic understanding of how to use Vinyl.

I was unsure of whether to start with beginner lessons as I considered myself to be slightly above that having practiced at home on and off for half a year, but I am glad I listened to Busters advice to start at beginner anyway because there was a lot of things I didn’t know from the course and naturally I had picked up a couple bad habits through self learning but what I liked as well is their honesty as they also didn’t waste my time on beginner for too long and fast tracked me into intermediate anyway, once they saw I was comfortable within the first couple lessons.

Will definitely be going back to LSA for my Elite Trophy at some point. Watch this space!
For now I am going to enjoy getting some experience playing out :)

The music production course was amazing, I’m very happy with it and so excited with the end result.

I own London Sound. The name was first registered by me in 1969 and is my Trade Mark.

I have not permitted London Sound Academy to use the name.

I have asked them to create a name of their own.

You may, dear reader, wonder why I am not suing them. The reason is that over the last 52 years, many businesses have used the name "London Sound" without lawful Authority from me. At first, I instituted legal proceedings against a number of such businesses, but found it expensive yet not necessary. It also causes new businesses needless cost as they have to pay their lawyers.

Why did I say it's not necessary?

The longer a company uses a name and Trade Mark without the owner's permission, the more inconvenient it becomes. It can affect perceived integrity, it can affect financial integrity and credit ratings. Sometimes the businesses simply go bust, others grow until they have to change name or have to buy a Licence to use the name.

But for now, whilst they are in their early stages, they seem oblivious of the implications.

Time to consider the position.

Just finished my first 3 levels of DJ Lessons, started with some to zero knowledge, and I have to say, I was one of my best decisions ever, Ollie was my tutor, not only that, we made me feel very comfortable with all the classes, being in the studio, answering all my questions, repeating the areas were I had most difficult to deal with, at the end I can say, I made a new friend. Now the next stage is, practice, and prepare for my first gig.
I highly recommend LSA and Ollie! Hope to see everyone soon!

Honestly, i love this Academy and the Vibe the Tutors give you! If you thinking to become DJ, this is the best Chose. I had Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced DJ course with Samantha, Taylor, BEN, OLLIE, OLMO and PAUL. They are so friendly and really really nice people!!! I am so thankfully to meet them and to have 1-on-1 lesson with this Professionals DJ's, every single one of them have them style and teach you something new. I'm so happy i chose LSA! I had several lessons over the years at LSA and I would like to thank Olmo for his exceptional vinyl DJ lessons and help with a mix I was doing at the time which was a little out of my comfort zone. He was very patient and calm and made me feel very at ease and so was able to digest what he was instructing well- the sign of a great teacher! I also want to thank Kieran who I had some really enjoyable lessons with. He showed me how to do some tricks with cutting and chopping, and really understood my preferred genre of garage and how different mixing styles suit different genre's. All the teachers there are very gifted and I thank you all for your guidance.

I was really lucky to get given some vouchers for LSA. I had just made the leap to digital after almost 30 years of vinyl - so this was all a bit daunting for me.

I contacted Buster and explained where I was at. He even guided and helped me progress on Recordbox prior to even booking my lessons.

Finally I had my first lesson during Covid times - fair play, they had all the appropriate procedures in place so I felt at ease straight away.

My tutor was Kieran who was so knowledgeable with the Recordbox programme and my controller that I bought along with me. He went at my pace and a real nice guy which made me feel so comfortable. The lesson went so quick and I was shown how to use the sampler, modify the programme settings ( he knew exactly what to change), use effects and was given loads of tips along the way.

I only have a 2 channel mixer so Kieran explained how this would work, as we used a 4 Channel in the studio. No surprises here - everything worked out just fine when I got home - just got to put in some practice before my next lesson.

All in all a great studio set up with great people that really want to make a difference. I would totally recommend LSA to you all .... Many thanks Buster and especially Kieran - and I’ll see you again very very soon.

I live in the Forest of Dean so I was a bit apprehensive about the 2hr 50min drive there but I can honestly say that I'm so glad I took the course.

I have been producing Techno for just over a year and this really gave me a boost.

I have learnt so many new things.

But also there were things I thought I had nailed but turns out I knew very little about.

I can't thank Jerome my tutor enough. He really goes the extra mile to help you understand everything and will happily take his time explaining things to you even drawing diagrams.

He also makes a great coffee.

So for a 6hr round trip every Sunday over 4 wknds I can happily say it was well worth it.
also if you're booked into Vyner St in Bethnal Green, there's free parking Sunday, a coffee shop and a bar 30 secs away if you arrive a bit early.

Ive done the elite course with Olmo, and ive been thoroughly impressed!

I finished my intro course to Music Production on Ableton last week with Paul. We had to do the last 3 of the lessons via Zoom because of the Studio had closed due to COVID. Just wanted to say that Paul was great and I learnt a lot of amazing stuff. There were a couple of tech challanges, but Paul worked through them and we always got there in the end. He’s a great teacher; very encouraging and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend

Just finished my beginner course before the lockdown. Tutors are super professional, provided me with all the neccessary knowledge. If you want to learn how to DJ or acquire some Music Production skills - This is the place to go to. Can't wait to be back!

Have spent the last 6 months with LSA tutors, doing both the intermediate and advanced courses, and I can't recommend it enough!!
I have learnt more than I could possibly imagine with a variety of truly talented tutors. It is a wonderfully supportive & friendly community to be part of with so many insane opportunities for graduates when you're done.

OMG.... I have loved, and embraced every second of being a student (DJ) at LSA... as they are all master technicians, who know exactly what to do, when it comes to teaching their students how to be at one with the decks, and all aspects of DJing. Not only do they have up-to-date equipment at LSA, But they actually make you feel welcomed there, like your family...

Tayylor is my girl.... she’s got the ‘groove’ and the know-how to pass on her knowledge and skills to novices like myself, with ease. I’ve really enjoyed ALL her lessons. I can hardly believe it when my two hours are up because I love it so much. So I’m really looking forward to my intermediate course starting with Tayylor, soon.

I’m loving my time at LSA... one of the best career decisions I’ve ever made!!
