I visited the clinic for my second…

I visited the clinic for my second ultrasound scan with Dr. Fred Ushakov. He is an excellent specialist — very attentive, explained everything clearly and showed all the details. I felt comfortable and well informed throughout the appointment. I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend him.

Excellent!

I always leave London Pregnancy Clinic in a good mood. The doctors are true experts with decades of experience in obstetrics, and the clinic uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. As an expectant mother, what matters most is feeling looked after — being seen by an attentive specialist, treated with care, receiving a smile and a kind word.

The advanced ultrasound technology allows for comprehensive screening to be done in a single visit — something that can be difficult within NHS due to limited appointment times and older equipment, which inevitably makes expectant mothers anxious.

A huge thank to everyone at the clinic, and especially to Professor Fred Ushakov!

NIPT and Early Fetal Scan - Excellen Service and Experience

My husband and I opted for a scan and NIPT at 10 weeks and another early fetal scan at 16 weeks. Both times the scans were conducted in avery professional manner with state of the art equipment. Both times the appointment lasted about 45-60 min and I really appreciated the patience from both Dr. Diane Nzelu and Ms Karin Meeds in answering all of our questions and concerns as well as explaining everything that was being seen on the screen. Highly recommend.

A Compassionate and Supportive Experience During a Difficult Time

We had our early pregnancy scan at London Pregnancy Clinic with specialist Desi Damyanova, and despite the outcome not being the news we had hoped for, the care we received was exceptional. Desi was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly empathetic throughout the appointment. She took the time to explain everything clearly and treated us with great compassion during a very difficult moment. We are grateful for her professionalism and genuine warmth, which made a challenging experience feel as supported as possible.

Early pregnancy scan

We had an early pregnancy scan at 10.5 weeks and NIPT. We are awaiting our NIPT test results which take a couple of weeks to come back, however the whole experience was great. Fred did the scan and he took time to explain everything, he was fantastic!

Very high standard of quality

I had a 16-week scan with Dr Diane Nzelu and she was absolutely amazing. Walked me through everything in detail and even advised on measures to take based on my history to prevent and monitor growth restriction/issues with placental development. I am so glad I went to see her.

Ultrasound and blood tests

I've had an ultrasound and a blood test at the clinic and both times the team was very thorough, explained everything and was very kind. I saw Karine and Saskia, both were lovely and spent a lot of time with me. Also, the report/results were produced very quickly.

Inadequate Disclosure of Clinical Findings During Early Pregnancy Scan

Second time I used the London pregnancy clinic however the first time their City location.my first experience was at their Clinic in West. I had a thorough appointment then, about an hour. It was my first pregnancy and the Dr. Fully understood how anxious I was. I attended the emergency scan in the city just under a week later based on my first experience at their other clinic, because I was bleeding and deeply anxious. During the examination, I was told that everything appeared fine, despite the gestational sac measuring behind the embryo. Although the report later stated that this was a viable, normally developing pregnancy, I sensed at the time that the sonographer was withholding concerns rather than explaining them.

I miscarried that same evening. While I accept that the miscarriage itself was unavoidable and not the fault of the clinic, the way the information was communicated has left me traumatised. I was not prepared in any way for what happened next and was given reassurance that, in hindsight, was misleading. £140 for an under 30min check up. Would’ve at least take the time to send me back to A&E not tell me “sometimes we need to let the pregnancy run its course” book another appointment in 20 days time. I genuinely left with the feeling that they just want more money out of me to just book another scan when I already spent £280 with them in less than a week.

In such vulnerable circumstances, patients deserve honesty, context, and compassion, even when the information is uncertain or difficult to hear.
You pay the prices because you think you’re dealing with the best in London. Clearly not. I wished I paid more attention to the reviews. I had to chase for the first report as well. After the second scan I did not get details such as what the heartbeat measured. Could’ve prepared myself somewhat.

Reply from London Pregnancy Clinic

Dear Valued Patient,

We are very sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is a distressing and unpredictable event, and we recognise how difficult this experience must have been.

From a clinical standpoint, the scan showed a confirmed heartbeat and findings consistent with a viable early pregnancy at that point in time. A gestational sac measuring slightly behind the embryo at around six weeks, in isolation, is a recognised and common finding and is not scientifically predictive of miscarriage. In these circumstances, recommending a follow-up scan in 10–14 days is standard, evidence-based practice and aligns with accepted clinical guidelines.

Unfortunately, early pregnancy loss can still occur suddenly even after reassuring scan findings. The timing of your miscarriage, while understandably distressing, does not reflect an error or omission during the scan, nor could it have been predicted based on the findings present at the time. There were no clinical findings at the time of the scan that would allow any guideline-following clinician to predict an increased or decreased likelihood of pregnancy loss.

We regret that you felt the communication did not meet your expectations. We can confirm that a member of our midwifery team attempted to contact you to check on your wellbeing and to see how we could further support you. Please contact us on 020 3687 2939 if you would like to speak to our midwife.

Our thoughts remain with you, and we are truly sorry for your loss.

Great experience from booking to scan

The website set out really clearly what services were on offer so I could compare them to other providers and knew which scan to book. All fees were clearly explained up front. The booking process and consent forms worked seamlessly. On the day, staff were courteous, attentive and skilled. We went for a viability scan and the outcome wasn’t what we’d hoped for, but the sonographer and reception staff treated the situation with kindness and professionalism, answered all our questions and gave us impartial advice.

A Truly Reassuring and Professional Service

recently visited the clinic for a 10-week early/anomaly scan, and the experience was exceptional. The consultant, Diane, was absolutely brilliant. She was highly professional and deeply reassuring regarding the viability of the pregnancy. Her demeanor instantly put me at ease throughout the entire appointment. I highly recommend the clinic and specifically Diane for providing such outstanding and comforting care during a crucial time.
