Spectacular Job

They were very friendly and did an amazing job cleaning my sofas in such quick speed too! They were very cautious around my house and they made sure every single corner of dirt. I am extremely happy with the outcome.

Decent Experience

I will speak for my booking and the actual services rendered. The booking was to restore a heavily stained wool carpet. The technician arrived promptly, confirmed the expectations, resolved the issue with staining, and cleaned the carpet itself properly, as previously arranged. I have received excellent service and will use this company again.

Wouldn't Recommend

Technician arrived really late (fair enough the traffic is bad) but then he seemed very rushed like he didn't have time to do a proper job. He came to clean paint dripped up the stairs, but when he said he'd finished a quick glance showed that he hadn't. He'd already packed away and so had to go get his equipment out of the car again, then he packed it all away again and told me it was finished a second time. It still wasn't! He then got what looked like a cold water spray and a metal brush (I didn't say anything because I assumed he knew what he was doing) and tried to scrub any remaining drips out with that rather than get the steamer back out and set up again. He has pulled up the fibres of my new carpet with the brush. He said the carpet was a good one and had another 2-3 years left in it .....it is brand new! I don't think he knows what he was doing. I wouldn't use this company again.

free advice and honest opinion for once!

made an enquiry about dry carpet cleaning they called me back immediately and said that the stains on my jute carpet could not be removed! such a nice change to have an honest opinion - can't make promises they can't keep. Could have arranged a booking and took my money but I got free advice instead. thank you.

Poor cleaning method

Gentlemen, I would very much like to tell you what a wonderful job was done by your (Iranian ) operative this evening on my carpets.
Unfortunately, I cannot do this because I was disappointed by the results !

The man appeared to do his best - but I think he needs to spend a little more time on the job when the results are not very good. In this case the job was done from 16:55 to 18:00 and I paid £130 (as agreed earlier by tel) + a tip.
He was polite and I helped him where possible, and maybe some parts of my carpet could not be properly cleaned.
However, I think that if he heated the water (and I offered him hot water) in his machine it would eventually produce warm steam- like other people use!
Instead of that, it produced a cold mist that did not work very well with the spray product and so the whole treatment was just to wet the carpet and hoover it.
This treatment did not even remove lightly soiled patches of breakfast cereal stains, or even some light earth stains.
There were other more heavily soiled patches that did not respond at all to the "wetting and hoovering" treatment- and I really think your company should try some other methods (or leave this type of business to people who do it better.)

rude and useless and expensive!

I requested for a quote via email and they pretend not to see my question. I was clear in my email explaining what was needed. When the day of the cleaning came I got a call saying the person could not come as he was sick. Then we postponed with the day after...things happened I thought. Then a guy came and only cleaned where I had a small stain and charged me 65£ asking to pay cash (I guess to avoid taxes! FRAUD!). Then I was expecting for him to clean the rest I had requested but he did not and I still paid 65£ and when I had the full house cleaned previously I had paid only 75£! I wrote an email asking why and all I got was arrogant responses blaming me the customer. I should have read all the negative feedback before here. NEVER CONTACT THEM AGAIN! SO RUDE and useless!

Treat me with a court case after they no show up twice for an appointment !!!

They didn't show up twice for an appointment. First time I said: no problem, we can do it the next day, even that it was very inconvenient for me because guests have been arriving at my house. I informed the company several times that I'm leaving for work f 10.30 am so by email they "guaranteed " me the time of arrival 7.30- 8.00 am. So have been waiting from 7.30am ... Someone called me after 10.00 am that... they will be arriving in 20 minutes. I said it is too late because now I'm leaving for work. A few days later they send me a text message asking for a £50 cancellation fee and treating me with a court case if I don't pay!!! After twice not showing up for an appointment!!! Never hear something more ridiculous!!! Avoid this company, even if this will mean you have to wash the carpet by yourself !!! PS. Your answer doesn't make any sense: lie after lie. Nothing justifies treating me with a court case when you didn't show up on time for the appointment ( your cleaner couldn't be outside because he called me and told me at 10.00 am that he will arrive in 20 minutes. This is not 730 or 8.00am ,as promised !!! It wasn't 15 minutes delay: it was 2 hours delay!!!! )And you knew that I have to leave for work at 10.30 am . I didn't want to clean any sofa, just carpet and you have been talking to me over the phone assuring me about the 7.30 am- 8.00 am appointment so it was confirmed day before. Terrible lies, terrible customer service, your answer is another proof of this.I hope everyone will read your lies before ordering any service from you

Thank you Ms Edyta, we've managed to track down your booking with us.

This was a free booking (i.e., no booking fees were charged) marked as high-risk because stains on an upholstery item were flagged by yourself, prior to the cleaning service. So this could only have been done by someone with experience in dealing with stains + cleaning upholstery (it takes about 2-4 years to get the certifications and experience for that).

The first booking was automatically marked as unconfirmed because of two reasons:

1. You could not provide photos of the stains on the sofa: these are mandatory because (as you can see for yourself), some clients expect all the stains to be removed which is factually impossible (and not guaranteed by any provider out there). Especially because sofas are expensive pieces of furniture & there is a high-risk of damaging their fabric, we no longer book & confirm an appointment without, beforehand, seeing photos of the stains.

2. Tuesday evening at 8:38PM (yes, in the evening), you've sent us an email stating: "see you tomorrow morning (at 7:30-8am)".

That made it impossible to organise an appointment at such a short notice, and we had to reschedule it to the following day, with your approval.

On the day of the cleaning service, I do agree with you that we've shown up at 10:20AM (you were still in the property), we did call 25 minutes before arriving (and you confirmed that the arrival time was fine). That was due to fuel shortage which we are still experiencing as of today (we did assign a different technician to the job, though).

You then decided to cancel the appointment whilst the technician was still outside.

So we did show up before you were leaving for work, and we did travel to your address at our own expense (time, fuel, human resources).

If you think that this is appropriate, do get a 3rd party's opinion.

You never got to make use of the best cleaning service in the M25 area, and that is a shame; for obvious reasons, we will no longer be able be able to provide our services to your address.

As you can see for yourself, 90-95% of the 1 star review we have on Trustpilot are because of the late arrival times NOT because of our cleaning services themselves.

This is something to be expected within the Greater London area (because of the traffic between A and B, and because some fabrics take considerably more to clean than others -- and we do not cut corners on our jobs -- which translates to us possibly arriving late at the other appointments).

Yes, there is a cancellation fee if you cancel an appointment less than 24 hours before its agreed time and date. That is standard in the service industry (air travel, hospitality etc.) We did void the cancellation fee and I would like to thank you for showing Trustpilot readers that we do go the extra mile for our clients.

Best wishes,
A Bruner

Poor Service & Unprofessional

I've contacted them for a same day service to clean the carpet in my room, I was charged a bit more due to the urgency. Fine! A guy came didi the job saying the carpet will be dry in mx 4 hours. After 2 days I left the windows open and heating on at night, the carpet was smelling really badly. The carpet never smelled before the cleaning. Contacted them back and they did a second cleaning which hasn't sorted the problem. Asked for a partial refund. Being rejected. Now I can't move into my room due to the awful smell and need to pay someone else to sort the problem out.
They should probably send someone to assess the carpet status and then decide whether to do the job or not.
I can read from the comment they leave on reviews that they're quite rude as well and won't really take responsibility for issues they've caused.
Won't recommend!

Good morning Ms Alison, and thank you for your review.

There is no cleaning service anywhere which guarantees to remove bad odours. This is compounded by the fact that carpets have underlays underneath them, and there is no machine on the worldwide market which can actually clean the underlay of any carpet.

The issue in your case is the smell coming from the underlay: because the carpet is not property fitted, water and moisture have gone underneath the carpet, causing a bad odour in the room.

Give the readers the full picture: we cleaned the carpet in the room on one occasion, you notified us of the bad odour, we tried to revisit *at our own expense* to re-clean it, you said that you were going on a holiday for a month, we tried to organise the revisit with a neighbour, you refused.

We organised the free revisit after you came back from your one-month holiday, we re-cleaned the carpet, and the smell could still not be removed.

It is impossible for any fabric -- once cleaned with washing detergents / chemicals -- to emanate a bad smell. This is because the detergents / chemicals are fully rinsed out from that fabric.

Therefore, the smell must come from the underlay. You will need a carpet fitter for that, not a carpet cleaning service.

Show us one other company in London who revisits to re-clean for free one month after the initial cleaning service.

We went the extra mile and that is still unappreciated.

An amazing job, very happy

Had very heavy staining on my lounge carpet from a previous tenant, that I never thought would be able to get out. London Carpet Cleaning did an amazing job. Highly recommended and a great price too. I was very happy with the service provided.

Unprofessional company who doesn’t value your custom! Find another company!

Have previously had a good experience with this company in the past few years. However this year I requested a quote for exactly the same items I had cleaned last year. I received 3 different prices in the space of 3 days from £345-375!! I then got a patronising email from them when I queried what was clearly their error!!
“ Imagine going to a petrol station to argue with them about their prices: asking them to charge you less than the last time / last year you went there will be absurd.”
Clearly this company is desperate for business and will try and overprice jobs for their returning customers rather than valuing their custom! Go elsewhere, I have found a much more professional and transparent company elsewhere!!!
According to the response from the company I changed my mind about the items I wished to have cleaned, this is an ABSOLUTE LIE! DO NOT TRUST this company!

Hello Mr Vijay,

Thank you for your review.

We normally disregard one star reviews from people who have not yet used our services (in the current scenario, you did not book with us again this year) because they are either fake, written by competitors or they come from people who asked for discounts and did not get what they wanted; however, because you did use our services before, I am taking time to reply to your review.

Firstly, the cleaning service we provided to your address last year was impeccable.

Proof of that is the fact that you came back to us to book with us again.

Now, in your review, you failed to mention that you added then removed different items from the list of items we cleaned last year: that is why the price varied.

You wanted the mattress cleaned, then you changed your mind. So the price went up and down depending on which items needed cleaning. That is only normal.

Secondly, our prices did change from the 6th of April (the beginning of the tax year) based on the Retail Price Index. This is common practice in the UK.

Everything is more expensive than one year ago, this is applicable to every single business.

Lastly, on recurring jobs (clients which we have worked for in the past), we always assign either the same technician(s) or senior, certified technicians. They do the best cleaning possible but it comes at a price. Not an exaggerated price but a decent price.

What you asked us this time is to give you a serious discount.

After a long back and forth, we agreed to clean the same items as last time for the same price.

This did not go well with you, hence you leaving a one-star review.

So what your review is, in fact, is a complaint about us not giving you a further discount from the value of the items cleaned one and a half year ago.

It is not a review of the quality of our workmanship, per se, which, as you have experienced yourself, is second to none.

Any reputable business out there has the benefit of choosing their own customers. We just did that.

You may find my reply as patronising, harsh, rude or any other way you can think of. I consider it to be blunt and factual. We're specialist fabric cleaners not Internet review people, you see.

Besides, an experienced professional will never give you the smallest quote (which you were after) because they know their true worth.

Have a lovely afternoon,

Appalling service

The technician Rumen was due to arrive at my flat between 9-11 however he failed to do so, arriving late. He struggled to find my apartment, even though it is clearly signed. After eventually finding the apartment block, he could not operate the lift, even though instructions on how to operate it and contact my flat are clearly visible. I called him 15 times but was not able to reach him as there was a problem with his phone and every time I called it said user busy. The concierge was extremely helpful, directing him to nearby available parking and even going up to the fourth floor to let me know Rumen was downstairs, however when I came down he had stormed off in a rage and left the premises. The company were extremely unhelpful following this, failing to apologise and simply offering another slot at 2-4. I was not available then and had been waiting at the flat since 9am for a technician to arrive. This was a complete waste of my time and an example of appalling customer service.

Hello Mr Gosnell,

Thank you for your review.

We are specialist fabric cleaners: this is what we provide to our special clients.

I can see from your review that we never got to actually clean your carpets. This is a shame because fabric cleaning is our best service.

So this is more a complaint about the problems we've encountered with access to your property (parking availability and lift access for our equipment).

I have checked with the technician assigned to this job: the concierge asked him to move his van from the premises and refused to give him a parking bay to park.

We've kept you updated by phone on the day, and we never charged any fee for the travel time and the time it took to try to settle the argument with the concierge.

Access to a parking space and a lift, if needed, is something which has to be organised prior to the cleaning service itself, you see.

The reason behind it is that a parking ticket alone is £65 some of the jobs we do fall into the £55-65 range, so parking availability is something which needs to be ironed out prior to booking any service with us (or with any other company working in very busy London areas).

I apologise for the mishap.

If you need a cleaning service from our company, please ensure that a parking space will be available at your property. We never park in an unauthorised parking space and had to cancel jobs because no parking space was available on the premises.

Have an excellent afternoon,

They should know better

They should know:
- If a stain can be cleaned
- What the material is they are cleaning so as to not damage it

It seems this company did not know and as such wasted a lot of money without the desired result

Hello Mr Sam,

Thank you for your review, and apologies for the late reply (we just confirmed our account with Trustpilot one hour ago).

We know all the fabrics there are to be cleaned, how to clean them what to expect from the cleaning service.

Sadly, especially on wool or dry clean only fabrics, some stains are permanent.

There is nothing versatile enough to remove all types of stains from any type of fabric out there.

What makes the difference between an amateur and senior fabric cleaner is that the latter will never further damage the fabric which he has to work on.

This is what happened in your case: we did not further damage the fabric; however, the stains were permanent.

We offered to give you a full refund if you managed to find someone else to fully remove the stains, that did not happen.

As a result, we now ask all our clients to send us photos of the stains prior to booking any jobs with us.

Let me know if you have further queries.

Much appreciated,
Mark Bruner
