The house is simply perfect and the grounds are stunning! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The bedrooms are beautiful (all with en-suite bathrooms) and the focal point of the house is the gorgeous living room (with a fireplace). Everything worked so well and the house is lovely and warm even in the cold winter nights. Although the house is in a rural area (and renting a car is a great idea!), there are a few good, local private car hire services that are easy to book and use. A special mention to Hannah (property manager) - all communication with her was easy, fast and smooth. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Lochieheads! We had the best time celebrating my 50th with friends. Can’t wait to come back!

This is a beautiful house with all modern amenities but still keeping that old world charm. Plenty of space for a great family gathering without feeling on top of each other. Wonderful real log burning fire great for the winter evenings.

The MOST beautiful house I think I've ever seen, in the most stunning scenery. I can't explain how blown away we were with the facilities, cleanliness and the grand, yet homey feel of our accommodation. The kitchen and Skene room were just, *chef's kiss*. Our wonderful host was so amazing and so accommodating throughout the whole process, online and in person. We stumbled upon this for a family getaway in Fife, to see and explore St Andrews and the East Neuk and we even made it to Edinburgh. It's the perfect distance for both! It really was a slice of heaven and just what the doctor ordered! Thank you so much Lochieheads, we can't wait to come back!

I had a very bad experience with Lochiehead House. I was considering getting married at a nearby spot which they advertise on their website as a partner wedding venue. I spoke with the host on the phone in considering both venues and was offered a show around of the house. I explained that I would spend Saturday getting married at the other venue and Sunday having a brunch/BBQ for my guests at Lochieheads House, I was told I was welcome to do so. I asked the host reserve the house for me while I paid the wedding venue- she refused. Upon paying the deposit for the wedding venue I immediately visited Lochieheads house website to reserve and pay the deposit- I was asked to give the name, specific age and gender (M/F) of each of my guests which I was unable to do, having not confirmed them yet; I also felt this was highly intrusive. The website wouldn’t take my payment without this information. The next morning at 10am i phoned the host to ask how to proceed- no reply. I called again at 16.00 when I was told to ‘make the information up.’ By 18.00 I had done this, I pressed to proceed on the website and in that time the host had received an enquiry from another party on another website and she had chosen to accept this booking, despite having 24 hours to consider it, knowing that I had by this point paid for the wedding venue. This was incredibly frustrating, disappointing and deeply unfair. I have received no explanation for why the host did this.

House was absolutely incredible, Hannah made us feel extremely welcome and place had everything and more for our weekend, can’t wait to visit again, highly recommend!

Stayed for a weekend with a family of 11. House was beautiful and faultless. Each room better than the last. Great location and perfect for family gathering. We will be back.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. Perfect space for a large celebration. Every bedroom with en suite all beautifully decorated. Great living space for everyone to relax and enjoy the weekend. We had a private chef cater for us and the house was perfect for it. Every member of our group commented how perfect the house was. Hannah was always available and attentive to resolve with any small issues we may have had. ‘A great find’ was said over and over, we will all be looking to visit again in the near future.

Just home from our first visit to this beautiful home with the family celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. Every detail has been so thoughtfully thought through. From meeting the owner who was just lovely, to the beautiful surroundings, this has honestly been a weekend I will never forget. Great memories made, lots of laughter and cannot wait to return. X

This was our 4th visit to Lochieheads and as usual did not disappoint. Highly recommend this property.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay here in September. The rooms are all decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard and it really felt like you were staying in a luxury hotel rather than a rental house. We were a family group of mixed ages from 16 to 80s and it was perfect with space for everyone to relax or socialise. The games room and bar room were a bit hit, as was the cozy log stove and fabulous kitchen. The fact each bedroom was en-suite was also a big plus for us and the outside space and gardens were really special. We really hope to come back again soon!

From start to finish we had a superb experience at Lochieheads. The restoration of the property has been finished to a very high standard, the house is spacious, extremely clean and comfortable and perfect for a large family or a group of friends. Outside, the gardens are well kept and provide a peaceful setting in order to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. Hannah was great to work with and we highly recommend this property.

It was our 2nd time having the privilege of staying at Lochieheads. What a beautiful property with absolutely everything you need, and more, for a break away.
Was also the 3rd time having “Raymond Millar Catering Fife” treating us to outstanding food, a real restaurant experience in this beautiful property.
Overall, a top weekend… we’re already looking at dates for the next visit.

Our stay at Lochieheads House was wonderful. Hannah made everything simple for us. Every room was beautifully presented, spacious and warm. The gardens are beautiful and the views fabulous. Plenty of logs for the fire, great selections of glassware and crockery. Kitchen is a good size to cook for 12. We are very thankful we were able to stay here to celebrate a special occasion.

Had a lovely stay at Lochiehead with a group of friends. Total luxury around every corner. The house is stunning, with beautiful furnishings and every home comfort you could wish for. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms very comfortable and the lounge was just perfect for a get-together. Lovely views from every window, we spotted squirrels and pheasants! Fabulous stay begining to end, highly recommend.

A stunning house. Every room a luxury; beautifully decorated and comfortable. The space, inside and out is amazing and was great for our family get together.

Everything was great for our meeting yesterday. All really enjoyed the day and the lovely venue. Hannah’s help was much appreciated. We would definitely want to return again another time.

The Owners are so helpful. I hosted a woman's health and wellness retreat here and it was perfect ! My Ladies loved it .
My husband hosted his men's retreat here on a different occasion and spoke so highly of it too.

As soon as you drive through the gates you are transported into luxury and connected to nature. The setting and grounds are so healing and tranquil . The house has everything you need and is 5 star. I cant recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back .
