I was supposed to return car at 2pm but…
I was supposed to return car at 2pm but office was closed. I had to drive back to the hotel and returned a few hours later. They charged me the extra day.
It took two hours to check the car out. 25 people in line and two agents.

Should we use Cocauto again?
Check in and check out procedures at Locauto Pisa airport are straightforward. But a few problems happened. Engine oil signal lit up. Very worrying whilst driving on autostrada. Called Cocauto who told us to ignore the error as this was a common problem for VW cars! The next day, the second error message came up on dashboard that the rear tyre was low on tyre pressure. Checked tyre pressure at 3 petrol stations within 2 hours and very concerned. Called Cocauto who told us to drive from Maranello to Florence to replace car. Ridiculous! Hotel concierge called them on our behalf. We were then told to drive to Modena instead. We went the next morning. But due to lack of communication, Modena office did not know we were coming and had no replacement car for us. We were offered a car used by their mechanic which was very dirty inside and outside. It was so dirty that it was impossible to verify the car’s condition. We then waited for another hour for the car to be washed and valeted. We lost the whole morning which delayed our schedule, not to mention time wasted on phone calls, checking tyre pressure, anxiety and uncertainty. But staff at Modena office was very apologetic.
