Do not join this app unless you are…

Do not join this app unless you are happy for your personal information to now be on Google. Unprofessional and do not respond to your emails when I informed them that this a huge privacy leak which has been incredibly unsettling. Despite reaching out I have not had a response they do not safeguard customers data. AVOID!!!

Don't listen to all the haters here on…

Don't listen to all the haters here on the reviews. They seem suspect. Perhaps paid to leave horrible reviews. Locals has been around for awhile and has a lot of popular vloggers using it. Locals is a decent app. It's one thing to leave a negative review, but some of the long winded complaints from seriously emotionally or mentally warped people who have taken an app personally is ridiculous. Nothing wrong with locals. It's great to have different alternatives. Last thing society needs or wants is monopolies and only one way of doing things.

A Promising Concept Marred by Poor Execution

I recently purchased and tried out the Local.org app with high hopes, only to be met with disappointment. While the concept behind the app seemed promising, its execution left much to be desired.

Upon opening the app, I found the user interface to be cluttered and confusing, making navigation a frustrating experience. It was challenging to find my way around and locate the features I was interested in.

One of the major drawbacks I encountered was the limited availability of activities and events. Unfortunately, the app failed to communicate beforehand that its offerings were exclusive to Los Angeles. This lack of transparency was disheartening, as it severely limited the usefulness of the app for users outside the LA area.

To my dismay, the app restricted access to its features behind a paywall. Users are required to subscribe to a weekly plan priced at an exorbitant $9.99. Such a high cost for a subscription is unreasonable, especially considering the app's underwhelming performance and limited content. It's important for apps to provide a fair and balanced pricing structure that aligns with the value they offer.

While I understand the vision Local.org aimed to achieve, it's evident that the execution fell short. The app's messy interface, regional limitations, and high subscription fee make it difficult to recommend. It would greatly benefit from significant improvements in usability, content availability, and pricing structure to provide a more satisfying user experience.

Overall, my experience with Local.org was disappointing. I hope the developers take user feedback into account and work towards enhancing the app's functionality and value in the future.

Complaint

People fromLocals apparently threw a party in my neighbourhood in Notting Hill, as I realized when I went to the pub and spoke with one of the guys there. The music was unreasonably loud for such a neighbourhood until maybe midnight keeping my family wake. It's not a %%%%% club and you guys better respect the local community when you show up here.

Locals.org is a greedy app using charities entities for their own good,

After joining the app locals.org, I’ve noticed, you have to bid in order to be able to join an experience, (even like that you can get rejected if you are not good enough’) the bid goes from minimum £5 and max £££££, money that is meant to be donated to the chosen charity, BUT I heard at one of the experiences that LOCALS.ORG app keeps 50% of the donations!
Shocked to hear as a charitable app wouldn’t be allowed since they suck your blood masking their GREEDINESS promoting “it’s for a good cause to help charities” bla bla bla.. when they keep the money?
Angie Locals organiser clearly stated on Instagram that all profits go to the chosen charity, come out clear locals.org or are you just deceiving everyone with your lies’!

This app has elevated my life

This app has elevated my life. Big cities can be such lonley places despite so many people! Unlike other event/meet up apps, which often felt shallow or empty, I truly feel welcomed and part of a community at Locals events. The friends I've met are meaningful and lasting. The culture of acceptance, love and belonging is evident in all those warm souls who join the events. I highly recommend you join for one and see how many amazing experiences and people you can meet. From intimate 1 on 1s to big group events, exclusive art clubs to beekeeping and tree hugging - I've had so many enriching memories.

Great place to meet new people

Locals is a great place to meet new people and try new experiences. Lots of things that you would never do on your own! :) like trying new foods, playing different games, parties - there is so much choice that I believe everyone would find what they like. Recommend to download it and check it it, won’t regret 🤍

I recently moved to London

I recently moved to London. I knew no one. I joined Locals as I had seen it on social media, and the guys in the videos and posts looked like they were having fun. I was looking for local people to show me around and I hoped to find people interested in "fashion" and "tech". I have seen a lot of posts online talking about the Russian look and feel of the app but TBH I have found this not to be true. The Russian community is one of many communities on the platform. It is actually nice to see people finding their kinds of people in one place. I too have made some really good connections with people who share my interests and passions and this weekend we are going to see a new designer in a fashion show they are putting on. I think without Locals integrating into a new city would have taken me much longer so I am thrilled to have found this app and hope it grows into other areas too.
