I need a leaking gutter repaired. I'm happy to provide a photo in "extra information" but cannot because the form demands that I provide number of bedrooms! This is just data collection - presumably for resale. I am not prepared to co-operate in this.
I've received explanation but a 3 bedroom bungalow will be the same as as a 3 bed house? Number of storeys better and possibly more accurate I think.

I got their technician to fix and clean my upper gutter let alone I recommended him to clean our neighbour gutter.
H e receive £230 from me and £80 from neighbour yet he could not fixed the displaced joint of my gutter and left the gutter of my neighbour with a displace,dislocated and opened the main gutter hole draining joint !
I called him and left a photo of the our neighbour displaced opened gutter hole draining joint to fix it but never replied made me embarrassed with my neighbour.

Further to the preceding response from Local Quotes, I fail to see why your selection process, which clearly is not watertight, should become my problem.
As your website states, you approve and vet tradespeople and you should, therefore, take some, if not all, responsibility for their actions instead of passing the buck to a customer who has been ripped off by them to sort out.
I have already asked the question which you have not addressed in connection to if things go wrong if a customer is on their own as you clearly consider it your right to wash your hands off them after being the root cause of such situations.
Why are you not taking this matter more seriously than you are when this company not only sent out an unqualified person to carry out the work but he was also a liar and a crook who has hold of £350 of my money that should be in my possession - not his!
The work he carried out amounted to NOTHING and needs to be redone and yet he is justifying retaining it because he considers the journey he had to make to my property warrants it.
Totally and utterly disgustingly shocking and your company should be ashamed of itself for what is amounting to a filthy, stinking attitude.

I needed work done on a flat roof but the company that was recommended by Local Quotes, J & D Home Improvement, sent out a person, David Douglas, who was in no way qualified in the building trade if his work was anything to go by.
After a battle with the company who kept bouncing me back to David, I was reimbursed £1000.00 but I have since discovered that the work he carried out was NEVER going to address the issue unless the job was started from scratch instead of layer upon layer of topcoat being applied which he should have known if he was in any way experienced in this field of work.
I have been attempting to recover the £350.00 balance that David Douglas refuses to pay me and justifying the reason as being that he had travelled from Bristol to my property in South Wales even though it has amounted to absolutely nothing and I now have to pay another trader to rectify his appallingly dodgy work.
J & D Home Improvements should take responsibility for shamelessly taking on someone on the strength of his being related to someone in management in the company without caring about the bad name he is giving them by his rude, nasty, dishonest and offensive behaviour which also resulted in my having to clean up after him when he left my property trashed.
The website categorically states that they pride themselves in traders that tidy up after themselves which could not be further from the truth in my case.

I was very pleased with the service I had quite a few answers to my request the person I picked was the first I spoke to and I was pleased with the job he did.
I did find the website rather difficult to use but then I’m in my 80s and not very technical. But other than that would recommend.

James and Tom from Premier Rooflines were such a hardworking pair. Nothing was too much trouble. Great advice and experience from both. Excellent customer service liasing pre and post work.Excellent work completed on house and garage roofs, replaced all soffit boards and drain pipes around the property. All looks great!! Even received enquiries from other neighbours requiring work to their properties.

Wanted quotes for roof repair takes you to a download where you end up subscribing without knowing in my case to comedy box at £49.00 per month .

Absolute disgrace do not touch with a barge pole unless you want to be scammed .

To provide clarity of my experience, when using this site it appears they allow ads to appear within their website. This can cause confusion leading you to clicking on what appears to be related to getting your quotes when in fact I ended up subscribing to a site which charged £49 a month unless I cancelled within a day.

In response to your reply we asked for a quote all good to here, then an advert overlay which we didn’t realise at the time appeared and all it said your download is ready . I have the screenshot of this.You think you are downloading the quotes and asks for Apple Pay verification at £0.00 then on the next screen it said thanks for subscribing to comedy box at £49.00 per month. Luckily I spotted this and cancelled before being charged.
I however ended up speaking to my bank to ensure that no payment is taken .

Total lie !!! I never carry out ANY surveys or subscribe to these types of businesses I’ve been trading for nearly 2 decades and know about scams etc

Excellent service. After recent winter storms I had a problem with roof and it was leaking in one of the upstairs bedrooms. After submitting a form on their website, I had local roofer up on the roof and checking it out within few hours. All sorted too now. I can highly recommend.
