We had our heat pump installed by Lloyd and his team last year, and we couldn’t be happier with the installation and how well it all works.
Lloyd's heat loss survey has proven to be spot on, keeping us very warm even in minus temperatures outside. He was really helpful advising what size radiators we'd require and patient with us whilst we were indecisive about which style we wanted.
Lloyd took the time to clearly explain the system, making sure we understood how it would work in our home and what to expect. The installation itself was carried out efficiently and with great attention to detail, and it was clear that he takes real pride in his work.
Since the installation, the system has been working brilliantly, and we’re really pleased with the performance.

We are very happy with our heat pump. We were lovely and warm even when the temperatures dropped well below freezing. It is so quiet and you can hardly hear it, even when stood next to it when operating in freezing temperatures.

It’s now been a year since Lloyd installed our heat pump, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. As a building services engineer, I had a clear idea of what I wanted from the system. From the initial survey onward, Lloyd and the Heat Geek software were excellent—dialling in room temperatures, agreeing on a system without hydraulic separation, and planning how to approach radiator replacements.
The installation itself was completed to a very high standard, and the system has performed flawlessly ever since. The house has been consistently comfortable, and the setup has been completely “fit and forget.” With our solar panels, battery storage, and an off‑peak tariff, we’ve also managed to significantly reduce our energy spend.
Our guaranteed COP from Heat Geek was 3.8, but after a year of operation we’ve achieved an impressive 4.8.
Overall, we’re extremely happy with our choice and the quality of the installation.

Lloyd came around to do a heat loss survey though Heat geeks. I found him to be very professional, and we discussed our options for a heat pump and water cylinder.
After agreeing to his suggestion where the water cylinder could go which was quite a tight space . I agree the price and a few weeks later thay installed a vaillant 7kw heat pump and a 210lt tank, the work took 4 days. As the water cylinder was going where the boiler was we had no central heat but thay brought heaters due to the fitting been in January.
Now the heat pump has been running for one month i am very pleased with the house been at a constant 20 degrees and over the month I have an average SCOP of 5.41 in January/February according to the my vaillant app.
We are very pleased with this performance and would have no hesitation in recommending Lloyd gas and renewable.

I had an ASHP installed just before Christmas. From the first phone call all the way through the survey, installation and commissioning Lloyd and the team were professional and always willing to answer my questions.

The installation was done to a high standard and Lloyd also provided follow up support after the job had been completed which really helped me to get used to the new way of heating the house.

As replacing a gas heating system with a heat pump felt like a big step, the extra reassurance that Lloyd is part of Heat Geeks was definitely a factor in choosing a supplier.

I cannot overstate what an excellent service Lloyd and his team provide. Over the last 18 months we have fully renovated our 250 year old stone cottage. We brought Lloyd on board early on in the project to provide advice about how we could best improve the heat and efficiency of our property, and his knowledge and experience has been in invaluable. My husband was really keen to have a ASHP, but I was sceptical about how well it would work in such an old property, especially given that we didn’t want to over-insulate and reduce its breathability.
Lloyd was honest and practical about what we could achieve, carried out heat loss calculations specific to each individual room, and gave us clear instructions on how we needed to upgrade our radiators and underfloor heating in order for it to be effective. With Lloyd’s expertise, our house is evidence that an ASHP can still work well in old properties.
Our heating bills have halved (if not more). The house is comfortable and warm all day and night (which after an inefficient gas boiler is a novelty!)
The team came in several stages to install the system, and were professional and helpful at every stage. It was a tricky project as access was difficult and tight, but the plumbing is precision perfect - it is clear the pride the team take in their work.
Lloyd was contactable at every stage to answer any queries we had.
The aftercare is second-to-none. Lloyd monitors the system remotely, and notified us of a possible pressure issue (which we were not aware of). After monitoring for several more weeks, the team then arrived (free of charge) and checked the entire system from top-to-bottom to ensure there were no leaks (which of course there was not) and then to make an adjustment, which solved the issue.

If you are going to install an ASHP, it’s important you use an expert. This is not a job for a standard plumber or boiler engineer. It needs to be properly and individually specified. Look no further than Lloyd and his team.

Tops marks all round

From the initial heat loss assessment, Lloyd was brilliant, really took his time to get things right and clearly knows his stuff. He explained everything in a way that made sense, and even suggested some extra third-party testing (blower door test) to help us get a more accurate picture on how air tight the house was. Thanks to that, we ended up with a smaller (and cheaper!) 7kW Vaillant unit for our Victorian 3-bed semi, plus a couple of radiator swaps.

It was one of their first Heat Geek Zero Disrupt installs, which meant minimal disruption to the house and no compromise on quality. The heat loss assessment was free, and the install cost less than replacing our old gas boiler, especially with the BUS grant. Total no-brainer.

Communication was great throughout the couple of months leading up to the install. Ryan and Leo arrived bang on time, were super respectful of the property, and clearly took pride in their work. We only had one day without heating and hot water, which was a bonus.

After everything was connected, Lloyd came back to commission the system, checked all the flows, pressures, temps, and took the time to show me how to use it properly. Nice touch.

It’s been a couple of weeks and so far, really happy. The team were exceptional, friendly, tidy, and clearly proud of what they do. Still waiting for colder weather to fully test the system, but I’d recommend them to anyone thinking about getting a heat pump.

Very happy to recommend Lloyd and Ryan. They installed a heat pump and underfloor heating downstairs while completely replacing our heating system, and everything is working great so far. We were only without hot water for two days and they were very accommodating with us living in the house at the same time, and happy to talk through what they were doing which was reassuring given it was quite a big job. The end result was very neat as well.

I can only encourage everyone to use Lloyd he I a very pleasant and knowledgeable, my heat source pump was installed in 5 days and with the exception of a faulty heat sensor it was a very successful installation

Lloyd kept reviewing the COP remotely and I have a COP of approx 4.9 since installation

Lloyd installed our Vaillant hp and ufh system September last year so we have had a full winter with the system now. Everything is working fine. Would certainly recommend Lloyd, he was really good to deal with always contactable and cares about his installs performance after commissioning. Will be asking Lloyd back for future works.

We live in Greater Manchester and Lloyd successfully installed a 3.5kW Valliant Arotherm plus Heat Pump in our three bedroom detached house (built 1991, 88m2 floor area) without having to upgrade the existing underfloor 15mm pipework and 10mm microbore to the radiators. With an outdoor temperature of 3°C, we are getting a COP of around 4.5 which is excellent. The radiators were sized particularly well using a 45°C design flow temp and Lloyd was able to keep some of the existing towel radiators. We found Lloyd through Heat Geek. His heat loss estimate was more confident than the other estimates we obtained. This allowed for correct sizing of the Heat Pump without uncessary pipework upgrades or resorting to a less efficient 50°C flow temp. The installation looks really smart and professional and it's working as well as I could have hoped for.
