Scam

Scam. Sends official-looking mail but read all the fine print. Technically legal, I'm guessing, but misleading and dishonest.

I received a bill in the mail from LLC Comps

I received a bill in the mail from LLCcomps.org demanding $104 for a labor and law poster, which I found unusual because I had never been sent a bill like this before. It turns out to be a scam, and they use tactics like threatening hefty fines. If you read the "bill" they send you, it even states they are a non-government agency. Be aware of these scams! I almost fell for it as I'm a new LLC owner!

Scam, labor law posters are free

The NC Secretary of State website warns of scammers targeting new LLCs. Only 3 days after my approval, I received a demanding fake notice from this "company," claiming that I need to immediately send them a $104 "processing fee," for labor law signs that A) my business is NOT required to have and B) I could get for free if I did need them. I wish a zero star rating could be given, but you have to select at least one star and I want to be sure that people continue to have access to accurate information.

Scam company

They send in an official letter almost immediately after I filled an LLC. Asking me to pay 100 dollars to pay for posters that are completely free. Ignore these people. It's a nationwide scheme.

Total scam

Total scam. I created a new LLC and within a week they sent me a very official letter stating I need to get a Labor Law Compliance poster and wanted $108.

These posters are FREE.

The letter has a Denver address of an office building but no unit number.

They want the check sent to a Florida post office. I see that it is post paid so I am sending them back an empty envelope.

This company preys on new business…

This company preys on new business owners who are just starting off. This is not a legitimate company. Beware that they will send you a letter with legal jargon, making you believe that you will be fined thousands of dollars if you do not buy their product. I found out too late that it is a scam.

SCAM company

Unbelievable. They sent me what looks like a government bill. They want you to pay $98 for a poster you can print out for free or at Kinko's for $10. Scare tactics saying you could be fined up to $7,000 for noncompliance.

Then the fine-print at the bottom says that LLCS is a non-government entity, and "this service has not been approved or endorsed by any agency of government. This offer serves as a solication and not intended to be a bill due."

And the best part, they say themselves that these panels or posters are available from the government free of charge! Then why are you charging $98 for it?

It bugs me that this company owner is likely making money off something so dishonest.

Total scam

Total scam. They send you what looks like a very convincing bill for $98 stating you need to post current compliant labor law posters in your workplace (which can be true) or risk a fine of up to $7K. You can download them from the labor department for free. Don’t fall for it!
