I cancelled their subscription and they still took my money. Don't trust them! They are hopeless!!!!

After uninstalling their products, my system has been infested with thousands of residual entries, junk alphanumeric IDs, and ghost context menu commands that degrade the performance and integrity of my Windows Registry.

This is not a programming error; it is a deliberate parasitic strategy. Their uninstaller is a hollow shell—a technical mockery that removes absolutely nothing, forcing the user to perform hours of manual surgery in the Registry Editor to excise a "plague" that sows itself invasively into every corner of the system.

Escalation Notice: Since this software acts like a Trojan horse that refuses to leave the machine, I am currently collecting all technical evidence to formally contact the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and EU technological regulatory agencies. I demand an audit on how CyberLink hijacks system resources and why they are permitted to operate in European territory using these malware-like practices.

FINAL WARNING: If you value the health of your hardware and your time, DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING from CyberLink. It is a digital cancer that trashes the registry, and its removal is a technical nightmare. It is a total lack of respect for the consumer and a disgrace to the software industry.

Es ist absolut untragbar, dass ein Unternehmen, das sich selbst als „professionell“ bezeichnet, mit der Ethik eines Malware-Entwicklers arbeitet. Nach der Deinstallation ihrer Produkte wurde mein System von tausenden von Rest-Einträgen, alphanumerischem Müll und Geisterbefehlen im Kontextmenü befallen, welche die Leistung und Integrität meiner Windows-Registrierung massiv beeinträchtigen.

Dies ist kein Programmierfehler, sondern eine vorsätzliche parasitäre Strategie. Das Deinstallationsprogramm ist eine leere Hülle – ein technischer Hohn, der absolut nichts entfernt und den Benutzer dazu zwingt, stundenlange manuelle Eingriffe im Registrierungseditor vorzunehmen, um eine „Plage“ auszurotten, die sich invasiv in jeden Winkel des Systems einnistet.

Hinweis zur Eskalation: Da diese Software wie ein Trojanisches Pferd agiert, das sich weigert, den Rechner zu verlassen, sammle ich derzeit alle technischen Beweise, um den Europäischen Datenschutzbeauftragten (EDSB) und die technologischen Regulierungsbehörden der EU formell zu kontaktieren. Vaguely useful AI tools now hidden behind a paywall - needed to run them 5-10x to get a decent output so this is ridiculous.

I upgraded to Cyberlink powerdirector 365 from using powerdirector 20 which is old now.... So then.. what's been happening in those many years? because this program is VERY glitchy if you want to make a clip that's over 40 seconds long, you will have to redo a lot ofthings because it will crash.
FYI I have a very capable RTX graphics card and 32Gb of RAM.
and the updates that HAVE been implemented are VERY minimal, the main bugs are still around and some more bugs to go with them. Program depends heavily on added AI features. Save your money.. I bought a year subscription to this RUBBISH.

I recently purchased a new Blu ray / MDisc burner, 100Gb capacity. It came with Cyberlink Power2Go (OEM) included. Normally when software is included with a peripheral, it is meant to work.

I was eager to try out the 100GB disks. Once I installed the software from what I remember last summer, it looked ok. I have since changed monitors and have a large screen high resolution now. When I open the software the fonts and menus are so small i cannot see them. It is nearly impossible to use!!

There are some work arounds, I tried them, such as Over-ride DPI (or something) and there are different combinations you can select when you right click on the program and select properties. These did absolutely nothing. I tried using a lower resolution and was prompted by the software "Power2Go will not function in this resoution and this DPI setting".

Apparently, someone thought it was a good idea to have some default settings built in that conflict or disobey the windows settings for fonts, and absolutely not workable way to change them. Windows has removed the option to individually control program font sizes, so this is not an option. Its all or nothing.

The wonders of technology and the advances that it brings!!

Using Windows magnifiier I was able to attept to setup a disk to write. The problem is I have 100GB Mdisc XL media and in the software it only allows me to burn blue ray disks (with a maximum 25GB). This is not what I paid for!!

The simple and easy fix to this was to open up my old copy of Ashampoo burning suite (FREE) which lets me burn any kind of disk I want. It is easy to use, intuitive and hassle free. Mischief managed.

My experience, and I have a lot of it, with software is OEM and commercial are usually pretty close in function. I am very glad I did not buy this, but at the same time it would be nice if it worked because in a way I did buy it.

Purchased the software on Amazon. Enter the product key to download and product key INVALID. Contacted the customer service at Cyberlink and they couldn't fix the problem / issue that is going on for DAYS. Therefore I sent it back. Very disappointed and unhappy with Cyberlink. Will go with someone else.

I've been using cyberlibnk powerdirector for three years. The product is okay, but when it glitches and you need to contact support - THERE ARE NO EMAILS THEY MAKE AVAILABLE TO FIX THE BROKEN VIDEO MAKER so frustrating. The last glitch out I got a message from the software saying " ooh sorry something went wrong please send a report and we'll try to do better" type of thing. Sent it. That was three days agp and nothing. All contact emails are directed toward marketing and sales and goading you into buying another product. Useless

Just paid for the latest Power Director app. Totally frustrating, not user friendly and missing very useful features which were previously there. It has been a total waste of my time and money. Will not renew subscription. Very poor, do not use

As everyone else states, this company is maddening and unethical. Customer support ABSOLUTELY SUCKS AND IS USELESS! Products are sub-par given the technology today. Even after I cancelled my annual subscription, they charged me anyway and now, even though they tell me I qualify for a refund, they are doing anything and everything to make the refund process impossible. Every time they give me a hoop to jump through, I jump through it, but that only leads to another hoop. I still have not received acknowledgement of my refund .

I have cyperlink 365. Sucks.
Did work in many years. But now the update makes it crash. Did reinstall old updates, did fix it, but it crashes too now. Stay away from this. Waist of time and more time

Waste of Time again! All updates are confusing and their instructions are also confusing. I'm updating my review to help others not get fooled into purchasing a subscription here. PowerDirector and PhotoDirector are NOT beginner user friendly. I'm a year and a half in and have wasted so much time and money on this software.

I want a full refund 😕 I tried exporting 3 minutes and 26 seconds video of mine, and it would reach 99% and then kick me out. No update was needed. I tried 8 times and said forget it and went to Tiktok. I shortened my video and added the yellow auto caption and never received it. Something is wrong with the app. It'll show try this but still charge you. This is ridiculous 😒 . Any AI you have to pay for, you're not allowed to try it like the app claims.

I’ve already attempted to obtain a refund through Google for the PowerDirector app, but unfortunately, they have declined the request. As a result, I kindly ask that you process the refund directly on your end.

Developer was suppose to give me my refund and turn around and lied by not giving me my refund.

This is a total scam website. MyEdit is one of their products. It claimed to be AI photo generator. However, it simply plug your head onto the clothing and claim that it is the AI generated picture. Worst experience ever, do not waste your money!!!

Most business, when you sign up to subscription based goods and services, notify you in advance, when the annual subscription is about to be taken/renewed.

Not Cyberlink, they openly admit they don't contact you in advance. This is clearly because they want to fleece you, and catch out the customer.

Secondly they introduce features, part way through your subscription and advise you now have to pay for it (ie subtitles). Most businesses would commence a charge for a feature when you renew your subscription, but no, not Cyebrlink.

Not very transparent, customer focused or long term business oriented.

You can see from the ratings on here, it is very consistent regarding support (or lack of) and customer focus - will be moving to another supplier going forward and already have the end date of my subscription in my diary

Cyberlink used to knock out some pretty good software back in the days you know the days when you bought something like power director and it was the full package with a lifetime serial number that didn't need a constant internet connection so you have it for life, well I thought I would upgrade my old power director as it's quite old now and liking the look of PD360 with it's Ai stuff, well little did I know that everything available on cyberlink is subscription based now, are they having a laugh or what? By the time you add up all the addons etc to give you the full package of 360 it comes to quite a hefty monthly amount oh and needs a constant internet connection to use some features, what are people like me who don't use this software that much maybe 3 or 4 times a year for family videos and pics I would effectively be paying for something I don't use most of the year.... NO! I would rather stick to my old FULL version, I'm getting flipping fed up with the subscription nonsense on everything now it's nothing but a money grab.

Playing a DVD is a small disaster with Power DVD. All kinds of unwanted previews show up and I can't find an option to start the main movie.

I bought PD 7 and later PD 13 ultra for long life use. So 2x a full amount. I take a look in my programm PD13 for updates. push on the button in the toolbar. or there are in the mean time updates of my PD 13. I went automaticly on an automatic page of PD 365. No button spacially for my PD 13. Only pd 365. So I try out for the PD 365 for free. I Thougt, maybe is instead of PD 13. But then I wanted to produce a video edit. Then the message came that a watermark would be placed in the video. The connection of my livetime software (PD13) was not connected. Nowhere a solution within the program PD 365. ( my boughted lifetime products are free of waterbrands) Sent an email message 2x to know how so;ute this problem. I received a ticket number. No response from the gentlemen in Thailand. So out of necessity back to my old PD13 on my pc.. But it no longer worked after trying that PD 365. Not even via the "aplication manager" which kept indicating that it is 'currently not possible' to download my purchased product for life time. A pure financial hostage-taking of these scammers. Sending you around all the time and trying to sell you a subscription. New buyers of PD 365 be warned. Don't do it. You'll be walking into a trap.
