Just a mouth piece for woke agenda. They have removed comments from most articles because the readers constantly disagree with their agenda. To be honest, the comments were the only appeal as the articles are poorly edited with more ads than words.

Doesnt like free speech. Purely driven by an agenda, typical MSM. If it doesnt fit their narrative the just deactivate the comment. Id avoid like the plague

I have endeavoured to get something done about 2 Grot Spots in Liverpool now since 2019. To no avail. No.1 Grot Spot is the Moorfields entrance to the train system. It is a disgusting bio hazard area, overgrown weeds, dirty escalators, perspex canopy is broken festooned with weeds and goodness knows what else. It beggars belief that Liverpool City Council et al have not thought to clean up this area ahead of Eurovision. The eyes of the world will be on our Fab city and we are showing them our bad face!
it doesn't stop there either!
Grot Spot no.2 is the disgusting state of the railway embankments. Again, I have endeavoured to get Merseyrail to clean them up but to no avail. The environment is overgrown, full of discarded rubbish and what a face it presents to any visitor never mind Eurovision visitors. Its such a shame the powers that be, couldn't even spruce these 2 areas before the King & Queen paid a visit to Liverpool. Apparently neither money or a suitable workforce are available to clean the areas up. What a load of rubbish, it is a case of good proactive planning by the people in charge of maintaining a healthy and safe environment for all. Well my response to that is lets get it right now before the hordes descend on us. it can be done if someone picks up the gauntlet......
Oh and by the way I will not be travelling into see the Eurovision events as I can't bear the disgraceful exhibition that the City Council is making of itself by not addressing these problems. There is too much passing of the buck. Please can the 2 Grot Spots be cleaned up asap?

Om so fed up with this government changing every bloody benefits full of empty promises we the way they are treating everyone on benefits we should treat them the same.e Don't Vote I know they can fine us but it will be worth im sick to death the way they are treating disabled people elderly people most of all NHS staff not being rude saying this but come on 10.% rise for O.A.P.S when the NHS staff worked so hard thru the pandemic also lots lost their lives and im just saying they should have that rise not only that they work long hard hours and yes mistakes could be made be so tired the NHS needs a good shake up not from the staff from the government why not create more jobs with having matrons bk on wards things will done better patients get treatment on time appointments to different areas on time ie xray ct scans that's only the start we will lose the NHS soon then we will .on having to take out insurance to get medcal treatment im just fed up the way government treating us like we are sh.t

Terrible. An awful website for a start that constantly reloads and freezes. As for their “journalism” it’s atrocious. What is holly wearing, someone was asked a hard question on the chase. It’s embarrassing and written for brain dead people.

Very very poor journalism. The echo seems to take press releases from various interest groups and reproduce them word for word...not exactly what you would call investigative journalism.
Recently saw an article about how Port Sunlight Village Trust were going to build new properties in a conservation area, (whilst at the same time expecting to start the process to try and get UNESCO world heritage status).
The Echo printed almost word for word the Trust's press release and never bothered to investigate the rage felt by villagers.
It also has a lot of articles about various cheap supermarkets having new products. With of course no mention whatsoever that these fat and sugar heavy products are very bad for health
All in all the Echo is a shameless, lazy excuse for a newspaper. A cheap local version of the Sun

The Echo is in my opinion a pale shadow of its former self. I used to love reading it. Local reporters who understood the area. Now, it's basically trash and a shell of a 'local' newspaper. Sensationalism, gutteral, crass ...spring to mind. I informed them of a story once related to Church, it was a big event. Not a word in the paper. Their excuse? You informed plus two months in advance, that's too early! As a local resident it pains me to say it but couldn't care less if it ceased existence.

Work offshore so read news a lot on line. Give up with Echo just terrible to use. Not even worth one star .

Abysmal website for a paper that is Liverpool based. Full of cheap ads, latest news rarely updated and fixated with Liverpool Football club.

Norwegian Reds, Reds who don't go to the match and far left wing voting sheep. It's website is unusable without ad blockers, and it's reporting appears to be done by year 6 school children.

Being from Liverpool I'm obviously interested in local news, and I've persevered with this 'newspaper' for years but I find the quality of the 'news' has deteriorated to the extent that I can't be bothered wading through all it's irrelevant rubbish anymore, in a vain attempt to find anything newsworthy. Some days it seems the ratio of rubbish to proper news is 80/20. Not good.
I'm going to tabulate each one of my complaints.
1. It's full of adverts and you wait for an eternity for pages to load. Frustrating to say the least.
2. Many of the stories are merely advertorials, houses for sale, local restaurants, etc,which hardly qualify as news.
3. Many of the stories are merely TV/ celebrity news and gossip- ditto. The quintessence of trivia (not news). How hot Carol Vorderman looks in her new bikini is of no consequence to me, and she's not even from Liverpool (or Merseyside).
4. Many of the stories arent even from Merseyside, but from other parts of the country, like Ormskirk (Lancashire), Ellesmere Port (Cheshire), and I've read 'news' from Manchester, Birmingham, and other cities not remotely related to Merseyside.It's bad enough that the 'Liverpool' Echo seems to devote more time to reporting on places like St Helens and Warrington (admittedly from Merseyside) than Liverpool itself. Clearly, the 'reporters' need a compass and aren't locals themselves (maybe this would be helpful if the editor really wants to deliver local news?
5. There are endless puerile, patronising 'stories' about Liverpool along the lines of '10 things only a scouse nan would say to her grandson', '20 things that only a scouser would understand', etc, which I find insult my intelligence and are a waste of column space
6. On a weekly basis there are stories squeezed in, some of them incredibly trivial and barely newsworthy, in service of the 'woke' agenda and raising the profile of a particular demographic, which I find totally unnecessary and is essentially propaganda. How NOT to get people on board.
7. Old stories are frequently recycled in the guise of 'history'- in lieu of current news.
8. The paper endlessly seeks to 'educate' its readers about the city with facts that are blatantly obvious to any scouser.Who these stories are for the benefit of is a mystery.

I could go on, but it really shouldn't be such hard work to read some proper news and get some actual quality journalism. Apparently it is.

Website is so slow due to all the crap adverts it is totally unusable and just freezes

Extremely slow site. About 85% of every page is intrusive adverts. The only way to view this page is using an adblocker at which point it just becomes useable.

Without an adblocker, you may as well go to another site as it's slow and becomes unresponsive constantly.

This is the slowest website I’ve ever been on and just full of commercials absolutely ridiculous
