In 2009, the debut of LiveAuctioneers' iPhone and Android apps, with live-bidding capabilities, opened up a new mobile pipeline to bid anytime, from anywhere, with complete anonymity. Since then, LiveAuctioneers has been the first to engage bidders with live streaming video, easy online payments, personalized search alerts, and more. Excellent experience. Despite being a market rate driven format, most auctions are too expensive.
Got a great deal here.

I had to follow up with Whiteknight - but after a day of email and phone, my Item was delivered very promptly. Getting item from SJauctioneers took longer, but it came after about a week. I have to compliment the service people who did a lot of follow up for me!

this is not for LIveAucionneers, but one of the groups who work with them...Garnet Gazelle -
let me tell you my experience - I registerted to bid, AT that time it requested do I wan to ship my purchase or pick my purchase. They list an address in Houston, easy, I chose to pick them up, guess what, yiou cannot do that per their terms and conditions, even though they ask you which one you want to do, it is not a choice. Then comes the shipping, they billed me $31.00 dollars to ship when I did not plan in when I bid on the product. When I signed up I placed my billing address, of course they use this for my shipping address. They ship it to my home and send it adult signature required. Of course me and the wife work and are not home to recieve it and on th first delivery attempt no go. I reach out to fed ex to see if I can change the delivery address, they tell me only the shipper can do this. I reach out to the shipper (we exchanged many emails back and forth) to see if they will take 5 minutes, go into fed ex and change it. Their response is that fed ex will attempt delivery 3 times, after the 3rd time they will return it to their warehouse (not in Houston) then they can re ship it at my exspence to my now requested address. THEY DID NOT CARE, THEY SPENT MORE TIME EMAILING ME INSTEAD OF JUST OFFERING SOME CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND CHANGE THE ADDRESS WHICH FED EX VERIFIED TO ME NO LESS THAN 3 TIMES THAT THEY CAN DO THAT IF THEY WOULD. Product is good, they do not understand customer relations or customer service. They essentially told me, go f$#@ yourself and pay to have us reship it.
So, read the fine print better than I did, and do not belive them when they offer you a choice. Gordon in Conroe Texas PS I had to take off from work and hope to meet the Fed Ex Driver to receive my package, which I did, not had time to open the box and reveiw the product.

It took me 2 months to get my item shipped to me. Whenever I called their customer service I got the runaround. No one knew here my item was and they had zero communication with their shippers. I paid through the nose for shipping on top of that. Never again. Stay away

Couldn't bid. They didn't approve me in time. It's usually instantaneous.

Well, winning an online auction item that you love is always an adrenaline hit. Then receiving it and having it be everything you bid on (& more?) feels extraordinary.
Then the entire process happens without issue, when it is made easy with payment and shipping, the auction win feels like a gift.
That's my experience.

Shipping, shipping, shipping. The prices charged for shipping are insane. EVERY auction house I have dealt with says the very same thing about LiveAuctioneers shipping process. Time to move on from these crooks.
Also, don't bother sending me your template, "At the moment, I don’t have enough information here to locate your account or review the details of this shipment. To help you properly and look into the charges you received, please email our team directly at packaging*liveauctioneers.com
and include your invoice number. Once we have that, we’ll be able to review what happened and assist you further." Anyone wanna bet it arrives next?

An awesome auction experience!
So easy to search for specific auction pieces. I absolutely love that they are now offer shipping for many auction houses. So much easier than going through the process of finding third party shipping for a reasonable price.

Mynt had great coins and a nice selection for every wallet. Auction was run well with good exchanges between myself and the sell. Would definitely recommend Mynt for coin purchases!

While there are some legitimate businesses using this platform, it is also full of forgeries and fake auction houses. There seems to be little to no due diligence done by the platform on the auction houses listed. It is apparently easy to fake reviews. Support is unable to recognize this, insisting they are legitimate reviews, when there is an obvious pattern. When the platform is unwilling to take action, the platform itself becomes complicit. You should not trust this platform.
edit: My response to "That said, we can’t investigate or act without concrete details tied to an account, auction house, or specific lots. If you have examples you’d like us to review, please email us at ... with as much detail as possible, and our team will look into it further."
And this here is the problem. You should be proactively and constantly investigating auction houses on your platform, on your own, before users are scammed. You are providing and platform and legitimacy for these fake auction houses. If you want us to trust your platform, you need to deserve our trust. It's clear to me you are providing a platform for fraud and are undeserving.
With that said, I did already email. This review is written after my correspondence with support. I emailed before even receiving the lots I "won".
The first sign of trouble was in the dynamics of the auction itself, where the winning bid was retracted during live bidding, leaving me the winner. It made me think the auction house was trying to bid up the price.
After that, I did the bare amount of research possible with the information you make available to users. At this point it became obvious to me I had been scammed. I raised my concern about an auction house selling purported original paintings, paintings that would be worth millions of dollars each, by artists represented in _only_ the top Museums around the world
1. Almost all reviews followed a pattern and were obviously faked. I was told it was not possible to fake reviews. You have a lack of creativity if you believe that.
2. Auction house has gmail address and phone number with an non-business voicemail. They did not answer phone on my attempts to reach them. I even left a message and received no callback.
4. Phone number shared with a different auction house on your platform. Different auction house based on another continent, but still with +1 USA country code
5. Address for auction house is a self-storage in NJ
If they were selling low value items it would be one thing, but each of these is independently a red flag for an auction house with weekly auctions containing many items worth millions of dollars each.
To highlight how obvious it is, I physically went to a legitimate auction house which uses your platform and sells real lots worth $100K+. Owner said it was an obvious scam after spending 10 seconds looking at lots in their current auction. If a gallery owner can detect this in 10 seconds just by looking at lots, what kind of due diligence is LiveAuctioneers doing?
LiveAuctioneers is either incompetent, doesn't understand their business, or is complicit. Based on my experience trying to report this to customer service, I believe the latter.

You cannot complain to liveauctioneers.com, they dont care. Here is what you do, you report the auction house to the police in the city they have posted. Sometimes these auction houses are scammers and it is a fake city, report there anyways. Next hire a lawyer especially if you have bought a fake item. You can sue for 3 X damages. They say they are not responsible for authenticity but let's see them try to prove they arent buying fake items, they won't be able to. Next call your local Secret Service Unit. Ask to speak to someone in the cyber crimes unit. If you try to report nationally to the FBI or something they may just be far too inundated. You have to call local, local to you and local to the scum auction house. Be sure to mention how it's seems liveauctioneers.com is complicit because they definitely are. You can't just say oh well amd chalk it up. You have to get angry and make calls until it sticks with someone. Local police on the auction house end and your end are two definitely. Then call your local Secret Service and you could try your local FBI. You have to apply pressure to the head, liveauctioneers.com but also apply pressure to its tentacles, the bad auction houses. The more calls they get the more chance someone goes after liveauctioneers.com amd their fraudulent sellers. You have to get angry!!! There are good auction houses on there but a whole boatload of bad ones. Also always check their reviews on the site before you even think of bidding. Every auction house will have some bad reviews even if they are good but you will be able to make a good judgement. You see counterfeit, or fake or never got my item or not at all like the picture those are the houses you run from no matter how good the deal.

I have bought through Liveauctioneers for years. Always a great experience with the platform and sellers. I had a issue with a seller not sending my goods for weeks. The sellers customer service and shipping lines went straight to VM for days. Emailed the seller multiple times. No call backs or emails. I reached out to Liveauctioneers customer service and they had me a tracking number in 24 hours. I really appreciate them jumping and resolving this for me! Buy with complete confidence through LiveAuctioneers!

I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding my recent experience with LiveAuctioneers and SMC Auction House, particularly following my successful bid on January 16th, 2026. After promptly submitting payment for the lot, I attempted multiple forms of communication, including emails, web messages, texts, and phone calls, yet received no response. Despite involving Liveauctioneers for assistance, their standard reply was that SMC was responsible for shipping and suggested I contact them directly, which only led to further frustration due to continual silence. As of February 5th, after once again requesting intervention and highlighting the lack of communication from SMC, I was informed that a refund was being initiated and that the lot had been removed from my profile, preventing me from leaving a review. Lastly, I was advised to reach out to SMC Auctions for any issues, which, I must stress once more, has proven unresponsive to buyers. This ongoing situation raises serious concerns about customer service and accountability at your auction house, and I believe it warrants immediate attention. Why LiveAuctioneers permits such indiscretions is beyond me, but it's a poor reflection on them equally so. Not only my time was wasted but, but business impacted as the piece was logged in an upcoming art show. The entire experience is unacceptable.

This site promotes Nazi propaganda and WWII Nazi items. It should be closed down permanently.

This is a great site but you should stay out of the shipping business. Every time I see that Live Auctioneers is doing the shipping, I will not bid on the item.
