The program is interesting
The program is interesting, but I found the pace a little too fast for beginners.

No empathy
My certificate of completion is 5 months late and when I enquired, they said it was on transit. I was given a tracking number but with no shipping company - hello? how am I gonna track that? I was unable to use the certificate for my job applications.
Go somewhere else, these guys do not value you at all.

I had a wonderful experience at DataScientest due to several key factors:
- The course content was outstanding and very informative.
- I received a valuable certificate from the University of Sorbonne.
- The support team was extremely helpful, with special thanks to the Project Manager, Arsilejda.

I followed the Data Analyst Path and it was great!
I followed the Data Analyst path thanks to my company. I followed all the lectures and the offline trainings and I can say that it was very tailored for my needs. I received the right technical knowledge (Python and PowerBI overall) and I am currently using everything I learnt. The forum offered in the platform is very useful because the community behind is alive and helpful. The exams are not that complex but they help you to understand if you understood exactly all the topics you need.

Fantastic learning experience at Datascientest
I had a fantastic time learning Data Science and Machine Learning Engineering at Datascientest over the past six months. The online format was incredibly convenient, allowing me to learn at my own pace while still having access to regular meetings and a structured agenda to keep me on track. The course content was comprehensive and well-organized, and the flexible schedule made it easy to balance my studies with other commitments.
The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help, whether through forums or live sessions. I appreciated the opportunity to work on real-time projects with a team, which helped me apply what I learned in a practical setting. Even after completing the course and earning my two diplomas, I still have access to the platform, which is great for revisiting and brushing up on concepts.
Overall, the learning environment was positive, the support from the staff was excellent, and the experience was rewarding. I highly recommend Datascientest to anyone looking to advance their skills in Data Science and Machine Learning.

🌟🎓 Should you choose DataScientest ? 🐬 honest, in-depth review 2024
➕ much content
➕ team work with a self-designable project
➕ can request access to modules after the certificate, to continue learning during job search
➖ it can take months to receive the certificate by post
➖ learning tempo is fast in bootcamp
My main points :
Extensive overview into many subjects, very competent mentors/stuff, widely state-of-the-art content, good translations; but certificate delay and access issues annoyed me most.

➕ you will find mates in the training to learn with and share difficult problems
➕ option for 1-on-1 meetings, e.g. for individual job search
➕ weekly mentor meetings for the project, with option to get conceptual feedback or to ask for suggestions to solve problems
➖ it feels like more time'd be needed to become a specialised expert
➖ you must be motivated for Data, Programming, Statistics and Open-Source Tools

I strongly disagree with most opinions on the quality of English translation. Yes, some parts (about 1 of 30 comments or variable names or pictures) are in French, but the main text to read is always in clear English. If you know a bit of French, you will have an easy time with the English training. When variables are named occasionally in French, you can still translate it. Negative was that none of my about 20 typos reported in the modules were corrected within a 3 months. Bigger content errors were partially corrected by the content Team. Access issues were resolved within 1 day, usually.
The structure of topic explanations is outstanding, very good (I never felt to have missed a subtopic, only when I wanted to refresh basic knowledge required for more complicated stuff).
However, the content itself is by nature of IT world not always easy and quick to understand. It's normal, independantly from the training provider DataScientest.
I did also experience the polarized split of opinions on DataScientest live during the course : About 10 % of Students expected a more individual style of coaching to help them to cope with the extensive learning content. My observation was that they seemed overwhelmed or stressed by self-imposed requirements. Maybe, they were not used to learn autodidactically. Some complainers are normal in all chats, while most participants did not ask questions. That's okay, but don't forget to use your opportunity to ask really competent-in-field Data experts.
From a more objective point of view on DataScientest, I disliked the technical irregularities with the access to the platform. I experienced about 8 days of 160 days (5 %) where my learning was interrupted. I read Data Science books and visited the forum regularly to continue my learning for that times.
Some exams have questions that are not easy to understand. In my first exam, I was struggling the most over my entire training, since I received feedback on my failed 2 attempts that was not helpful at all. Before taking my last 3rd attempt, I asked for extra feedback via a form which was helpful. I was very active in the forum. 3 times, I posted questions on the instructions in exams, showing strongly modified parts of exam content, still leading to quick deletion of the forum thread by a moderator. So, I had to ask the cohort leader for help, which was okay.
I see the communication aspect was rated negatively. There are many channels where you can ask your question. From my point of view, the communication is not a problem. You can reach for help. You get support if you need it to pass the training. Make sure that not to flood the chat with difficult language or very specialized details. Staying friendly as a learner and use an AI tool of your choice ensures your successful journey in the Data world.
I (German, 30 y, m) did the Data Science course APR24 bootcamp for 3.5 months, then MLOps course JUL24 for 2 months, to become Machine Learning Engineer.

I am highly dissatisfied with this institute and wish to use my voucher elsewhere.
The training took around 9 months in my case and was completely online.
The biggest issue was finding the responsible people in the institute, either through Slack or email. I had to message them on both platforms, then remind them one week and then two weeks later to get a response. However, even after getting a reaction, the problem was not solved. Every time, I had to explain the situation (whether technical or administrative problem) and how far we had progressed. For the following communication about the same situation, I had to explain everything all over again (For The Same Person).
During our project meeting, the person in charge from the institute seemed distracted and was talking to colleagues, making it necessary for me to repeat myself.
The course costs over 6000 euros, which is quite high. I expected better service and responsibility, but it seems that they are only concerned about receiving payment from the job center.
For those in Germany who wish to participate and whose common language is English, please be aware that some workshops and lectures will be conducted in French. Therefore, always inquire whether the presentation will be in English before taking time off work to participate online, as you may be disappointed in the first minute. Good luck getting an answer.
Unprofessional work
Unprofessional work - modules are created overnight and never proofread. I assume the program was first made in French and later (Google translated) in German. Every page of the module has errors stemming from auto translations and it will affect your learning. They expect learners to report every typo and error in their instructions. There was a module where screenshots/images did not match with the text instructions. I learned better from free courses on YouTube and LinkedIn. The masterclass only happens once every two weeks and is insufficient to understand. The tutorial is a joke; you only get 15 minutes when you request it, I often waste time explaining my situation and the time is up! 15 minutes gone. It also takes about days to book a tutor. Awful business. Ghastly work.
My experience with Datascientest
I personally found my experience with Datascientest great. They offer flexible timings and the notebooks are really good and informative. The trainers are good ,knowledgeful and patient and help us by answering to our doubts in forum immediately and also by clearing our doubts in the class room.We can do a real time project as well with a Team and there would be a mentor to assist us though out.Overall the course is good providing us a way to explore the concepts and though some exams are quite tough we could clear it by giving sincere efforts. We could have access to the platform for a few months later on as well to brush up the concepts we learned

DataScientist.com - An Honest Companion in the World of Data Science
As an experienced Database Developer with over 15 years of experience, I can honestly recommend the DataScientist.com institution in Paris.
As a first step, you must take an entrance examination. This makes sense because to become a data scientist, you should have certain basic knowledge, like coding, statistics, and linear algebra. It’s a valuable pre-evaluation.
The continued evaluation is organized in notebooks and an ongoing project. After acquiring basic data science knowledge, the project starts.
By and large, the notebooks are pedagogically well-designed. You can see that not only IT nerds like me are working there, but also people with general pedagogical knowledge who put themselves in the trainee's mind.
If you have questions, you have various options. You can chat with an expert, write questions in the forum, and on a regular basis, there are group sessions where you can bring up your questions. The exams can sometimes be difficult, but if you work hard, you can pass them. If you are struggling and have problems, people will always help you. But don’t be mistaken, you won’t get gifts! You have to show that you understand the material. An institution like DataScientist.com is always interested in maintaining a good reputation and producing good graduates. But don’t be afraid, the instructors are very nice, competent, and ready to help you whenever you need it.
Yes, they do sometimes make small mistakes like typos, but they have no problem admitting and correcting them. They are only human beings. And yes, it is a bit expensive, but take into account that high-quality education has its price. It’s only fair.
Hence, if you are interested in knowledge and technology and are a hard-working person, I can only recommend DataScientist.com. You will never walk alone and will gain a lot!

From physics to DevOps engineering in three months!
I was a part of the April 2024 cohort on the DevOps Engineer Bootcamp training program, as part of my reskilling into the tech field (having previously had a purely academic background in physics)
This was overall an enriching experience for me and gave me the confidence to pursue this new career.
This online training is quite intensive as you have to juggle the modules with doing a group project. The group project essentially involves automating the deployment of an app, implementing all the different stages of the DevOps cycle. The focus is on understanding the challenges and making informed decisions with respect to infrastructure, tools used, etc...
Fortunately you do get a couple of extra months worth of access to the course materials & exams after you defend your final project, so if you feel like you can't do everything, it's OK!
The people at Datascientest were super supportive and kind, and they were stellar in the face of an overwhelming number of students (as per usual for an online program)
The order in which the different sprints are organized leaves a little to be desired as they sometimes clashed with the organization of the project (hence why 4 stars instead of 5; I would have put 4.5 if it were an option haha) and if you are not already familiar with Git & collaborating, then I would say either go for the long form version ('formation continue' 11 months training) to account for that steep learning curve.
Downside: as the tools keep getting updated and things change in tech, some of the course materials are slightly outdated, but on the bright side you have industry professionals who can provide hands on guidance via Zoom (you just need to ask).
Anyway I was very happy with this program as it felt exactly what I was looking for! It fosters a professional mindset and opens many doors.

This company is a NIGHTMARE
This company is a NIGHTMARE. DevOps Bootcamp is a joke, they charge 6k and when I asked for a call with someone that could answer couple of my questions - I am waiting more than two weeks for a teacher and still nobody got back to me. This is just one abstraction among many other. Would never buy it again.
High quality training
It gives all the necessary fundamentals to become self-sufficient in order to keep searching and learning.
Demanding, time-consuming, but absolutely interesting and worthwhile.

Datascience bootcamp
I did a bootcamp formation in the domain of Datascience and I was satisfied in the process as I learned a lot of skills in different domains and especially in the project where we were able to apply the learned skills
-------------------------------------------------
I really enjoyed learning Data Science at DataScientest (in a bootcamp mode) (in France) (and get my diploma by the way). In a nutshell, the training environment is nice, it is most of the time in remote, the content is online, up to you to manage your time, but you have regular meetings and an agenda for your exams to make sure you will reach the final target (the rhythm is quite intense, especially in boot camp mode). In case of something not easy, the support is always there. I recommend!
