Like many people on this, I received an email about updates to Terms of Service to a Link account which I never knew about. I never created a Link account. Didn't know about Link until I received this email. I went through the account deletion process. I hope it worked.

My brand new blinks cameras My son got me for Christmas, and even set up for me is always malfunctioning. Sometimes all of the 5 cameras and my doorbell camera is off line. I mean all of them. Sometimes just 1. But never are all working. I don't want to hurt my sons feelings so I'm not telling him how I feel, but I'm telling you. They are junk don't buy

Never signed up for this but some how I have an account. Cant get them to delete or even respond

Like many others here, I have never knowingly signed up to Link, nor is it a checkout service I've used online, but I received an email about upcoming changes with them.
Having never heard of them I did a web search and came across all of these reviews, many saying the same thing.
They have a "delete my information" or "delete my account" option in the emails, so I selected those. I remain skeptical about not receiving future updates though, only because of how shifty it seems that I've been contacted and my information been stored by them to begin with.
They get a star for ease of deleting account, but I've only just done that so can't attest to whether it worked.
Looks like an online checkout somewhere has sold or leaked our data, hey?
(Sarcasm) Not concerning at all. (End sarcasm)

I received an email from link to advise an update on their T&C...this was the first time I was even aware that I had an account with them. I did not ask for it or want it, and it appears they are holding all my details including bank card info without my knowledge which is a breach of my privacy and rights. I have tried to cancel this unwanted account, which they make very difficult...and I have yet to receive any reply!

I have no account with these people but they say I do. Looks like scammers. Avoid

Claim I have an account with them, never heard of them. Scammers, AVOID

Received an email saying a few updates on your account. Never used them, don't know them.
So why do I have an account?
They know my email, tried to cancel, sent a code on mobile, so they have that too. Very suspicious and illegal. Everyone needs to make a complaint to The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), which i will be doing ASAP.

Never signed up. Never heard of Link.
Got an email to “delete my account.”
Clicked. Confirmed. Timed out.
They don’t want you to leave — and that’s shady.
Illegal tactics. 🚨 Be warned!

This company is completely unknown to me. They sent me an email claiming that i had an account with them. i don’t and i am not happy about them claiming that i am a customer of theirs. Block them immediately!

Like many here, I was also signed up for an account I did not sign up for.
They already had my name, my e-mail, my home address, my phone number and my payment details. All this information is fully stored on their website and tied to the account they created.
Through the payment history on the link.com account, I found out it was a checkout on e-surgery.com that automatically signed me up for it.
Looking into link.com further, I found out that this website is well known for scraping your information from checkouts to sign you up for accounts. Some people have even been signed up to them just for buying a coffee from a shop for example.
I personally find this type of thing very underhanded to do and very close to breaching GDPR if not already breaching it.

I have never asked nor applied for a link account. Today I received an email saying their terms and conditions have changed !!! what the ****.
I do NOT want a Link account, I have NEVER signed up and they should NOT be storing my financial details.
I feel sure this is breaking UK law…
Addendum: it looks like this was created when I paid our daughter’s electricity bill to Octopus ….. WHY?.. both hers and our accounts are on my app !!…

I had an email from this company regarding updated terms of service. I don't ever remember signing up for the account. It seems they grabbed my details when I paid for a takeaway to be delivered from a local restaurant a few days earlier. There were no choices to opt in or opt out of opening an account in the payment process. I find this is fundamentally deceitful. I hope the account deletion process is successful.

I never signed up for Link. I just got an email regarding their updates to their services and my account. What account? Terrible, I never signed up.

I never agreed to have my payment details stored. I never do so this has been craftily slipped in. I have no idea of any account or where to stop this. It is outrageous.

This is an APPALLING system used by a host of small retailers, apparently because its cheaper. It snatches your *financial information* WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT and, worse, giving you *NO OPTION* to opt out. There are no terms of service or privacy terms listed or linked. NYS passed a LAW against this kind of effective data theft. I'm reporting them to the Attorney General's office, and I urge others to do the same.

I attended a fundraising event and wanted to donate, since there was a generous donor who offered to match all donations. I typed in my credit card info but the system ignored it and hurried to charge another credit card, which was the wrong card for that purpose. I contacted their customer support and learned that the transaction could not be changed. I would not recommend 'link' :-/

They act as a go between the businesses to take your money. When the business is a non-responsive to cancel your payment then take no responsibility. If you have unfortunately create an account go ahead and delete it now.

I got a message from Link [I do not have an account] and Link told me to log in to see what purchases had been made. Is it a scam site?
