Good Product

I wrote a bad review for Limbo back in March after having several horrible delays with receiving the product. Thankfully Paul from Limbo reached out and made everything right by allowing me to test the product beyond what I ordered.
The product itself is a good idea and has helped me lose over 20 lbs in a few months. There is a definite learning curve to the app and it can be frustrating to learn how to control your blood sugar levels but I found it to be interesting and something I can use to fuel further weight loss.
The logistics issue has been improved and with more focus on fine tuning delivery process and procedures, I think the company can do wonders for many people. I think them and Paul for their efforts to ensure my satisfaction.

Product was good when I had it

Product was good when I had it - the company seem to have huge logistical issues and for my second, third and fourth months there were shipping delays for the sensors (up to 2 weeks), which meant that the subscription was virtually useless for that period each month.
Support gave the marketing line of "it's about behaviours not just the device" but that's not an acceptable excuse, neither is "we've been onboarding so many new customers, we're having trouble managing stock" - company attitude seems to be focused on new customers rather than looking after current subscribers.
It's a real pity - when everything was working, I found it really useful and saw great results. Hopefully they'll fix the logistics issues, but I wasn't prepared to keep paying while it was a half-service.

This company is a real disappointment…

This company is a real disappointment and I would not recommend to anyone. They are well able to charge 5 star prices but provide a 1 star back up service.

Two sensors are supplied when you first order the device, the first sensor fell off through a fault of my own and the second device just stopped working for no apparent reason. It has been 3 weeks since they told me that they were dispatching a new sensor to me and when I didn't receive it, I contacted customer service only to be told that no sensor has been dispatched yet! Surely this level of customer service is not acceptable!!

It works! 3 stone in 4 months and maintaining 5 months later

I lost just under 3 stone in 4 months on Limbo and 5 months later am still within 1-2 lbs of that.

My weight was slowly increasing despite a good diet and exercise. The diets that used to work for me when I was younger weren’t working in my 40s/50s. I was debating whether to apply for the weight loss injections but decided that Limbo was a better option as it should be easier to maintain weight loss independently.

The diet aims to ‘flatten’ your blood sugar line, and you receive 2 continuous glucose monitors per month along with an app which gives you regular feedback.

I really wasn’t keen on being hungry so to avoid snacking I felt ate a little more at meals in the first couple of days. My appetite quickly reduced and then I was in control of what went in my mouth.

It was really motivating to see the spikes decrease as I changed what and when I ate, and what I drank.

I needed to follow a very low carb diet initially to flatten my line but then I found I could gradually increase the carbohydrates I ate as the months went on. I found some great mediterranean recipes online and found it easy to make meals that worked for the whole family – I just skipped the carbs. After the first month, I went out for a meal most weeks, ate sensibly and had a glass of wine.

The app feedback is a mix of AI and people. It’s mostly very upbeat and supportive although you may encounter a few knocks in the first few weeks as you learn how to make more Limbo friendly choices. When you add ingredients and pictures of your meals, rather than a recipe name, you’ll get more accurate feedback.

There is also an online community, videos, articles, recipes and regular online sessions to help.

I did encounter sensor supply issues for the first couple of months into the programme but not once they changed to the new supplier. The new sensors also appeared to be more accurate and were smaller. Customer service were always extremely quick to respond to any issues, they also added on extra time when a sensor was delayed.

Overall, I’d recommend Limbo. It’s given me a new lease of life and I feel like ‘me’ again!

Great motivational tool but unpolished app.

I have been using Limbo for 2 weeks and am finding it really interesting - as well as losing weight and eating more healthily. The sensor works very well and any problems are responded to very swiftly.

The reason for me giving Limbo 3 stars is that the app is buggy - it crashes, often requires re-verification and the text could do with proof-reading. It’s not cheap and I’d expect a more polished product.

Don’t waste your money

As a diabetic I wanted to see my glucose levels in more detail. I purchased a one month membership. I thought that there would be some coaching but it is all automated and forum based. Not great for so much money. It is a low carb diet, even encouraging people to cut carbs altogether. Therefore most of the comments I received were negative bc I don’t believe in completely cutting out carbs. To me that is an extreme diet and not sustainable.
Also, I replaced my first monitor today (your membership gets you two per month). The new one fell out a few hours later. I don’t see anywhere on the app to contact customer service - I don’t think I should have to eat the cost of a monitor that didn’t last a day!

I don’t recommend Limbo

You're correct in that you won't bear the cost of a sensor that didn't last a day. I can see that you've now been able to contact customer services and a sensor is being sorted for you.

On the carbs / no carbs - we're set up to help you watch changes in your line and Limbo isn't really a diet, but works with you to see what foods affect you and cut out excess energy to help you lose weight. If you've other goals - Limbo may not work for you, but cutting out excess energy will!

The product is great but the ordering…

The product is great but the ordering and delivery is atrocious for such a high end product cost. I am still waiting on delivery of a 3 month limbo sensor which has been paid for. 5 weeks gone and still no sign and it now looks to me lost in transit possibly. This is not the first time. Had delays on the previous 1st order also.
This should not be so difficult and it is embarrassing for the company service.
The reason I purchased a 2nd time though is that I liked the app whilst tough it is useful in food management plan.
Just want to note that I do wish the company well and hopefully they can sort out these basic problems but it does not bode well.

For sure a scam company!

Check their IG and other pages people commenting that payment done and "customer care" just keep promising shipping but not follow up and its been over a month for something costing over $200.

AVOID!!!!

Even more lies from paul from limborevolution .. says shipped and then an email saying there has been delays and they working on them. Going on since months already.

Horrible customer service

This company has the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of using.

It took weeks to get my starter kit. Then after upgrading to a 12 month prepaid membership my very first regular shipment was nearly a month late.

It took me a month of arguing back and forth before I finally got my refund. Sadly, the nightmare did not end there as they continued sending me products after cancelling (two months in a row so far!).

They now expect me to pay for return shipping on the products I never asked for which they sent in error so I am still stuck arguing with them.

The products/app were nothing great either. I feel the guilt tripping over minor mistakes in food choices and the encouragement to delay eating for lengthy periods were counterintuitive to healthy weight loss.

I didn't learn any healthy habits or new techniques, it was just the same diet and exercise advice you can find anywhere just with the addition of the sensor.

I'm sorry about the issues that you had on delivery, which have now been resolved. But I want to come back on a few things you've mentioned.
It's surprising how a few 'minor' mistakes can make, over time, substantial difference in weight management, we do try to help members make conscious decisions over what food works, and doesn't work for them given their reactions and history.
On delaying eating for lengthy periods - this absolutely isn't something that Limbo recommends. For sure, we do find that snacking works against weight loss, but having three good meals over one day is both healthy and possible to combine with weight loss if you're eating the foods that work for you.
I'm sorry that we weren't able to share with you habits and techniques. One of the points of Limbo is that it's not a diet - it's about helping members understand how they react to food and then beginning to make better decisions over time.

Only 15 days into Limbo, feeling healthier!

Everything went smoothly. There was a slight delay in delivery due to Limbo’s success, but the support team’s dedication and kindness provided a swift resolution. The information on the site and on the app is very clear, a lot of relevant topics are made available, the access to the community of users and their experience provides good support and motivation. Instructions on handling the sensor are detailed and reassuring, the technology worked perfectly (no problems with the sensor or the app). The feedback provided when we log meals, drinks, activities etc is very relevant and useful, it helps raise awareness on our choices, which is key for any long-lasting change. And once you know, you know… There’s no turning back to an unaware-of-the-glucose-spike-producing-food state. As I start avoiding glucose spikes and crashes, I already feel less tired, more resistance and energy, no sugar cravings at all, healthier food choices. As a psychologist, the only thing I recommend would be a few more encouraging messages in the very beginning of the journey, because some “tough love” feedbacks can trigger defensiveness or “I’m never going to be able to” feelings. As a conclusion: I definitely recommend Limbo!

The best product to get metabolic health!

I’m almost done with my 1st sensor and am thoroughly impressed with the program and the company! The customer service team has been so supportive, timely, and truthful. They have calmed any concerns I have had and have helped me with my numerous questions I’ve bombarded them with! Limbo really works. The feedback is spot on, even if it’s not always what I want to hear. I am slowly and steadily losing weight and feeling fantastic! This is an amazing opportunity to reset my body to true metabolic health! I’m primarily eating animal based but experimenting with adding in a bit fruit and veg. This is a wonderful tool to assist me in my journey. I have read complaints of the high price of this product, and I respectfully disagree. I feel this product is helping me to truly learn about MY personal energy and how foods affect me - not to mention the support, real time feed back, community support and individual support from the Limbo team members I have interacted with, has been so worth any price in my opinion! Thank you Limbo and the team behind this wonderful product!

Poor customer service

Was really excited to try Limbo as it was recommended to me by a family member.
However as of today I have been waiting 3.5 weeks and haven't even received a tracking number.
I've sent a message via Whats app but had a generic response.

I'm not one to usually leave a negative review online but the service so far has been very poor

They charge an outrageous price for…

They charge an outrageous price for extremely poor service and continually delayed monitors. If they’re charging you that amount the whole experience needs to be flawless and science backed. From the poor logistics to the poorly crafted in app messaging, it feels a bit like profit mongering. If you want to follow keto, research it and do it yourself. The app isn’t so great that you need it. And the monitor delivery is so patchy you’re flying solo for chunks of time anyways. Get Zoe if it’s available. Probably a healthier alternative long term with their emphasis on fibre rich diets.

I've read your other comments to the team on how you disagreed with the in app messages, and advice that you were getting. It is generally difficult to follow Limbo if members don't listen to the advice we give back (and this is based on 30 years of study, 2 billion data points, and analysing what happens to people's weight given various events)

But just to clarify a few things, snacking between meals really won't help people lose those pounds, we're not a keto diet, or indeed a prescription diet of any form but try to show members when they're eating food that doesn't work for weight loss.

Super fitness and weight loss program

Super app - highly intuitive and easy to use; Limbo program adjusts to you and your needs. It shows you how to change your habits by giving you near instant feedback on everything- food, exercise, sleep etc. I lost nearly 20kg in the first 4 months. I am now 2 years in and it’s been incredible for physical and mental health.

No sensors after paying money.

The concept is certainly a good one and if you follow the instructions you will lose weight. Unfortunately, this is not backed up by the logistics of getting the sensors to you. I have been waiting almost 3 weeks from my new sensors which have failed to arrive. I accept the customer service people will give you a fast response. But their promises never materialise. This is particularly worrying when they insist on you paying them upfront for your chosen plan. I have paid over €500 for a three month plan and at this stage I am still waiting for sensors. My concerns at the moment that Limbo have gone out of business as there seems to be quite a lot of people having the same issue. I will give an update when I hear more.
