Please do not use Lily Maree Designs

I paid Lily Maree Designs, in full for a linen wedding sign ($425), in July 2025.
It is now the week of my wedding (October 2025) and my sign is non-existent, I am not able to contact Lily Maree Designs and I am beyond devastated.
Brides, stay far away.

This process started off great

This process started off great! Danielle was super responsive and warm! She even gave me a discount!
In accordance with her website guidelines I met the dates and requirements, I had to follow up continuously about updates making sure my order was progressing. I started this process in January for my May Wedding.y order was not shipped until 2 weeks before my wedding and there were 2 public holidays in this time.
She assured me my order was sent as one. It was not, one part of the order was sent via Aus Post the other through Fed Ex. I sent multiple emails and texts to Danielle the week OF my wedding because I was frantically waiting. Luckily I had kept an email from Aus Post that I wasn’t familiar with the tracking number. Due to not having ANY response I followed up with Aus Post services that could confirm that was the package I was waiting for from this company.
Dealing with this business owner and company caused such stress and anxiety towards the end because I had done everything right and it was so hard to get a reply leaving me feeling so upset. Quality of most items was too a good standard except the linen items. If any bride sees this and would like further information feel free to comment.

A Cautionary Tale Regarding Lily Maree…

A Cautionary Tale Regarding Lily Maree Designs

I’d like to share my memorable experience with Lily Maree Designs as a friendly warning to other brides.

In early March, I decided to trust Danielle, the designer, with our wedding invitations and paid a deposit of $800. The plan was for a custom design to be ready for printing by August. A simple, straightforward request, right?

Apparently not.

From the get-go, communication was as consistent as a solar eclipse. I found myself playing the role of very patient follow-up enthusiast, constantly raising concerns about delays, only to be reassured that everything was “on track.”

Spoiler alert: It wasn’t.

Months later, I finally received the invitation samples. After reviewing them, I gave feedback and requested she revert to her original design concept—a black letterpress border instead of the cardboard mounting she’d suggested. At this point, Danielle admitted she had never actually worked with a black letterpress border before and had no idea how it would turn out. This was my “aha” moment. So… that’s why she kept pushing the cardboard. A design that’s never been done was a little beyond her capabilities. (To be fair, I’ve seen more technical understanding from a blonde trying to explain the internet to their grandma.)

I politely informed her that I no longer had confidence in her ability to deliver what was promised and requested a partial refund of my deposit.

Naturally, Danielle responded by refusing to return my deposit, unilaterally terminating the project, and leaving me with no invitations. When I asked for a fair resolution, her idea of a solution was to suggest we take this lovely matter to court. How charming.

What was supposed to be a fun and exciting part of wedding planning turned into an expensive, stress-inducing nightmare. Danielle has lied multiple times, and her professionalism might just be outshined by a reality TV star.

If you’re a bride looking for smooth sailing and professionalism, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Lily Maree Designs might just redefine your definition of stress.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!

It is appalling that businesses like this can operate. The owner took payment in full and then disappeared. It wasn't until I threated a fair work claim that she resurfaced. She refused to refund my order, eventually cancelling the order (no refund) and blocking me on everything. I'm left out of pocket, with no product and a lot of last minute stress leading up to what is meant to be the happiest day of my life. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Warning to other brides - my experience with Lily Maree Designs

Just wanted to share my experience with Lily Maree Designs as a warning to other brides.

I booked Danielle (the designer) to create our wedding invitations and paid a $500 deposit in early April. The agreed timeline was to have a custom design ready to post by July.

From the beginning, communication was slow and inconsistent. I had to follow up constantly and raised concerns about delays early on. I was reassured things were on track, but that wasn’t the case.

It took three months to receive my invitation samples. After finally receiving them, I gave feedback and asked her to revert to her own original design suggestion: a black letterpress border instead of mounting the invite on cardboard. She then admitted she didn’t know how the black letterpress border would look because she’s never done it before. This explained why she kept pushing the mounting option, even though her original design concept included a letterpress black boarder.

That was the final straw. I politely advised I no longer had confidence in her ability to deliver and formally requested a refund.

She has now refused to return my deposit, terminated the project herself, and left me out of pocket with no invitations. I’ve asked for a fair resolution but have only been met with threats about “solving the matter in court.”

This was meant to be a fun part of wedding planning but turned into a stressful, expensive mess. Danielle has lied multiple times and is very hard to work with. This is a warning to all brides to reconsider engaging with Lily Maree Designs.
