If you fail a breath test, the ignition interlock device will enter a temporary lockout period for the first failed BAC test. Lockout times are set by state regulation. -
How much can I drink before I trigger a violation?
Tolerance levels vary by state but are extremely low. We strongly recommend avoiding alcohol entirely and checking personal care products for alcohol content. -
Can someone else start the car for me?
No. This is considered circumvention of the device and may result in fines or jail time. -

I would not suggest anyone to use…
I would not suggest anyone to use Lifesafer. They are a very shady company that charges exorbitant amounts each month without explaining why. They take advantage of your situation and add on crazy fees and penalties that you will have no idea where they came from.
It is very sad to see a business like this. Im planning to sue the company because they seem to think people with DUIs or people who refuse to take breath tests have no way to defend or fight back.

Miss Carman was the liaison between me and the installer to make sure they could accommodate my particular vehicle, and I found Life Safer fees very competitive. Dealing with DUI is not fun, but if there is one ray of sunshine it would Miss carmen!

Every time I need to reschedule an appointment and try using the portal no appointments are scheduled, when I use the chat I've had issues with some that were no help with my issue and insist on me using the portal. I end up backing out and going back in, fortunately the second person fixed the issue for me with no problem.

Ray was absolutely amazing
Ray was absolutely amazing. Any hiccup that came up she got handled quickly for me to get a fast set up. I came from Intoxalock and everything about them is frustrating. Ray got the computer fixed at the location closest to me so I could get it installed quickly at the location closest to me after removal of the intoxalock. She fixed an initial billing error right from the start in a matter of minutes after I text her. The man installing it was very nice and also said how well Ray did in comparison to some other people they have dealt with in the past. Their computer is now working because of her! I'm in sales/customer service myself and recognize when people go the extra mile, and Ray definitely exceeded. The product itself is also so much better than Intoxalock, which she was great about describing how much better it would be. Give her a raise, keep her, have her train others. I have a friend going through the unfortunate events of possibly needing an IID and have already told them to go with LifeSafer if needed, just based off of how well Ray handled everything.
