Chess gone wrong

What went wrong ?!! What a stupid question. This Youtube site is trash. It is not on me to fix it. Somewhere behind the YT website are people who created this app. And you did it wrong. I - like a typical ordinary man - want to play chess: so I look online for an app to play chess. What comes up is this trash and I hate it. I hate it. Why? what is wrong with you people that invented a game to play chess and got way the hell off track? The computer shows a hell of a lot of stupid unnecessary bullshit that interferes with playing chess. Get a clue. Playing chess it the point. I am not going to waste my brain cells on learning a new way of looking at reality just so I can play chess. There are rules and rules about this chess site. This is wrong. I make a move and drop a piece. Why??!!!! Why?? I lose game and it is frustrating and stupid and the opponent is not happy to win a game because I dropped a piece. If this were reality - face to face chess game and someone happened to drop a piece then a normal human being would say " Okay take back the move and go one." but with this Lichess bullshit app you have to learn more and more rules and rules about how to use an app online. NO!!> No you are wrong. ! It is wrong to make old people, like me, who learned to pay chess 50 years ago to go through bullshit just to be allowed to play chess.. No! it is like playing a game of chess and some A-hole comes in and knocks over the chess board. It is not okay. Cleanup the chess app so people can just play chess and not have to cope with your arbitrary app rules. Get the bullshit off the computer screen so a person does not have to worry about inadvertently touching a computer key and ruining the damn game. That is not the way chess was meant to be played.

Got Unfairly Banned after Performing well.

Recently, I was banned from Lichess during a tournament. I had previous games, and met the requirements to join. First round was against a titled player, who I managed to beat. After that, I decided to Beserk (Half Time), and checkmate with 1 second left on my clock. Shortly after this, I get banned for "cheating" when I have never cheated. Very bad site, do not reccomend.

This application frequently becomes…

This application frequently becomes unresponsive when touching the screen, which is especially critical during Blitz games where every second counts. Once this issue is resolved, I would be happy to reconsider and update my feedback.

Site full of bots and cheaters

Site full of bots and cheaters. I hadn't played for 2 months on lichess, and i came back to play 2 blitz games:
in the first my opponent played with 97% accuracy on 41 moves,
in the second my opponent played with 99% on 39 moves!
Impossible to play chess online now.

They blocked my account with no evidence!

They blocked my account because I managed to reach an accuracy of over 90% from time to time. Apparently, it’s forbidden on Lichess.org to play good chess and be successful. Be careful! As soon as you hit over 90% accuracy, your account will be blocked!

Lichess is great

I cannot believe all the bad reviews here....Lichess is great! Caters to all levels, is very user friendly, is free, no ads, any type of time control or chess variant you could wish for. I've used Lichess since 2020 and have found that other sites/apps suck in comparison.

Lichess.org promotes cheating

First & foremost....has great graphics & such....but it ends there....EVERY idiot on there cheats, they leave games....and come back(how in the F do you do that???).....I am not even interested in points or a rating....I play for fun ONLY....but it gets so F'ing bad most of the time.....on other sites such as chess.com...has such a slow process...you lose a lot time before you came move.....on the 3 peat....they need to put a check or something to update you as to how checks you have or have made.....I guess in a perfect world....people would not cheat...but they do.....lichess.org allows & promotes cheating....very sad.....

Bots farm

This site is full with engine users and bots (this site seems to have his own bots farm). Chronic cheating problem .

Little to no follow up for reporting cheaters.

Don't even bother

If you're already using chess.com, don't even bother trying out lichess, you'll be back shortly. It's a sub par experience in almost every regard.

Do not waste your time with this app

Do not waste your time with this app. There are so many issues that it would take too long to mention them all. But the platform is definitely manipulated to suit certain players from very large populated countries, like India. Also amazing how many times you get a miss move at a crucial moment in the game !

Engine City

This site is choked full with engine users. Cheating here is chronic. The experiences always have the same profile: be up on a blundering opponent +5 or +6 a mere 30 seconds into a game. They beg and beg for "takebacks," which I decline. 5-6 minutes pass with no activity while they set up their engine. Then they suddenly start moving again and they're magically able to make each move in 1-2 seconds with 90%+ accuracy each time - *tah-dah* - and miraculously they manage to win. Every. Single. Time.

You can report cheats here but it does zero good, Lichess doesn't follow up no matter what their hollow public rebuttals claim. If you point these things out in their "community forum" the company shills will all gaslight you and smear you with ad hominem attacks. It's obvious even to a child what's going on here.

Don't waste your time: Lichess is a sewer of a chess site. They have no integrity at all.

The recent Lichess Spring 2024 marathon…

The recent Lichess Spring 2024 marathon was a real joy to play in, and I even streamed it live on twitch. In general the site is super fast, efficient, well constructed, and seems to have far bigger events in general than anywhere else on the Internet. I have been a recurring donor for years and recommend everyone to donate to this site to help support it! It really deserves all the support it gets! Cheers, K
