When you pay them the initial fee they say they will start working on your account.but when you cancel they say they started working on your account without payment so you still owe additional money.....helped with credit but they are all about taking as much money as possible....then argue about having a remaining balance after account closed

Lack of Accountability and Petty Customer Relations

Lexington Law failed to create my account or provide me access to said account when I signed up for the service. I contacted them about this problem and they offered to send me account creation emails, but I never received them. I decided to cancel because they could not provide me with the service they advertised. They refused to refund the charges, stating the $129.95 was a “setup” fee for an account they could never manage to provide. I was forced to dispute this transaction with my bank for this reason. $129.95 was billed on February 4th 2022, after I attempted to create an account on January 28th, 2022 and they failed to provide this service. It was refunded to my account on May 4, 2022 after what I can only describe as extremely petty customer support provided by Lexington Law.

Right plan, just wrong time.

Overall They do what they say. If you don't know how to handle your credit they are very patient with helping explain the process and do actively work or helping resolve your issues. I am finding out that I have to be patient. The only problem i've had is that the pricing has affected my planned asset allocation in reducing my overhead and has left me in the negative. yet with this i can negate over time to rebalance my planning.

This place is a joke

This place is a joke. I paid them for 3 months to do nothing for both my wife and I and wasted roughly $600+ for nothing to get done to my credit. The only thing they helped did was remove a late payment on a credit card from 6 years ago that isn't even affecting my credit anymore. I had a collection and a few other things that I highlighted that I needed help with and they weren't able to get anything taken care of. I canceled them and sent a validation letter to the collection company and the bureaus and all it cost me was $24 for certified mail fees and within 3 weeks the collection was removed from my credit. Pretty sad that in 3 months they couldn't do what I did myself in under 3 weeks. I paid these people to help get these things done but it's very obvious there are just here to take your money for as long as they can without actually getting the things done that you specify to them that you need taken care of. Waste of time, Waste of money, and should honestly get my money back for them doing absolutely nothing. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING WITH THIS COMPANY. You'll spend money and your credit won't change. Maybe if you pay them for 2 years something will eventually get done but honestly if they worked hard for you to get things done, it wouldn't take that long.

I would never recommend Lexington Law…

I would never recommend Lexington Law to anyone. I paid them for 5 months and they didn't help at all. Every time I called I got the runaround. We finally decided to just pay off our debts and cancel, and when I called the guy I spoke with tried and tried to change my mind no matter how many times I said no until I finally had to get loud with him and tell him to let me talk to his boss. Now I found out that credit repair services aren't even supposed to charge you until after they get results. Lexington Law is just a money trap. Don't use them unless you're interested in wasting money on absolutely nothing.

For the uninformed. Please save your money

What I wrote to Lexington Law to terminate my service will be shown below. This service is not a legit one. They designed a trap to mislead uninformed consumers and the service is purposely designed to keep the money coming in.

"Greetings,

I wish to terminate my service. I am very unhappy with the service. My phone consultation was filled non helpful lies essentially. Purposely designed to mislead a unknowledgeable consumer to "challenge" everything in an unproductive way. The only reason I allowed it to continue was to see how it all played out. That was a mistake as the information was incorrect that was presented to me. The service maybe more for the completely clueless. I have seen things pop off and then pop right back on my report due to this misleading advice to challenge. I have also received letters from creditors that do not want to deal with you stating the communication was from a credit repair service and that they only respond to the consumers. To be honest I think a refund is order, but doubt based on my dealings this would ever happen. This was a money trap and I fell for it. Thinking that maybe there was value where there was none. Also again flat out lied too on the call stating I had no FICO score etc. or that I can challenge a bankruptcy that has yet to complete its term. The call was purposely designed in way to make the "uninformed" consumer make decisions to generate more "work". This of course keeps the subscription going longer and puts more money in your pockets and drains the consumers. Most that fell off, I previously challenged before engaging your services.
Please terminate my account immediately. If someone other than than the genius I spoke with wants to speak with me, let me know. For your sakes I hope either she does not truly represent your organization or your efforts are designed to get as much money out of everyone who falls into the trap.
I will do my best to review your service wherever I can to hopefully steer consumers away. The difference is I will be honest and open.

Anthony Fichera"

This company is a total FRAUD!

This company is a total FRAUD!
They increased the monthly price without authorization and added services that I never agreed to.
In 10 months of their services, there were ZERO results. In fact, creditors actually replied with letters stating that Lexington Law is making frivolous claims. Also, interesting to point out that when they call you from their 800 number, the caller ID says "Scam Likely".

I canceled the service, but they still kept on charging me.

Fraudulent company with horrible customer support.

Legalized fraud

I signed up for Lexington Law's service over a year ago. They received Thier payment every month from me and in that time managed to accomplish absolutely nothing. They claim to have sent some "challenge letters". If that's true I've seen zero evidence to corroborate it. Communication from Lexington Law has been minimal at best. Basically the only interaction I have received from them was when I stopped paying the bill.

ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!

I'm a disabled widow in dire need of home repairs...my entire roof leaks and my floors are falling in, literally...I fell through my living room floor March 17, 2021...due to 3 charge-offs on my credit, I can't get a loan...I signed up with Lexington Law July 12, 2021...they took the 1st payment out July 17, 2021 for $129.95...I contacted them September 13, 2021 because I couldn't afford to pay $130...they suggested a different plan...I was once again assured that they could help...I paid $59.95 for the next 3 months...December 13, 2021, I contacted them again...they said they'd send documents for me to sign and return to them, that would help speed up the process...today is February 14, 2022, and they still haven't sent anything...every time I tried to cancel, they'd assure me they would fix my credit...I finally had enough today and insisted they cancel my "plan"...I was then informed I owe them $54.15 for work done...I don't feel I owe them anything...in fact, I feel they owe me a refund...this company shouldn't be permitted to practice law...they definitely know how to twist the law though

Lexington Law use deceptive practices…

Lexington Law use deceptive practices to rope you into their service. For me they used rent to own homes. They do not send letters to creditors under their name which would seem more meaningful instead they send it in your name and is a very pleasant letter like one from Grandma. They were sued in 2019 for using deceptive advertising by the Government but won’t tell you this and they are not accredited by the BBB but they have many many complaints filed with the BBB. Do yourself a favor just fix it yourself through the credit bureaus, it’s free and easy to do. It’s best that businesses like this get put out of business for the better of the people who don’t wish to be scammed

DON'T TRUST THESE THEIVES

I'm a 9 months pregnant single and disabled Mom and Widow who still has a 3 yr old daughter and a 19 yr old deaf daughter at home on a fixed income. The expected daughter I am pregnant has a tumor on her spine and even in the very best of circumstances will be hospitalized for quite awhile and I am trying very hard to not go into labor any earlier than the already early, mandatory C-section to better increase her chances of survival and ability to thrive. It's 3 weeks from Christmas. I went to go pay my rent earlier and couldn't, because Lexington Law Firm has taken hundreds of dollars from my account after I told multiple Representatives that I would most certainly NOT be able to participate in their program because of the cost being way too expensive for me. Several times I stated this to a very minimum of 3 different people who had gotten enough of my back story to know exactly who they were scamming. I can't pay my rent now and even if I get my money back I will have to pay a $50 late fee!!! I told them NO and they did it anyway. That's STEALING. I'm so upset by this alternatingly furious, devastated, and I actually feel violated!! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH ANYTHING. They will obviously take from anyone regardless of however humble your circumstances are. To make it clear to anyone reading this who does not exist in poverty those few hundred dollars stolen by them will leave my daughters and I homeless. Even if my money is returned promptly on Monday morning I will still have a $50 late fee and have now spent several hours ridiculously upset because of their greed and disregard. To trust them with anything is absolute folly. Find another firm to help you unless you trust thieves. I hope you're smarter than that.

Don't do it

Don't do it. This company makes it very easy to sign up through its partnerships with mortgage companies. Essentially, they send a ton of form letters out each month to your creditors. They send the same letter over and over. Whilel I got an initial, modest benefit, they made it extremely difficult to cancel--you can only cancel by calling them. To discourage you from doing that, they regularly post messages on their site about long wait times for phone calls. What's worse though, is that they keep billing you long after they're having any impact rather than saying, "we've done everything we can at this point." I regret the money I've spent for this "service" and urge you not to give in as I did.

I have hired Lexington law for on & off for 12 or so years!

I have hired Lexington law for on & off about 12 years. In the beginning I only paid I think 39.99 a month. Later on they got a bit pricey. let me start by saying that Lexington law overall was good for me. Let me also start with my issue.
I had 26 negative items on my credit. I hired them to remove them. They were able to remove 23!
During this pandemic I had them, but like I mentioned there prices became a bit pricey for me. I was using the 129.99 deal which always turned into 150 a mo., that is what I was paying they always got me for a few extra fees. Still I didn’t mind Bc my credit scores were moving in the right direction.
In the end Lexington law hit a brick wall with me. They just could not get the other three off as I stated. Now in late 2021 for a while I was still using them & still paying them until I realized that I could just save that money & start working on my credit and scores myself. I mean in this pandemic a lot of us already we’re working from home so no big deal there. I got on the phones at 10 am every morning & started calling all three credit Bureaus. This is where I began to realize I could saved the fees I was paying Lexington law. After doing lots of online research and studying the laws of debt and credit & speaking with one bureau, I found out that 2 of those last three items that were still on my reports were going to fall off & be deleted in 2022! That 3rd 2025! This is what that brick wall was! They had not reach there statuses. Now they will not tell you but so much Bc that would make you stop using them.Lexington law. Lol so as I said earlier there are some pros & cons to hiring them. One thing I’d say is that they should let you know that the reason nothing is falling off your reports & or why they tend to hit walls at times that nothing is happening or your scores don’t move for a while. This would be being more honest in there practice. I did learn a lot this time around hiring them. When I left them I was at a 580 or so, I came in with a 487 But in the end I’m on my own & doing great! My scores are almost at 700! & that’s all me! may you too figure it all out as I did. Be patient because it’s a lot of sweat & tears in the beginning 😓 but in the end it’s all smiles. I am truly proud of myself for having what I call credit Discipline. Good luck i hope this will help someone. I had one customer service rep that was nasty contacting me, was told he was delt with. So they loose one star for that & one for not completing there task that I paid for each month. I give them a three star.

Credit repair company experiment …

I had the most expensive membership LexingtonLaw offers for 3 months $129 a month.
They will inform you that you 3-6 moths is the average repair time needed based on your credit profile. We found this to be False as some people in our group used LexingtonLaw for 6 moths and never seen any improvement and due to this company being a subscription based company obviously they’re gonna prolong the process as much as possible. But what most people don’t know is that having a dispute with a credit bureau can and will decrease your credit score during the time of the dispute. So with LexingtonLaw prolonged process due to their subscription based business model this can do more harm than good over their prolonged process and feel they have received enough money for their services.
They will inform you that they dispute up to 8 items a month. We found that was false. Three people I know as well as myself used this service and I didn’t have but 3 items all together no one in our group had 8 items all together and as for myself they only sent out 1 dispute per month!
They will also inform you that you can discontinue service at any time with no cancellation fees. Which we found to also be false out of the 4 people in our group that used LexingtonLaw all of which were charged fees for cancellation myself was charged a fee of $90 and some as much as $116. And they will tell you it’s for work they already have done in your behalf even though they may or may not have done anything for you over the past month! We also found They always manage to go all month and not do anything until right before billing.
I think this company takes advantage of people who are looking for second chances that have limited options. I can only report the experiences of me and the people in my group which is why we decided to do a group of 4 people one for each star on a review with one star being required to leave a review would equal 5 stars. With our experiment LexingtonLaw was people Advantage 3.0 FICO of 620-670 using the service from 3-9 months. Because LexingtonLaw is a monthly subscription and not commission or quota based business model.
I have been watching and listening to customer feedback for 6 or 7 years now and I think LexingtonLaw started out as a company with good intentions that has gotten so big they have lost sight of what’s most important. You the customers! There are much more motivated companies out there that will work based on progress for a lot less money. We found that for price of the subscription and the service LexingtonLaw law provides to their customers are inadequate.

Lexington Law took my credit repair off the back burner, without it boiling over

Lexington Law took the headache away when dealing with correcting mistakes on my credit score. From the beginning until now I have had support and updates every step of the way. Lexington Law allowed me to take my credit repair off the back burner without allowing it to boil over or become stressful. If I was able to talk to the agent who spent do much time going over every aspect of my credit report with me so we could get stuff categorized and processed I would thank her a million times over. She really earned my faith and confidence in Lexington Law.
