The audio quality is great, with human supervision behind it. David did an amazing job and produced a high quality audiobook that was just amazing. I'll be doing the rest of my backlist as well. Highly recommend it!
LEX.audio provides a much needed service for authors, bridging the gap between purely robotic narrators (usually disappointing) and live human narrators (always expensive). At LEX, the recording process is overseen by experienced human people, who not only use different curated AI voices for each character, but also layer in fully licensed music and sound. The result is a more cinematic experience than a book with simple narration--though that's also available, if authors prefer a single narrator. The price tag is fair and affordable for authors on a shoestring, and the customer support is outstanding. These guys are personable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend LEX.audio to any authors looking for an affordable, high-quality way to provide audiobooks for their readers. 5+ stars!
I've enjoyed the app. The translation feature works very well. I should add, before I tried translating through the app, I did ask a few bi-lingual friends to translate for me but they were busy. When I got the translation from LEX, both of them, independently, said the translation was very good and essentially how they would have done it anyway.
The plethora of audiobook options is great (I'm halfway through "Waning of the Middle Ages" right now). The audiobook feature, which I tried a bit, is very high quality. I haven't dived in very deep as far as accessing or using every feature, but I haven't had any technical issues and have had an enjoyable experience with the features I have used thus far.
If you had asked me this same time last year if I'd be uploading a professionally scored audiobook to spotify, google play, etc. I'd be like "Yeah maybe if I won the lottery".
I'm very pleased with the quality and distribution. I'd recommend Lex Audio to any author looking for such a seamless solution to turning their novels into affordable yet professional-sounding audiobooks.
