Scammers trying to steal our money for minor wear and tear. We rented a car with them for two years and returned it in good condition. They pointed out a couple of minor scratches and we didn't think this was a problem until we got a bill for 2000 euros that they only sent by email and went to spam so we didn't even see it.
I bought a car from LeasePlan/CarNext 2 years ago. With roughly 20.000 km driven in my hands, the engine and turbo died (it's an E-segment executive/mid-size luxury car!). Their 'warranty' consists essentially in forcing you to leave your car in one of the multi-brand workshops of their network, to be there rotting for more than 1 month and a half just to get a diagnosis. Every week I call/go to the workshop and they say they're waiting for the car expert from LeasePlan/CarNext to go there and evaluate. It's completely unacceptable that they don't even provide any kind of deadline to fix the car, nor a rental during the time it is in the workshop (the 'warranty' only 'offers' a replacement car for a week). If you're considering to lease/buy a car from LeasePlan/CarNext, and you think they're a solid and reliable company, think again.
