Learn to Be a Doula offers live online birth doula training taught by me, Robin Elise Weiss, a DONA International Approved Birth Doula Trainer. I've been a doula since 1990, have trained more than 10,000 doulas, and have attended more than 1,500 births. I still attend births today. All of my birth doula workshops take place live on Zoom. You can choose a three-day intensive, a five-week evening course, or a five-day morning course. Every format covers the same curriculum. Training includes small-group discussions, birth scenarios, role plays, demonstrations, and hands-on practice with a real person during an active labor simulation on the final day. You'll have opportunities to ask questions and practice what you're learning. Your registration includes the DONA International Approved Birth Doula Workshop, Introduction to Childbirth, Lactation for Birth Professionals, and HIPAA training. Each component comes with its own certificate documenting your training hours. You leave training ready to attend your first birth. If you choose to pursue DONA International certification, you'll complete the remaining certification requirements directly through DONA. Ongoing mentoring is included with your training. After the workshop, you can join my alumni community, attend weekly live group Q&A sessions, and participate in quarterly Doula Deep Dives. You can continue asking questions as you begin attending births and building your doula practice. Payment plans are available, along with community and equity seats. I accept the SpouseWorks Scholarship (formerly MyCAA) for eligible military spouses. Learn more at LearnToBeADoula.com/training.

A league of her own

Robin is by far, one of the best doulas you can encounter. When she says she cares, she cares. There are several trainers who are training doulas, but most of them close the connection when the training is over. That is not Robin. Robin helps in so many ways to help her students succeed. From weekly office hours to workshops, bringing in experts to talk about certain topics, and the list goes on. Training with Robin has helped launch my career, and I will forever be grateful.
