Pretty sure this is a scam
Pretty sure this is a scam? Can anyone else help at all? Missed one payment and ive received a letter saying I owe £500 within 3 weeks. I owed less than £100 and was already paying that off with a payment plan.
Genuine?
I don't know if this company is genuine but fraudulent activity occurred on my account with money going out to this company.
Harassment!!
Harassment!!
They've sent letters demanding I pay a bill that's never existed for EDF. I've followed their requests, raised disputes, emailed, called etc but they never respond other than by sending another demand letter and then have the audacity to text me and ask me to call them. I played along but no one answers.
What an absolutely awful company to deal with. Causing no end of stress because they don't have the right processes in place and clearly don't have any evidence of the money owed. EDF are just as bad, not responding so I suspect this is all a scam!
Time to report them to trading standards!!
Have sent letters for me to someone in…
Have sent letters for me to someone in a whole different part of the country that happens to have the same initials as me, zero due diligence, zero respect to confidentiality, almost almost as bad as hmrc for customer service.
Got a nasty letter for a supposed bill…
Got a nasty letter for a supposed bill for three years ago.
Very unpleasant phone manner - have given them more info than I should but that's life. These sort of companies should be banned. The "debt" is to Scottish Power and LCS have "bought" the debt. They say that shouldn't speak to SP but when I did, they were actually helpful. Don't deal with them.
SCAM COMPANY !
SCAM COMPANY !
Got a letter from 1st Locate/ LCS, saying I owed money to Scottish Power, from 2018-2022.The property they refer to was sold at auction. After reading TRUSTPILOT reviews, SCAMMERS, we cannot all be wrong !!!!!Action Fraud notified and have crime number. This type of scam needs stopping.Too many people scammed daily.
Scammers
Scammers! Sent me a letter saying I own money to HRMC PLS be careful check the contact numbers they put on the letter which is scammer, website is scammer pls do not send any money check with HRMC
Suspicious texts about debt
Received two texts from LCS from a withheld number about an overdue HMRC bill. I haven't had official correspondence from HMRC so this has come out of the blue. I'm a bit suspicious about this so I have contacted HMRC for clarity. I'm not going to engage or provide any personal information to LCS until I get more information from HMRC. Seems dodgy.
Scammers
I opened a Ltd company and within one week got a letter stating I have an outstanding debt in the company name that I need to settle. What a joke! The company hasn't even started trading or have a bank account let alone buy any services in their name. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY.
This company is trying to scam you
This company is trying to scam you be careful. I had a text by LCS saying they were collecting debt payment for my energy bill. But my energy bill had just been sorted last week. I reached out to my energy company and they said they had never even contacted this company “LCS”.
When you login to the LCS portal with the references they give you… they have no details on you. You have to put all them in yourself. This is them scamming you. I called them and they just tried to get all my details and didn’t tell me anything despite me having the reference they gave me. Be careful!! Total scam!! Don’t give them any details.
What an appalling company
Otherwise known as LCS, Colton, Leeds LS15 9LN
What an appalling company. I received a letter asking for settlement of a bill for Scottish Power gas that has nothing at all to do with me. The gas bill is for a flat in a block where I once owned and lived in a completely separate apartment...with completely separate front door/utility service/meters.
I moved from that block of flats two years ago but this appalling company somehow got hold of my current address some 70 miles distant.
Just a fishing expedition...bullying behaviour.
I phoned, clarified the situation and asked for written confirmation that this debt is not mine. It seems they can bully but not have the courtesy to confirm withdrawal of that bullying. I will NEVER be a customer of Scottish Power...never, never, never or any company that uses such disreputable debt collectors. I have absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS DEBT and do not want my name and address on their IT system.
This bunch of Charlatans pursued me for…
This bunch of Charlatans pursued me for a ‘debt’ yet couldn’t provide an accurate bill to back this up. I sued the alleged creditor (Eon Next) under agency law and today they settled.
Dreadfull company they manufacture…
Dreadfull company they manufacture alleged dept, when you phone they offer you a discount to settle it immediately, or they threaten you with a CCJ.
Mine was for an alledged debt with E ON Next I have never had an account with this company. I thought there were laws in this country to stop this kind of behaviour? The best bit is they are under the Umbrella of the Financial Conduct Authority! Who clearly support their behaviour. When challenged about their action they ignor you.
I keep getting text messages and calls…
I keep getting text messages and calls from a lady claiming that she is from this company. it is always the same lady even if I call the number back 03445439103 and she act like she has never talked to me and do not recall our previous conversation. Initially she told me that she is contacting me on behalf their client "Scottish Power" and asked for my personal details that I refused to provide. I asked her for the reason of the call and she refused to provide me any further information. Today she even refused to confirm the details of the company she is contacting me on their behalf. I have reported the phone number to OFCOM on 7726.
A pure scam company
A pure scam company. Manufactures a bogus debt and then hassles you for it. Absolutely do not pay this company anything.
Awful Company
I just had to write a review for this company, not that I expect them to respond. They have sent me endless emails for a debt on an account that is closed with no outstanding payment on it.I have tried numerous amounts of times to contact this company. No one ever answers the phone or if you ask for a call back, the wrong department calls you back then transfers you to another department that never answers the phone. You can’t email them but they can harass you by email, constantly. How are these companies allowed to operate like this. My matter is still ongoing as I am in a vicious circle of unanswered calls. Being pursued for a debt that doesn’t exist !!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Tom saved the day.
I had to retract my original review based on a very good customer service agent employed by this company.
He goes by the first name of Tom. This man has the patience of a saint and is a very strong individual.
Initially the experience I had with 1st Locate was a negative one. I was supplying all the evidence I could but was getting nowhere fast as it was not enough.
I paid the debt in order to prevent any form of County Court action being taken against me and it relieved some of the stress and gave me a little time to carry out a little more digging for evidence.
I finally managed to find what I needed and was able to prove that I was not responsible for the debt. I made contact with 1st Locate, who looked into the additional evidence, even after I had paid the debt.
They were able to confirm that I was not liable for the debt and refunded me all of the money I paid in full.
It turns out that the error was neither mine or 1st Locates but in fact, Scottish Power. They had supplied the wrong address details.
From this experience, it has taught me that the reason why some of the debt recovery agencies are the way they are is because of dishonest people who refuse to pay their bills. It has also taught me that when evidence is 100% and proves you're not responsible, companies like 1st Locate are happy to refund money back to you.
Another scam
I read many reviews and I could copy paste all of them into my review!
What an awful company this is!!
Why don't they reply to any of the reviews - at least that could be an indication that they care about the reviews and what people think of them!
LCS - leave people alone, pure evil
I have tried & tried to obtain answers to my basic questions & simply have had enough.
This concerns SSE for the record. Do not pay anything as it’s laughable what LCS responds with.
Bottom feeders
Why is it not possible to give 0 or minus stars?
This is a bailiff company that harasses individuals at the behest of large corporations, in my case the scum known as shell energy.
After months of refuting the claims that I owe money, LCS decided to stop harassing me. No apology, no formal acknowledgement that the case is closed, just a note saying "if you have further enquiries contact shell".
Is it any wonder bailiffs get a bad name? Try acting with integrity, honesty and treat individuals with respect LCS, as I have done with you throughout this sordid business.
Bottom feeders, just like shell energy
